Weeks has to be sub .200/.300 ob since the break. Small sample but it's not like he's just hitting into poor luck either. He's fouling off/swinging thru more good pitches to hit than anyone besides Casey. Definitely would like to see him leadoff again and see if that wakes him up (not to mention I don't think he's a middle of the order guy...poor situational hitter).
FSNWI showed this last night during the broadcast...but it needs to be reposted. Witnessing a 491 foot homerun must be epic. Young has the same reaction that I did when he butchered Yuni's inside-the -parker at Miller Park a few weeks back. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/663567/ThomeYoung.gif.opt_medium.gif
Karstens comes from the BABIP gods. His current BABIP is .235 and that contributes to his current strand rate of 88.7%. Its why his ERA is 2.34 while his FIP is 4.48 and his tERA is 4.77. He's also given up 17 homeruns this year....all solo shots. Unreal. He is the Anti-Greinke.
I think he got him on the back leg that was curled with his other leg extended over the plate. Looked out in a lot of replays bc you can't see his curled leg. Ump was in a good position to make the call.
Braun didn't look right from his first at bat on Thursday. I agree with you BCin2004. Most likely another large blunder by the FO. Lately, I find myself saying that too often.
