  1. Can you imagine adding Puig and Valencia in the same off-season? Yikes.
  2. So it CAN be done after all... I thought there must be some unwritten rule against firing 3B coaches since Ed Sedar continues to be employed in the field.
  3. hmmm, that will be different, hopefully those who normally show up to games late or at the start of the game will get the message...
  4. Will this effect his speed? Seems speed is a large part of his game...
  5. and I'm pretty sure there will be a vintage bobble too. We can probably expect either a 90's version, or Milwaukee Braves, or possibly even a Seattle Pilots version at some time... 10.
  6. Forgot about the SSH bobble... 9.
  7. They also need to finish the 2nd set of full sized sausages. They need to do the brat, same as they need to do the brat stitch n pitch to finish that set. The brat gets no respect. Villar is a lock for 2017, stolen base leader bobble. Carter, also a lock, Home Run leader bobble. We know there will be a Hank the Dog bobble. The overkill continues. Rumor has it there will be an Attanasio bobble in 2017, along with a Juan Nieves no hitter 30 year anniversary bobblehead. I sincerely hope they do the brat to finish the 2nd set of full sized bobbles. That makes 6 right there... Special event bobbles are also in play, there will be a stitch n pitch (brat I hope) and a Star Wars bobble... That makes a minimum of 8.
  8. 2nd basemen that can stick are a bit more challenging to find. Not for us, we can't find a 1B to save our lives, but we can find 2B/IF like no one's business...
  9. So, here is how things turned out for the 3 keeper teams I listed above before the season started. Situation #1: Final Standings: 1st place Ended up keeping Votto, Correa, Kershaw, Sale and deGrom. Correa and deGrom were both major disappointments, but I was able to draft well enough that I absorbed the loss and finished almost 500 points ahead of the 2nd place team. Situation #2: Final Stangings: 1st place Ended up keeping Bumgarner, Kershaw, Sale, Scherzer, Syndergaard, and deGrom. All starting pitchers. deGrom disappointed, but with those other 5 anchoring my starting rotation, I was able to overcome his poor season. Mistake: Letting Altuve go back into the draft pool. Probably should have kept him over deGrom, but hindsight is always 20/20. Situation #3 Final Standings: 3rd place Ended up keeping Abreu, Strasburg, Sale, Felix, Syndergaard, deGrom, Kimbrel Many disappointments on this squad, starting with Abreu, deGrom, Felix and Kimbrel. All underperformed, and cost me another title. I finished only 75 points out of 1st place, so had any of those pitchers lived up to my expectations, I could have easily won that lague too. Mistake: Letting Mookie Betts go back into the draft pool. Should have kept him and cut Kimbrel loose. *NONE of my leagues are playoff leagues. We go straight up "most points during the course of the regular season, WINS!*
  10. Oh my gosh, YES! He needs to be held accountable for his horrible 3B coaching. It is time to cut him loose. Doesn't matter how well liked he is, doesn't matter that he is a great guy, he is hurting the team. Maybe a demotion is in order rather than a pink slip, but if he is back at 3B next year, I am going to seriously wonder what is going on...
  11. Jungman shouldn't be in there with 6 IP.
  12. Nelson had a really stinky year, that we knew, but now we REALLY know it... I sincerely hope he finds what he lost this off season.
  13. But you just said you'd be taking him for free. I'm pretty sure he meant if the Yankees gave him to us with no compensation, we get him PLUS his contract.
  14. After his 2-0 "swing" in the ninth, I don't feel too bad for him. That was lame and selfish. I hope he got a good talking to after that ridiculous display. As much as I sometimes love the guy, it is things like this and his base stupid running mistakes that don't fully allow me to embrace him...lol
  15. I could also trade these for the On Deck cards if interested... viewtopic.php?f=68&t=34454
  16. Hello everyone, Looking to add to my On Deck signed card collection. (looking for the 5x7 cards that the players have at their tables that they sign for the fans) If anyone has any they don't want or need, let me know. I have a few duplicates I could trade, or if bobbles are your thing, I could trade bobbles as well. If the price is right, I can just purchase them too. Send me a message if interested. Thanks!
  17. I second that motion. 3rd, does the motion carry?
  18. muddie, I have sent you a PM (private message)...
  19. I can't believe Rock and BA don't rip on Eddie for his ineptness. They must see it, right?
  20. Way to hustle down that line Domingo... ...and another great decision to waive Carter in from 3rd Eddie, you ridiculous excuse for a 3B coach. Eddie has to go, he just has to GO! Of course Arcia follows that up with a base hit, Eddie costing us yet another run.
  21. It is hard for me to imagine Suter as a staple in the rotation with that 85 mph fastball... I wish him nothing but the best of luck going forward, but I don't have as much faith in him sticking as some do.
