  1. White Sox Gavin Sheets also cut loose. Maybe an option at 1B and does play some OF too.
  2. Wasn't sure where to put this, but I'm disappointed we let him go. Atlanta signed OF Carlos Rodriguez to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract. Rodriguez joins Atlanta from the Brewers’ organization. The 23-year-old hit .284/.368/.374 in his time at the Double-A and Triple-A levels in 2024. He’ll compete for a fourth outfield spot in spring training with Atlanta
  3. I can only imagine the outrage in that area over a name change. They could have easily kept the exact same name and just did some updates on unis and logos if they feel they needed to. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  4. I think it was a mistake not using the Police to get it figured out. Odds are, the police report would have exonerated you from all damage, meaning your insurance wouldn't/shouldn't have been involved.
  5. DVD Purge: -Getting close to the end of my "B" movies... The Brave One - This is a good flick, couldn't remember anything about it until I watched it, so I thought it might be a goner, but nope, keeping it. Bridesmaids - This movie had a ton of truly laugh out loud moments. I didn't remember it being this damn funny! Keeper. Bull Durham - One of my top 3 favorite baseball movies of all time! Great movie from start to finish, just an absolute classic! KEEPER!
  6. I'm gonna say hell no if we are cutting payroll....Not a fan of the guy even if we were planning to add payroll..
  7. Oh man, I'd be bummed if you get rid of this forum. I check it several times a day in the off season.
  8. Yeah, why do "Brewers writers" continue to not realize that ship has sailed. I understand how writers from other teams may not know, but our own writers need to bone up on what's going on within our own system
  9. Nice of Willy to act like what he says is true, but we all know he ain't staying. Good luck Willy!
  10. Probably wanted to wait as long as they could to avoid the backlash it is surely going to bring.
  11. Figured it needed a thread since there wasn't one...
  12. I had no idea they would make these changes. I just assumed they would move the team and keep the name. This kind of saddens me. https://www.milb.com/carolina-mudcats/news/wilson-minor-league-baseball-to-unveil-team-name-and-branding-at-public-celebration-on-friday-november-22
  13. More info. needed...
  14. This is the first I have heard of Pratt moving to 3B. Conjecture?
  15. Elevation Really liked this one, but I'm a huge fan of post-apocalypse movies. Has some original twists and turns, and since it's advertised, it isn't a spoiler, the people are safe as long as they stay above 8000 feet elevation. Glad I took a chance on this one!
  16. yup
  17. My wife and I went to The Best Christmas Pageant Ever today. Nice little feel good flick with a bit of A Christmas Story Vibe to it.
  18. The Chiba Lotte Marines announced that they will post Roki Sasaki, making him available to MLB teams. The actual timing of the move will likely be delayed, allowing Sasaki to be signed during the 2025 international period after Jan. 15. After all, the vast majority of those limited 2024 dollars have already been spent. Because he’s just 23 and MLB doesn’t want teams paying youngsters what they’re worth, Sasaki will have to sign a minor league deal, probably capped out at $6 million or so, instead of the $200 million or even $300 million he’d surely command as an actual free agent. The hard-throwing righty went 30-15 with a 2.02 ERA and a 524/91 K/BB over 414 2/3 innings in his four seasons with the Marines. That he’s had some injury issues is a concern, and his stuff last season wasn’t as good as it was previously. Still, he’s one of the world’s most talented pitchers. 19. Latest DVD Purge: Boyz N the Hood: Just a great all around movie. Such a 90's feel, and Ice Cube is great in this one. Keeper! Breakfast Club: One of my favorite all time movies and still holds up. Just a great movie, and for anyone that was in high school in the 80's, that is the bonus plan! TOTAL Keeper! I really thought I'd be dumping more movies, but seem to be keeping the majority.
  20. Not a chance in hell we trade Williams at the deadline if we are in the playoff chase. If we don't trade him in this off-season, we won't be trading him at all.................................................imo.
