  1. The Box - Good concept, but falls flat. Can't believe this was ever in my collection to begin with. Gone! The Bucket List - Great movie! Keeper.
  2. I was going to post this exact thing, you beat me to it. He often takes routine plays and makes the throws as you describe, and it makes no sense that this hasn't been corrected.
  3. DH, 3B and 1B as of now, today, are massive holes, especially when considering that those are typically power positions. Can Hoskins rebound? Might he be able to fill one of those holes either at 1B or DH? We shall see. We have no idea if Sal can even play a passable 3B, much less a good one. Power is just arriving? What does that even mean? So he will be flying out to almost the warning track rather than short outfield? Geez.
  4. Saturday Night Was a good watch, but I felt anxious the entire movie. lol Even though I knew it was all going to work out in the end, it still had me feeling uneasy throughout. Is it a must-see? Nope, but still enjoyed it.
  5. What other spot? 1B? Hoskins will be back, we aren't going to pay him 18 million to ride the bench. DH? We know Yelich will be there, Contreras on off days, and probably some other unwanted journeymen that we sign in hopes of catching lightning in a bottle. 2B/SS? Pretty sure those positions are already covered with Ortiz and Turang, they aren't going anyplace. C? Contreras, enough said. OF? We have Chourio, Mitchell, Frelick and Yelich when he isn't DHing. Who would we replace? Seems to me that we will have to add some kind of power at 3B, or we keep Ortiz at 3B and add a power hitting SS? Unlikely.
  6. This is why you endless stats guys aren't always right... Those numbers you just posted look awesome, but ask Yankees fans about those unawesome games. He had his struggles too.
  7. Exactly. Was just going to post this same stuff, but you beat me to it. Yes, his numbers look really good, but when adding those appearances, I stand by my original statement, He had his struggles too...
  8. He had his struggles in the post season too...
  9. Which is probably exactly what Murphy would do with him. Adames is gone, so he just slides right into his spot in the order if that is all we add to the roster. Gross.
  10. He's just not a bat I'd want anchoring 3B for the next three years. Very "unspecial" and if he hits so poorly playing half his games at Coors Field, why would we want him here? I expect better, Brewers fans should expect better, the Brewers organization should expect better.
  11. ...and water is wet. I'll be shocked if Adames isn't in Dodger blue next season. If that is the case, I hope he drains them dry!
  12. Joker: Folie à Deux’ Yes, I read the reviews and I ignored them like always. Just a horrible movie. All the singing was completely out of place, and the movie just sucked. Loved the first one, but this was a total waste of time and money.
  13. I really want nothing to do with a trade that makes Ramon Urias the centerpiece. Surely we can do better for Williams than Ramon Urias. If not, then just keep him and take the pick in the next draft.
  14. I disagree on both points. He shows zero loyalty to the Brewers, we are his back-up plan. He most certainly is doing it for the money, if not, he would be doing full seasons with the Brewers, not just a game here, and a game there.
  15. Why on earth does anyone think Moncada is going to help us? What has he done for such respect? Always hurt, and when not hurt, just plain disappointing. He is no longer a prospect, he is a failure, so why would we want to spend the money it would take to get him? No thanks.
  16. Yup, like to have guys who are consistently there, not just making occasional guest appearances, which is what BA seems like these days. I want guys who are winning and losing with the team on a daily basis. Guys who are there for all the ups and downs for every game during the season, not just when it works out in their schedule. To me personally, BA just doesn't feel like a Brewer broadcaster any longer, just a guy who fills in.
  17. Meh, I'm used to him being gone. I don't really care if he just plain leaves for good. When he does show up for Brewers games, he just isn't as into it as he used to be. He isn't as informed, and it's hard for me to care what he says when he is no longer living the Brewers life.
  18. In my heart I want Cleveland to win, but my head wants a high payroll team to win it all to shed light on the fact that the league is rigged against the small market teams. Every time a small market team wins it, you can just hear the comments: "see, small market teams can win it all, the league is fair, no salary cap works" ugh
  19. I'm assuming this means 4 playoff teams for the AL and 4 playoff teams for the NL... Division winners make the playoffs, no one else. I don't mind this really...
  20. Back to my DVD purge: Bohemian Rhapsody - I want to dump this one, but I don't. I'll keep it for now, but I can see this one leaving the collection someday. Bone Tomahawk - Deeply disturbing. Goner Bonnie and Clyde - I'm not much of an old movie guy, but this one I remember watching as a kid, and it sticks. Keeper The Jason Bourne Movie Collection - Good action packed flicks, but no need to watch again. Gone, all of them. Bowfinger - Decent and entertaining, but no need to see it ever again. Goner
  21. At this point, I have no clue what the Brewers plans are for Black. Seems 2B and 3B are out the window. I highly doubt they see him as a 1B, at least in the immediate future. That leaves OF, which I thought he was playing a bit of in AAA? I think, if he has any kind of value at all on the trade market, he should be moved, as I just don't feel we are committed to him anyplace on the field.
  22. Which is 100% why he has to be traded this off season, not at next season's deadline. If he starts the year with us, I think he ends the year with us, unless things have gone horribly wrong at the deadline, and we trade him because we are out of the playoff hunt.
  23. Ok, however, we no longer have that dinger hitting shortstop, and since that position will be filled by either Turang or Ortiz, we have to get power from someplace. 3B is the obvious choice for power for us, if we add another light hitting guy to play 3B, or if God forbid we put Frelick over there, where is the power going to come from? Not 2B, not SS, not 3B, and we have a pretty crappy situation to deal with at 1B too. DH? I would expect Yelich to play there a lot the first part of the year. That is decent power, assuming he is 100%. That leaves Catcher (Contreras is a plus there) and the 3 OF spots. Chourio will take care of one of those spots. Perkins/Frelick = no power. Mitchell is yet to be determined. So after breaking it down, 3B 100% has to be a position of power for us. I am completely against sticking Frelick over there. It seems asinine to even consider it when we have guys like Wilkins and Boeve on the cusp.
  24. I want nothing to do with Frelick's bat playing 3B either. Offense and power are supposed to come from the 3B position, and Frelick doesn't provide that. Look at most rosters, and you'll see that the 3B position provides a lot more offense than Sal gives us. Stop with the insanity of him playing 3B. It just isn't realistic. Seems like a novelty idea rather than a realistic idea to me.
