  1. Good to see Yoho getting some high leverage pitching in today...
  2. Interesting little blurb... Orioles 3B prospect Coby Mayo went 3-for-4 with a walk, two home runs, and three RBI for Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. Mayo is now up to six home runs and 21 RBI on the season while sporting a .935 OPS. Yet, even with Jordan Westburg on the injured list, Mayo remains at Triple-A with Ramon Urias starting games for Baltimore. At this point, it’s unclear when, or if, Mayo will get another shot in Baltimore. His best bet at playing time may be as a trade piece that brings a starting pitcher back to Baltimore.
  3. Seriously, the coverage on our minor league system is 100% top notch! I look forward to reading this page every single day! Keep up the awesome work!
  4. Yeah, I think we DO REALLY need an outfielder. Are you basing that on the return of Perkins? Perkins, though he plays stellar defense just isn't going to cut it offensively. Right now we have Chourio, Frelick, Yelich (kind of...) and Collins/Perkins. If Yelich starts drawing more DH games, as he should, that leaves us extremely thin at OF. We may not need an OFer as much as a 3B, but the need is there for a mashing OFer.
  5. Found it, forgot it was in the minor league room...
  6. This thread could get REALLY interesting tonight... If he sucks hard, this thread will blow up. If he goes 6 innings giving up no runs and big K numbers, same deal... *popping popcorn*
  7. Was just looking for the Smith thread, did it get removed?
  8. I think Made is going to be up sooner than 3 years from now... If he keeps hopping levels with success, I think we could see him in late 26, but more than likely sometime in 2027.
  9. I'm not sure Henderson is a "small" piece. I'm not comfortable trading a possible #2 rotation piece to be honest. We simply can't afford to buy pitching on the open market, so if we have guys that come up through our own system, are cheap and awesome, I don't want to trade them... I would be totally against adding Henderson in a deal for Mayo, who may not even stick at 3B.
  10. Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed Sunday that Devin Williams has been removed from the closer role for now. Boone added that Luke Weaver will “get a lot” of the save opportunities moving forward, but didn’t rule out the possibility that he could still be used in critical high-leverage spots earlier than the ninth inning. The decision to remove Williams from the role comes after he melted down on Saturday in an ugly blown save against the Blue Jays, which left him with a calamitous 11.25 ERA in his Yankees debut. He’ll operate in lower-leverage spots for now and we’re not dismissing the possibility he turns things around and reclaims the role. Source: Gary Phillips
  11. Remember when we thought we had a ton of OF depth? Now we are relying on waiver wire fodder to fill spots on the roster...
  12. We can downplay the Cubs all we want, but it is looking more and more like they are the team to beat in the Central. I don't like it, in fact I hate it, but it is what it is. We didn't address our offense in the off season, and it may be too late at the deadline...
  13. Shane Smith twirled five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts as the White Sox beat the Twins 3-0 in a rain-shortened affair Thursday. The game was delayed after the seventh concluded and never resumed. It’s yet another solid outing for Smith, and the fact that the White Sox were able to get him in the Rule 5 draft just adds to the impressiveness. The 25-year-old scattered four hits with one walk, and he generated 12 swings and misses over his 82 offerings.
  14. 3. The Brewers didn't make a mistake, and this person will argue to the death that they are correct (even though they know they are wrong).
  15. Nope, that isn't me, I'm still PO'd we didn't protect him...
  16. There is a third side: 3. The Brewers didn't make a mistake, and this person will argue to the death that they are correct (even though they know they are wrong). 🤩
  17. What's the story with these horrible Giants uniforms tonight? I swear, MLB is doing it's best to come up with the ugliest unis of all time the past couple of years. Gonna be tough to beat the Padres city connect 7th grade girls softball team jerseys though.
  18. Double dip at the movies today. Makes a great day when you can catch two movies and both were GREAT! Sinners: Thought it was an awesome and new take on a vampire movie. Long, but didn't feel that way. The Amateur: Loved this movie from start to finish! It was hard to get used to Freddie Mercury turning into a kickass killer, but I got over it.
  19. Levering is meh. BA is just a guy who makes guest appearances in the Brewers booth these days... I like Rock. I like Vinnie. Dillard doesn't irritate me nearly as much as he does to most of you. He's ok.
