  1. Beltran had 435 HRs and a career OPS of .837; for a CF, that's really good. Career bWAR of 70. Yes, there's some longevity involved, but he was a 2.2 bWAR player and had an .850 OPS as a 39-year-old. He wasn't just hanging on in mediocrity.
  2. His brother entered the portal today.
  3. Do you by chance live in or near a major metropolitan area? If so, I highly recommend OneMedical, which is affiliated with Amazon. Loved it in Chicago, the doctor was on-time, listened, and was totally chill. OneMedical is here in Denver, but for some reason only for Medicare patients.
  4. Thanks for reminding me. Anyone know when MLB.TV might offer deals? I'm not waiting until Father's Day this year.
  5. Nevermind the lockout, the Dodgers might change the whole US tax code.
  6. I was told that every team has injuries.
  7. The 2024 playoffs, when they were the #1 and #5 seeds and both got trounced in the divisional round, suggests it's a lot closer than many think.
  8. Almost 4.000 FBS players entered the portal, plus another 2,700 FCS and over 4,000 D2/D3 players. I have no idea how any recruiting website can accurately rank and rate all of those players.
  9. So, is that on the coaching staff or is that on the AD/big-time boosters?
  10. Not after Johnson set the record for most failed 4th down conversions in playoff history. After screaming F the Packers, he got too big for his own britches.
  11. Green Bay should hold a parade in his honor.
  12. God bless Harrison Mevis!
  13. There was 2:07 left, not 2:03. Would have had to be a long pass play, and if the pass gets knocked down it's not 2:00 yet.
  14. You know very well that that's nowhere close to what I was saying. I'm saying that Indiana doesn't make the playoffs without Mendoza. See above: Rourke vs Ohio State (8-18, 63 yards, 0 TDs) compared to Mendoza vs Ohio State (15-23, 222, 1 TD, 1 INT). No Mendoza and Indiana doesn't win at Iowa (20-15), Oregon (30-20), Penn state (27-24), and Ohio State (13-10). They're still a good team, but not in the playoffs. And Cuban's $$$ didn't just bring in players, it kept them there. How many players leave Indiana after 2024 for more $$ elsewhere if Cuban doesn't step in?
  15. Bucks fans: "We need to shake up the team. This team isn't going to win a championship!!!" (Bucks shake up team) Bucks fans: "What a terrible GM the Bucks have!! Look at all the terrible moves he's made!!!" -Every year since 2022
  16. And they got blown out by both ranked teams they played. #14 ranked schedule in the Big Ten. Rourke vs Ohio State: 8-18, 68 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs Rourke vs Notre Dame: 20-33, 215, 2 TDs, 1 INT, most of the yards and all of the TDs coming in garbage time when Notre Dame was playing "eat the clock".
  17. It bought the #4 QB in the portal. Trade Mendoza for O'Neil and Simmons and no way is Indiana in the CFP.
  18. Ty Simpson was offered over $6M by Miami. to forego the draft. Tennessee and Ole Miss also offered at least $4M. Simpson never entered the portal, and teams are not supposed to contact players on another team until they enter the portal. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/miami-and-ole-miss-reportedly-offered-alabama-qb-ty-simpson-over-6-million-to-transfer-instead-of-declare-for-nfl-draft-014611113.html?guccounter=1
  19. I never said it was different or the same because I don't know. However, these three guys have a much better idea than any of us on this board: https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/green-bay-packers-news/78254/tuesday-cheese-curds-micah-parsons-speaks-in-support-of-matt-lafleur https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/green-bay-packers-coaching-staff/78222/aaron-rodgers-talks-matt-lafleur-hot-seat-after-playoff-loss https://packerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2026/01/11/qb-jordan-love-backs-matt-lafleur-remaining-packers-head-coach/88128201007/ I don't know what it takes to be a successful coach, but I know that one sure way to be a failure is to lose the locker room.
  20. How do you know that what he says publicly to the media is the same thing that he says privately in team meetings?
  21. A head coach who presided over a deliberate attempt to injure other players was traded for a 1st and a 3rd round pick. In 15 years he only led a team to one Super Bowl.
  22. I would think that if MLF got fired, somebody would hire him fairly quickly. I don't know who has openings, but I would think one of the Raiders, Jets, Giants, Browns, Titans, Cardinals, etc., would be happy to have his success after years of franchise futility. Given that, I'd hope that a trade of MLF to one of those franchises for a 2nd round pick would be an option. Particularly whoever signs Malik Willis. Same with Gutey if they want him too. I wouldn't fire them simply because I think they have some type of trade value.
  23. I assume you need to have B1G+ to watch the hockey games. Maybe 3-4 will be on BTN. Are the games listed on Peacock also on B1G+? Are all of the basketball games on B1G+, or just select ones?
  24. If the Falcons dangle a 1st round pick, I'd hope that Gutey jumps on that. Even a 2nd round pick I'd be on board with.
  25. It was over when Parsons and Wyatt went on IR.
