Disappointed to see Walla and Hopkins go... Really enjoyed watching them play in Appleton, and they were great to fans with autographs and such...

whoa. That is more than intoxicated... Isn't that close to an alcohol overdose? What a waste.

FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that Justin Upton has updated his no-trade list in order to allow him to block deals to the Cubs, Brewers, Indians, and Blue Jays. Also of note is CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reporting that Upton has removed the Mariners from his no-trade list. The Braves are said to be contemplating listening to offers for Upton, Jason Heyward and Evan Gattis this offseason. Upton is slated to hit free agency after the 2015 campaign. Not according to at least one poster on this board... Some seem to think that an ace is overvalued and ridiculous... I think a true ace is necessary to compete once you get to the play-offs... Without one, the odds are against you.

I bet this move by the Mets will be followed by others... No way this is the only move they make, wouldn't make any sense.

It will be full of kids......if that seems like a vacation, go for it! I know someone who went a couple years ago with their kids and they loved it! Disney is usually quality, so I wouldn't worry about that, my only concern is that you will be "kidded" to death for the duration of your cruise... If I am going on a cruise with my wife only, I'd want to be away from other people's snotty, bratty kids...

Hasn't Shields fast ball taken a dip recently? I think a guy like Shields screams breakdown...

Are we no longer allowed to like our own darn players, present or past? Gosh, give us a break already...

Lind, Parra, and Broxton will not sell tickets... Name players sell tickets, big ticket stars sell tickets, not extra parts like the 3 players I mentioned.

You're right, it would be low if it were only my own opinion. Honestly, I would love to meet the people who think Luc is a better catcher. I need a good laugh these days. *poking giant and bravely running away*

Tulo hardly ever plays due to numerous injuries. We can't afford another injury riddled player that can't stay on the field.

Maybe they were tired of his injury history and drug addiction issues perhaps? I know Molitor gets a lot of love here, but his injuries were extensive and the drugs were kept behind the scenes throughout his career in Milwaukee. Maybe, just maybe, the front office was just tired of dealing with the behind the scenes stuff and wanted to cut ties.

I hate it. I hate winter, I hate snow, and I hate being cold. WORD!

Getting dark at 4:30 bugs me.........a lot!

Dodgers send Van Skyke, Dee Gordon, & Zach Lee Brewers send: Segura, Gallardo Dee Gordon our new SS, Van Slyke is our 1B against LHP and a big bat off the bench. And we get a pitcher who has the makings of a Gallardo if he can put it together within the next 1-2 years. Dodgers get their #3-4 pitcher, and a capable 2B/SS cheap. The Dodgers would laugh us off the phone if this was proposed to them, and they would probably never answer our calls again, ever.

What I don't like about this signing is that we are going to go into the season KNOWING that we will have to platoon 1B again. This wastes a bench spot, and it is pretty certain that we will need to platoon 2B. Just like last year, we could have 2 guys on the bench that can only play one position in the IF. (Although I know Lind has played in the OF in the past, haven't looked it up yet to see how often, but he was outfield eligible in fantasy leagues since I can remember) I was hoping for a bigger splash in an offensive minded position, so this is a disappointment to me personally.

Geez 'stache, thanks for depressing me...

and surely you pay for those 10 minutes too...

If Taylor Green makes the Brewers not look at all their options, that will make me angry. Green is an afterthought in my opinion, that ship has sailed...

Royals are letting Billy Butler go... I would think DM will kick the tires at least.

I completely disagree. The manager is involved with every decision made during game time. Some managers are better game managers than others. I will never understand how someone can say that managers don't matter when we had one start Mark freaking Kotsay in the NLCS in CF, which cost us the game, and possibly the trip to the World Series. Managers matter a lot in my opinion. It seems easy to dismiss their importance, but in reality, every decision they make effects the outcome of a game.
  23. TURBO
Ummm, can you give us YOUR definition of greatness if the Giants fall short in your world? 3 World Series titles in 5 years IS the definition of greatness, what else can it be? *scratching head*
  24. TURBO
damn. I hate the Giants, but MadBum was like a super hero this series.

Perez swinging for the fences when a single is all that is needed for extra innings.... Seem familiar? He just can't lay off the high stuff...
