  1. Hey Braun, how about another grand slam against the Pirates in a pennant race?
  2. I wonder if the Brewers be in the visitor's clubhouse for this series.
  3. Interleague rotates by division, so the NL Central will face the AL East next in 2020. Pretty crazy that the Orioles came to Milwaukee again this year, the Brewers were last there in 2003, not sure how they determine home/away. I'm a little disappointed the series in Kansas City isn't before or after a series in St. Louis, I was considering making a road trip out there and knocking out both stadiums at once.
  4. Brewers at home for Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, I can't ever remember that happening.
  5. Two innings vs. the Nats yesterday and going right through the heart of the Reds order, it'd be amazing if Jeffress came back to form this last month.
  6. Why not something like tennis where they have a line judge but a player can challenge and the result is immediate based on the technology? Have the umps call balls and strikes, but if a batter disagrees they must immediately challenge and the computer immediately makes a call. It would only take 5-10 seconds. Allow each team a certain number of unsuccessful challenges a game.
  7. They're full-time coaches. Gantner isn't. Once again, is there any proof the Brewers aren't giving out the number? Have players requested 17 and been told no? Brewers went 25 years between issuing #35 to a player (before being issued to Shane Peterson and now Brent Suter). I can't imagine that was because it was worn by the iconic Mike Capel and Narsico Elvira in 1990. Yes, Hader, who had to take 71 instead.
  8. I remember pre-Brewerfan that everyone on the ESPN Brewer forum was hoping we'd hire Baylor as manager in 1999 and were disappointed when we ended up with Lopes.
  9. I know he was an All-Star, but Knebel has just looked terrible the past couple of weeks.
  10. MLB.TV for the rest of the season is $10 tonight only until the end of the last game.
  11. Let's see if the Brewers can make all three outs at home this inning.
  12. Thames was just shown at the NXT Takeover show in Chicago.
  13. That would mean the Brewers wouldn't have an off day between May 22nd and June 26th. I know there's a rule in the CBA that teams are required to have at least one day off every 21 days, not sure if there are exceptions for make up games.
  14. It would only be blacked out on MLB Network if it was being televised locally. MLB Network feed has the local home radio feed for audio, so we get Uecker, very awesome.
  15. Yes. Those people deserve a nice punch in the throat. Even worse are the people who don't pay attention and then ask what the previous bids were and then bid a dollar over. Why they continue to do that baffles me. Giving people a card to write down their bid would be a far better solution than this and yes I know there's a small chance that two people could bid the same thing. The last person bidding always has the advantage barring a perfect bid. It especially sucks for the last contestant up on the stage and then they have to bid first leaving them the possibility of being bid a dollar over and completely ruining their (likely) already sucky experience of only getting one chance to bid and likely losing. You can hate the rules for being unfair, but I have no issue with anyone ever biding a dollar over another person. Why hate someone for using solid strategy? The last bidder has exactly four good bids, $1 over one of the other three players or $1 if you think everyone overbid. Biding anything else is stupid and just lessening your chances for winning. If I were ever on the show I'd be betting $1 over someone else every single time. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, I'm doing everything I can to get up on stage.
  16. If we go to 32 teams, I'd rather do two divisions of eight in each league. Having four divisions of four means you either have to eliminate the wild card, which MLB won't do, or go to an eight team playoff, as bye series don't really work in baseball, that's too long for a team to sit. With two divisions of eight, you have two division winners and then expand to four wild cards, with two wild card games in each league.
  17. This picture makes me both happy and sad. Five years ago the same two were doing the exact same celebration in the Brewers' clubhouse.
  18. Next year will also be the first year the Red Sox visit Milwaukee since 2003. Brewers visited Fenway in 2008, 2011 and 2014.
  19. Rugby is my new favorite summer Olympic sport. So much fun to watch.
  20. No reason not to start Broxton in CF everyday for the rest of the season.
  21. Three pages of backup catchers and my personal favorite, Charlie Greene, isn't mentioned? Dude couldn't hit a lick, but had a cannon arm. Upon Googling his name to find a picture, he's listed on the Brewers' front office page as the Minor League Field Coordinator & Catching Instructor. At least I assume that's the same guy, I had no idea he worked for the team. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/pics/charlie_greene_autograph.jpg
  22. The HBP to Simon was definitely intentional to prevent the runner from stealing home. It hit Simon in the hip and Simon was visibly upset after it, spiking his bat into the dirt. I can kind of see his point.
  23. They wore those uniforms in a couple of games in 2014 as well.
  24. This looks pretty cool, they're taking the Hall of Fame on the road with a traveling tour that's going to hit all 30 Major League cities over the next three years. What's somewhat surprising is Milwaukee is the first Major League city on the tour, July 15-31. Definitely going to try and make it one of the days, as I doubt I'll ever make it to the actual Hall of Fame.
