  1. Suarez will probably sit until the deadline. AZ dodging a bullet, you can bet they were praying for a clean checkup. Any team interested should probably do their own x-rays though...
  2. Keep pouring the negativity on Contreras and Yelich, I think we reverse jinxed them.
  3. Dude, you are in the wrong place if you want logic when it comes to hating the Cubs. C'mon. That is a really silly question...
  4. Well, what were the odds the Cubs were going to score a bunch of runs against the Miz?
  5. Not a chance he'd have been taken, he is far from MLB ready.
  6. I will not be sharing my opinion on this trade. 😡🤢
  7. Can't wait to see what we have to give up. Is there any chance another Rays player may be in the deal as well?
  8. I coached my son's little league team, who played against him. lol
  9. As always, no one saw this coming. I find it quite odd to be honest.
  10. Nolan Arenado is not in the lineup for Monday’s game. Arenado could potentially be on the move to a contender ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, but there hasn’t been a ton of buzz on that front quite yet. It’ll be rookie Thomas Saggese taking over at the hot corner in this one. Source: MLB.com
  11. For me personally, it's the 2 - 2.5 month rental that makes me against acquiring Suarez. You trade a guy like Henderson with several years of control, for a guy that will be here 2 months. Just isn't prudent for our organization. That is the part I can't stomach.
  12. The Tigers acquiring Chris Paddack from the Twins in exchange for a prospect, sources tell The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal and Dan Hayes. Paddack has a 4.95 ERA and a weak 17.6% strikeout rate this season, so he’s probably not moving the needle. Still, some extra pitching depth can’t hurt, and with any luck, they wouldn’t need him to start a postseason game. If Paddack goes, Travis Adams might become the Twins’ fifth starter, though he was just sent down earlier today. Source: Ken Rosenthal
  13. I don't care who gets him, as long as it isn't us. Cubs getting him might make them stronger NOW, but weaker in the future. For that reason, I don't mind them being the team that overpays for his services.
  14. USA TODAY’s Bob Nightengale says the Tigers “would love to finalize a deal for (Eugenio) Suárez” during the team’s series against the Diamondbacks that begins Monday. The Tigers could definitely use more right-handed power, and Suárez brings plenty of it to the table. If the Tigers get a deal done, it’d turn Zach McKinstry back into more of a utilityman and probably result in less playing time for Wenceel Pérez and Matt Vierling. Source: Bob Nightengale
  15. Yes, but I didn't think I'd need to clarify. I said I'd rather keep Henderson, which means I'd rather trade Gasser.
  16. The daily rhymes used to be cute. These days, I'd like to put them on mute. Now I find them tedious. I think treego14 thinks they are genius. If they don't stop, I'm calling the cops. and yes, I mean it, I'm serious...
  17. Nope, Henderson, like I said...
  18. Tough one... My gut tells me I'd rather keep Henderson.
