  1. All this talk of the Rays getting swept by the White Sox just makes it that much more scary to play them. They are going to be looking to take that out on someone! lol After that Yankee series, I don't think we should be counting on sweeping them, it's just one game at a time...
  2. Christian Yelich (back) threw from up to 120 feet away before Monday’s game. Yelich has also resumed throwing, and the ability to throw from a relative distance is another positive encouragement. This was initially viewed as a potential short-term stint on the injured list, but right now it seems likely that Yelich won’t be back until the early-to-mid portion of May. Source: Curt Hogg
  3. I'm not a GM, or don't have a connection to the Astros GM, but there is not a chance in hell the Astros are going to go into sell mode. They will right the ship and be a factor before all is said and done.
  4. Desperation is about to set in... Time to do some wheeling and dealing I'm afraid.
  5. Problem is, at this point in time, he has no trade value. He needs an extended period at AAA to get his stock back up
  6. Why is this even an argument? Some people just have to be right I guess. Simple fact #1: Some fans feel priced out and go to fewer games because of the cost. Some have even stopped going all together because of the costs involved. Simple fact #2: Some fans don't mind the higher prices and will continue going to games. Some even feel the higher costs are justified.
  7. I don't disagree with this, but we can't afford to have Chourio AND Wiemer in the same boat. I agree, keep Chourio on his learning curve, butt Wiemer just has to go. We just can't have them both in the line-up on a daily or even semi daily basis.
  8. Then let's get shuffling. We can't afford to punt any more games because we aren't willing to mess with the 40 man. In this division, every game is going to count come September. Wiemer just has to go back down, just has to. Not sure what to do with Chourio at this point. I do not believe he should be here either, I mean all of this horribleness isn't good for him. We desperately need Yelich back. Weren't they experimenting with Tyler Black in the OF?
  9. Until he isn't, Bauer is a possible replacement, just like Grienke, etc..
  10. Yes, they used to be Sunday games, and NO, they were not more expensive. That has never been the case until this season.
  11. They shouldn't have anything to do with the cost increase in specific games, but it appears they do make the prices go up in the new era of fluctuating ticket prices. Bobbles used to be promotions to get butts in seats. Now it appears they jack the prices up when they give away bobbles as promotions.
  12. Call it what you want... I went to two BOBBLEHEAD games last year, sat in section 215 and 217 and paid $50 per seat. This season, one year later, those same seats are $82 for the games I wanted to go to. That is just too big of an increase from one season to the next. Someone above mentioned that the bobbles would be worth $30+. A few years ago they had value, but Brewers bobblehead after market prices have taken a dive the past couple of years. You can get most for $10 or less these days. That is what I'll be doing, why pay $82 to get a bobble when in a month, I can get it for $10? This year's Frelick will be $10 in a couple weeks after release, and the Uecker probably in the $20 range. Again, I don't really care what the Brewers prices are in comparison to other teams. Brewers games are my reality, and to me, the cost is prohibiting me from attending games like I used to.
  13. Grienke is toast.
  14. If he's a free agent in 2028, odds are, the last in a Brewers uniform will be 2026, as I'd think we'd be trading him for the 2027 season rather than get nothing in return when he walks. So that means we only really have him for 2 years after this one. That saddens me, but also reminds me to enjoy him while we can!
  15. I'm to the point of not liking to see Frelick, Bauers, Dunn, and Wiemer in the line-up at all. How close are we to letting Tyler Black show what he has? Kid does nothing but hit at every level, when is it time? I'm ready!
  16. I can't be the only one losing faith in Wiemer? I am starting to think that our original 3 can't miss outfielders are all 3 going to miss after all. Wiemer is lost, completely lost. I think having him play most of the season last year with the crew when he obviously wasn't ready was probably pretty bad for his development in the long run. Mitchell can't stay healthy. Will we ever see what he truly brings to the table? Sal seems to be nothing more than an average at best guy, what does he have to offer? Suddenly, the position we thought we were stocked at, isn't stocked after all. (at least not as of right this moment) Am I wrong, too early to judge?
  17. Lots of teams having that issue didn't come into this season with our kind of roster construction either. We knew we were susceptible to this from the get go, but were hoping to grab some luck. We have had no such luck.
  18. CC is phoning in the line-ups to Murphy.
  19. Tyler Black is ready and waiting in the wings. Still pretty disappointed that he didn't start with the big squad, but his time is coming.
  20. He isn't being hired because of his legal issues and what occurred, has nothing to do with his pitching talent. If he were a boy scout, he'd be pitching in MLB right now. Not sure what lines you are reading between, but it seems those lines are different than the rest of us.
  21. I think that is completely false, and unless you have talked to all 30 owners, that is just an opinion. IMO, the owners are flat out afraid of what signing him will do for public relations, etc. I don't believe it has anything to do with his talent whatsoever. I also have not spoken to all 30 owners, but I believe that my opinion is closer to the mark than yours.
