  1. I don't think it helps him being so tall either in that tall people never really "look" like they are running very fast and sometimes gives the illusion that there is a lack of effort. Of course not of that excuses bad routes or late jumps. The scary part is I think he looks a touch faster this year than last.
  2. Also, Harang might be the right "speed" for Ishikawa. He seems to be struggling against the hard stuff so far this year.
  3. Either that or he caught the flu bug going around the Brewers clubhouse... http://m.jsonline.com/more/sports/blogs/brewers/148093815.htm
  4. C). He took a really bad route to that ball. Should've been caught
  5. I'm there with you also fellas. He's my favorite Brewer to watch. Well, most of the time
  6. Dbacks placed Chris Young and Geoff Blum on the 15 day DL today. Young has a torn ligament in his right shoulder. Ouch
  7. Yeah a good head first hook slide to the inside part of the plate would've made it a lot less close.
  8. Agree to disagree I guess. I'm just as confident he was tagged, but either way I'll take it!
  9. You guys must be getting different angles. They showed one angle 2 or 3 times from the 3rd base side looking into home plate where you see Ellis drop the mit on nyjers butt very, very clearly.
  10. He tagged him on the butt right before Nyjers leg crossed the plate.
  11. I sure hope its the former, because he sure is exciting. No Brewer do I root harder for
  12. That makes 2 of us. Gameday had that last pitch 92.4 mph...hardest I recall seeing him throw as a Brewer
  13. That too. Greinke getting zero breaks in his last two starts. Hopefully his luck turns around quickly here
  14. I disagree. Gamel has always been fast. Just so happens he plays 1st base now. A good example of his speed was last night when he scored the winning run. It took good speed and a great slide to score on that play. There were less than 2 outs so he has to hesitate momentarily to make sure Ethier wasn't going to get to that ball because he got a great jump on it and was really closing ground on the ball. And then Ethier got to it right away and played it perfectly, made a quick, strong throw to Ellis, who in turn made a strong, accurate throw home. Not a lot of guys score on that play. Mat did.
  15. I think he's quite capable behind the dish. It's just his arm that's horrible.
  16. I like his voice quite a bit. I agree its got an "old school" feel to it and to me sounds a little bit like Gary Thorne. But, his call/decription of the suicide squeeze tonight was awful.
