  1. 16 players in the org. have an OPS North of .900 (.950 actually) headed into this week's games. Early Season .900 Club
  2. I was digging through the org this morning. My main thought; throw more strikes boys, if you can. Walk rates are way too high. My second thought; it’s early. If you dig, there are some really nice performances, even on the mound.
  3. Get the Wilson boys back home. Plenty of acceptable K:BB. Play Luis Corobo and Luis Lameda more. They’ve both looked more comfortable in the box, especially in the swing decision department. Ebel’s timing is out of whack to my eye.
  4. Josiah Ragsdale took a walk against a sidearm lefty, stole second uncontested due to wild pitch, stole 3rd on a throw, and took home on a wild pitch. No hits yet this year but he already has 6 steals.
  5. Love it. Swing at the first meatball you see. Even better if you rip it 100 MPH. Nice work, Luke Adams. Luis Lara had singled on a ground ball up the middle.
  6. Sweet. 1st pro hit for Daniel Dickinson is an infield dribbler.
  7. There we go. Luis Lameda walked, stole second, and scored on Jose Anderson's crushed double. Anderson saved the run with a heady slide after a nice throw from LF. Clutch by Anderson. Ortuno had been rung up on a borderline pitch and Handelfry Encarnacion had a poor at bat which ended in two check swings at out of zone nonsense for a K.
  8. Brock Wilken took a hack at a meatball when given the chance. First pitch too. Got under it.
  9. I see Juan Ortuno was chosen as the starting SS in Brady Ebel's absence.
  10. The Wilson Average Joes (errr Warbirds) offense loaded the bases on b2b2b walks. Then Pedro Ibarguen (127 wRC+ and .408 OBP in 45 games last season) ripped a pretty solid ground ball in the left-side hole. The third baseman made a nice play to start the double play. Inning over. I have high hopes that everyone will look a little more comfortable when they get back home to Wilson.
  11. Jett Williams will get it going. Missed time in Spring with injury. He's playing all over the diamond. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if he is up before the All-Star break even if the surface stats lack sparkle Greg Jones is taking quite the beating Nothing alarming in the Statcast data for Luke Adams besides the fact he still doesn't swing enough. When he swings, good things happen Luis Lara is doing everything the Brewers value in the bedrock of a player
  12. Travis Smith (Rd 15, 2024 Kentucky, $462.5k Bonus) perpetually flying under the radar.
  13. O’Rae and Made are deadly. Double-triple for Made tonight.
  14. I'd like to see Carlos Rodriguez get more East-West, a la Grant Anderson. Morph the slider into a true sweeper. Explore lower slots seeking more 4-Seam ride. Anything to add some funk. His kitchen sink arsenal is having trouble getting big league hitters out.
  15. It's Carra in for Healy. Healy went two scoreless. I just turned on the game, so I didn't see any of his stuff.
  16. As someone who has followed this system for decades now, these lineups are just incredible.
  17. Carlos Rodriguez (touched 94.9 MPH in 1st Start) leads an interesting trio of announced starters. Spin-artist Jaron DeBerry is up. Plus, the long-awaited return of Yorman Galindez.
  18. Wilson starter for today is still TBD. Could this be when we finally see Andrew Healy (9th Rd, 2025, Duke) or Carlos Carra (IFA, 2024, Mexico)? Healy has yet to throw a professional pitch. Carra has carved up (too strong?) the DSL, CPX, and Single-A over his 74 professional innings pitched. More ground balls would serve you well, Carlos. Small guy, 5'11", this will be his age-19 season.
  19. Another UDFA, Tanner Perry (Age 22, RHP, Illinois St.) is in to finish things for Wilson. And another mini rally in the 8th for Wilson's offense Ebel Walks Encarnacion Walks Anderson Single Perry gets it done. 9-4 Wilson victory
