  1. Proves that he doesn't care about winning...
  2. Lowering the mound would be fine if it makes sense, but lengthening the distance to home plate is a recipe for disaster with injuries It's bad enough now already.
  3. ...and the "B" movies are done! Braveheart - I never remember how much I like this movie until I see it again! KEEPER! On to the "C" movies...:)
  4. It's too bad they don't just leave the water tower as is to pay homage to the team that played there for so long...
  5. If you can get him at a REALLY good price, sure. I just don't view Turang as the kind of player you need to extend.
  6. Why not just start one, let him go 3-4 innings, then have the other one get you to the 9th, where a closer comes in. I see piggy backing the same two guys every 5th day as a pretty interesting thing to try, especially with Ashby and Hall.
  7. Not much this year because he was hurt for a good share of 2024... I HIGHLY doubt the Rangers would be looking to move him............cheaply.
  8. This! It always irritates me when the term ghost runner is used. Have these people never been kids playing baseball? Geez.
  9. I have not fact checked this, but found it interesting. I thought we'd be in the bottom 5, but ended up in the bottom 8.
  10. Again, you are proposing Polanco to 3B, a new guy at 2B, so that leaves Turang and Ortiz at SS. You have one too many guys for 3 positions. No to Polanco, big hard NO!
  11. So Polanco at 3B, Turang to SS, and a new guy at 2B? Aren't you forgetting about Ortiz?
  12. I refuse to believe (even though I am probably wrong) that the Brewers are entertaining the idea of Frelick as our starting, normal, everyday 3B. It seems like a really bad idea.
  13. I loved it! Just a great sit back and enjoy it kind of movie! I'd even watch it again!
  14. You are assuming the Mets are done signing guys?
  15. Dude...
  16. RED ONE - AWESOME!
  17. Projecting Gasser AND Woodruff as opening day starting rotation pieces is dangerous, very dangerous...
  18. Why not make an exclusive forum page for the blueprint directions, links, etc AND all the separate posts from members with their blueprints? Those that want to read through them could, those that don't want to see them wouldn't have to go around them. They are getting a bit much, and will probably get a lot worse.
  19. I can't see Pratt starting in a lower level than he finished the season. (actually he was playing in Biloxi for the playoffs) Not a chance he starts in Carolina, and if he does start out at Wisconsin, it won't be for long... I could actually see him starting in Biloxi.
  20. He's been so good in Tampa, happy for him and the Bucs!
  21. Yeah, it's smart to let everyone think they are willing to keep him to possibly up the ante, but I think we all know they will not be to eager to move him at the deadline if they are in the chase. This is just GM speak, and I think there is a lot better chance he is moved than keeping him around.
  22. I'd rather take a chance on a Hoskins rebound than a washed up Goldschmidt to be honest. Unless we'd plan to use Hoskins as primarily a DH if we had both of them, but it seems like it's one or the other. Interesting that this article pegs Sasaki as either a Dodger or Padre with no mention of anyone else even having a remote chance. Geez, I'd love it if the Crew could sneak in there and land him, but as much as a lot of us are hoping, I'd give it about a 1% (realistically less than 1%) chance of happening.
  23. Please, don't just make change for the sake of change. This forum needs to be separate from the others.
  24. Latest DVD purge: Bruce Almighty - Cute little movie, has some pretty funny parts, but nothing I need to see again. Goes against my "never dump a Jennifer Aniston movie rule" but it's just not good enough to keep. Goner. Brooklyn's Finest - This isn't a bad movie at all, and there is a lot of build-up between the 3 stories that lead to the chaotic ending. I like the movie, but don't need it in the collection. Goner. Butterfly Effect - Another movie that is pretty good, and worth seeing, but just not keeper worthy. Goner
