    Or he wanted to play for a winner as basically stated below: An official close to Hyeseong Kim told reporters on Friday that the Angels ultimately had a higher bid than the Dodgers, but other factors influenced the free agent infielder’s decision. Kim cited the fact that the Dodgers won the World Series this past season and have many star players including Shohei Ohtani on their roster as reasons for choosing the Dodgers over their crosstown rivals. If only the Angels had a player like Ohtani. Expect the 25-year-old to thrive in whatever role the Dodgers choose to deploy him in. Source: KBO in English

    A Complete Unknown Good movie, a must if you are a true fan of Dylan. I consider myself a so-so fan, and I must say, being as familiar with his music as I am, it really enabled me to relate to the movie more than if I only knew his hits. I have some other opinions about the movie, but to share them might cause me to spoil some things for those who haven't seen it, so I will abstain.

    Not familiar with this guy, but surprising to see our name tied to a player others might be interested in. The Yankees, Astros, Orioles, Brewers and Twins are among teams interest in Kyle Hart, according to The Athletic’s Katie Woo and Will Sammon. Hart has garnered plenty of interest this offseason as he appears poised to return to the majors following a highly successful stint in Korea where he compiled a sparkling 2.69 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 182/38 K/BB ratio across 157 innings (26 starts). The 32-year-old southpaw rode an uptick in fastball velocity to improved results overseas and is most likely going to get an opportunity somewhere as a back-end rotation option or versatile swingman.     Anyone concerned with Lara's height at 5'7"? He could easily actually be 5'6" as I have stood next to him, he is SHORT! Yes, I know, Jose Altuve, etc. etc. etc., but he is an exception. O'Rae is another really short guy who seems to have fallen off the prospect radar.

    Casual Sex - Found myself laughing at this movie far more than I expected. Kept it. Casualties of War - Disturbing movie, and if this stuff really happens, shame on the human race. Kept it. Castaway - Slow beginning, but still a good flick. Kept. Closer - Not a good movie, all over the place, just kind of weird. Natalie Portman as a stripper almost worth the keep, but nah... Goner!

    Just finalized plans with a couple high school buddies to go to the Brewers/Diamondback series in AZ in April! Anyone been there frequently, or maybe a local to the area with any tips about the stadium? Maybe even things to do in the area while there? Are there any minor league teams in the area that we could attend as well?

    I think we need to commit to letting him get regular at bats for at least a solid month before giving up on the kid. Not - playing him for a game, then sitting him for 3 games, then pinch hitting him the next game, then sitting him for 2, then starting him, etc... Regular, daily at bats for at the very least a solid month. Even a month just isn't enough. Look how long it took Chourio to get going. (NO, I am not comparing Black's talent to Chourio)

    meh... I'd do it, but it wouldn't excite me. I truly think Baty never lives up to expectation, probably the same with EBJ, so to me, this is a total wash trade. Just a flyer.

    He was just cut by Miami, was a pretty highly rated prospect at one point if I remember correctly. Worth taking a flyer on this guy imo. He has also played some SS and OF. Turang goes to SS, Ortiz stays at 3B.

    An arm we may need at some point for a washed up prospect? Nope, that deal wouldn't be made if I was the GM, nope, no. It just isn't turboriffic enough for me. :)

    Then I'd pass.....HARD! Baty is buried in NY, sooner or later, they might just have to dump him all together. I would NOT give them anything of value to be honest. Maybe a couple lottery tickets, but I have no faith in the kid to be what we need.

    If we didn't have Hoskins, this seems like a deal we could have handled... Ari Alexander of KPRC in Houston reports that the Astros are signing Christian Walker to a three-year, $60 million contract. Ken Rosenthal and Chandler Rome of The Athletic reported that the deal was close earlier Friday, and now it appears to be wrapped up, pending a physical. Walker has spent his entire career with the Diamondbacks, and the 33-year-old hit 26 homers with an .803 OPS in 2024 with Arizona over 130 games. He’ll hit in the middle of the order for Houston, and even with no Kyle Tucker, there should be solid opportunities for run production in the Astros’ lineup.
