  1. I like Krys Barnes - over his last two years he had four INTs and 13 PBUs. Could be a good cover LB. Patrick Taylor Jr. is listed at 6'3, 227, and was injured his senior year but combined for almost 2000 yards rushing, 36 receptions, and 32 TDs over his sophomore and junior year. Would have been better for him to come out after his junior year. Could be Jamal Williams replacement, or possibly asked to put on 10-15 lbs and move to FB/H-Back. Galeai has some upside - will need to put on some weight, but has some explosiveness. I think he has more upside than Roberts or Ramsey. Will need to spend a year or two on the PS. Some interesting guys still out there - Mike Panasuik was considered a great run-stuffing DL, Josh Avery has NFL size and physicial traits, Oluwe Betiku went undrafted, plus some other WRs (Isaiah Wright, Josh Pearson, JJ Koskie).
  2. The blue was about Rodgers being gone in 2-3 years
  3. [sarcasm]Takes WRs 2-3 years to get on the same page as Rodgers, but Rodgers will be gone so it would be a wasted pick[/sarcasm]
  4. With three interior OL taken in the 6th round, I think that means that Lane Taylor is not long for the roster so that they can use his cap space to sign another FA or towards extending Bakh or Clark. And with drafting Hanson and with Patrick signed through next season, I think that signals moving on from Linsley. I doubt they cut him now, as they can probably get a 4th round comp pick for him if he moves on as a free agent.
  5. Here we are getting close to the Packers 5th round pick, and Donovan Peoples-Jones, Tyler Johnson, Quez Watkins, Quintez Cephus, and Isaiah Hodgins all still available and all WRs that I think can be good enough to be WR 2/3.
  6. Where did you see that? Last year it was Brett Kern (1st team) and Tress Way (2nd team). In 2018 it was Dickson and Hekker. I do know that in 2018, Scott led the league in hang time and fewest % of punts returned.
  7. If there has been anything that I have learned watching the Badgers the last 25 years, it's that when you run the ball effectively you get three major benefits: 1) you frequently get 3rd and short (<5 yards), which is a lot easier to convert than 3rd and long; 2) you keep your defense off the field and well rested (and it's hard for the other team to score if their offense isn't on the field); and 3) the combination of those two things usually leads to close games that are winnable. Give me Rodgers in a close game in the 4th quarter - he's won a heckuva lot of those, and there's a reason he's earned the nickname "The Boogeyman". And I have no doubt that a major part of the success of Wisconsin recently has been because their defense is well-rested. Lastly, if teams are shifting to 225lb speedy LBs, a 250lb running back suddenly becomes a big advantage.
  8. They said that Nick Collins would have been available later in the draft. After the Packers drafted him, the GM of the Ravens called TT to congratulate him because they were going to draft him two picks later. The Ravens ended up with Dan Cody, who played a total of two games in his career. I think Baltimore regrets not giving up their 5th round pick that year (Justin Green, a FB with five career carries and zero career TDs) to move ahead of the Packers. Nobody had Josh Sitton on their board at all - he wasn't invited to the combine. In 2009 the Packers drafted a LB with 5.5 career sacks in college with a first round pick - remember that reaction? I don't think anybody had Elgton Jenkins on their board either. You never know what team's draft boards are, or how they are going to turn out.
  9. Did they rehire Mike Sherman?
  10. MLF likes to run the ball. If he's another Eddie Lacy, it's not a bad pick at all. I think what this means is that Bakh and Clark will be resigned come hell or high water and they are letting the others (Jones, King, Linsley, etc.) walk. So expect a CB or center to be drafted next.
  11. Yeah, in it's current format, if you're a fan of a team that is drafting at the end of the round, do you even watch it? Especially if you are on the east coast - is your team even going to draft or trade out? When it started at 12 Eastern on Saturdays, you could wait two hours then start watching. Or make it a day drinking event. Can't do that on a Thursday night.
  12. John Elway too.
  13. As reinforced by the children of the team's general managers last night, people jump at the opportunity to be on television in any way. To give the impression that they could be on TV if they engage with the platforms increases engagement with the platforms.
  14. Yep, and even if Rodgers plays at a high level for 5-6 more years and there is no need for Love, if Love develops behind Rodgers they will be able to trade him for at least the #30 overall and a 4th, if not more.
  15. I believe the impetus for trading up was that Seattle was actively looking to trade down. Gutes was on the phone with Seattle to get their pick and said, "Hold on, we just got a better deal". This, to me, implies that there was competition for Seattle's pick which forced GB to up the ante for it, which was more than GB's 4th round pick.
  16. It sounded like Seattle was actively looking to trade down, so if they stood pat someone could have moved up to Seattle's spot.
  17. Quite a few. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?p=1296678#p1296678 yeah, but does that guy know what he's talking about He can't get a first round pick right to save his ass, but sure can nail the 5th round through UDFAs.
  18. Reminds me of how lots of people wanted Chad Jackson, but the Packers traded down and ended up with Greg Jennings.
  19. Quite a few. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?p=1296678#p1296678
  20. These clips of the players can't be live, because I haven't seen any of them look excited after the pick.
  21. One mock I saw had San Francisco taking Jefferson at #13 and then Jonathan Taylor at #31, giving them Samuel, Jefferson, Kittle, and Taylor. That could become quite an offense.
  22. I don't think that the delta between Jefferson and the next best 5-6 WRs is worth the cost of trading up 7-8 spots in the first round even if Jefferson is there. 55 wide receivers were invited to the NFL combine. There will be good WRs available on day 2. Trade up in round 2 to get ahead of the Seagulls and Viqueens, yes.
  23. Made a couple of changes to my late round picks. Put Charlie Taumoepeau in and took Nigel Kilby out. Going back and forth between ILB in round 3/DL in round 4 and DL in round 3/ILB in round 4. There is part of me that thinks they go DL earlier than I have them, but that's why I have DL as my "Don't be surprised" picks in the 2nd and 3rd round.
  24. I don't see how placing an on-line order and having it delivered to your car is less risk. Who is gathering your order? For how many other people are they also gathering orders for? How much time a day are they spending in the grocery store? Aren't they exposing themselves to more people than if you got your own groceries? If you go when it's not busy, wear a mask and gloves, don't come near anyone, and wash your hands when you get home, I think it would be less risk than having someone else who is in the grocery store all day long getting your groceries.
  25. It also sounds like the packing industry was pressuring workers, especially immigrants, to come into work even if they were sick. I also wonder if it's being spread through animals with the way that packing plants (North Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin) are getting hit.
