  1. Not the first time it has happened. I believe in a past interview Creed said he only used the ladies room. I liked that Micheal "tripled up" with Gabe, Meredith and Creed. I was discussing the episode with a friend and I thought there were some important people they left out. David Wallace, the security guard (can't remember his name), Tod Packer, Kathy Bates character and Jan. Maybe these will be in deleted scenes but these are some important people to the series that Michael should have said goodbye to. David Wallace, Todd Packer, and Jan all were given proper send-offs imo. I think it was last yr where Wallace was a wreck and basically living off his wife. Michael finally saw Packer for his true colors and sent him to a non-existent job in Florida (lol, so absurd) after he's offended by what he said about Holly. And then there was the episode where Michael confronts all of his ex-gf's and they pretty much wrote Jan out of the show for good then.
  2. Wasn't able to watch the game...how was Marcum's velocity?
  3. http://www.tvline.com/201...is-erin-mother-daughter/ I read it on the other message board I frequent. A lot of ppl think Gabe is the Scranton Strangler too.
  4. Another week, another very solid P&R. They underused Ron a bit, but the April/Andy/Ben interactions made up for it. Adam Scott has been an excellent addition to the cast. Like Jason Bateman from AD, he just makes everyone around him way funnier. Excellent straight man (can't put him on Bateman's level though). 30 Rock doesn't have it's own thread so I'll just comment here...excellent rebound season. Another good one last night. Also, Condi Rice cannot act. At all. I haven't watched Community yet, but I've been kind of disappointed in the second half of this season. Chang was a million times better as a prick professor. Now he's just completely annoying, not funny, and ruining the show for me (along with Shirley).
  5. Yep, stupid...and I thought this was a nice bounce back season as I consider season 6 a complete disaster. So I'm supposed to believe an attention whoring person like Michael isn't gonna tell any of his employees he's actually leaving a day early? I dunno, something about just seemed very abrupt and I don't like the send off they gave him. The D'Angelo character is absolutely terrible. I know it's become hip to hate on anything Ferrell has touched the last five years, but there's no way this is his fault. He's been fine. It's the writing for the character that has been just awful. Still some good bits though. Gabe killed it. Toby and his brother were funny. The Pam and Michael airport scene was touching (you could argue Michael probably bonded more with Pam than anyone else. Dwight included.) I'm done with the show after this year but there's a couple questions I hope they answer...is Phyllis Erin's mom? Are they gonna go more in depth with the Scranton Strangler? They've def been hinting at both being major plot points.
  6. The big fallacy of Weeks' career was that he was rushed to the majors. He wasn't. I could see looking at his numbers from 05 and thinking that but the thumb injury was what actually killed his numbers that year. Idiotic decision by the FO, but did they force him to play thru it? I'd guess Weeks pleaded to play. Still, that's no excuse. I do think he has become somewhat overrated by a lot of Brewer fans....and that's kind of funny because he was completely underrated from 07-08. He still does strike out too much. If he could play a full season and strike out 150 times instead of 180, you'd probably be looking at a elite player instead of a well above avg one (and I don't think anyone argues he's not above avg). He's streaky as all hell. At the end of the year I guess it doesn't matter how you get your numbers, but it does indeed suck to have a blackhole at the top of the lineup when he goes thru one of his epic two/three week slumps. I'll admit I actually gave up on Weeks last year in May, which was stupid because I was a ardent supporter of him up until then. He was OPSing below 700 and I figured he wasn't worth keeping around long term. Never thought he was a "bust" though. Glad he proved me wrong.
  7. i love gomez, and i'll love him even more when hart comes back and he's batting 7th or 8th where he belongs.
  8. Well played, Mauer. Another strong episode last night....Ron in the health food store was gold.
  9. Ahhh, should of gave Gomez the take sign on 2-0. Good at bat for him either way. Damn, Valdez catches that but not Braun's. Probably not our day.
  10. Holy crap Kendrick is terrible. All 3 pitches we flew out on were huge mistake pitches.
  11. Lee's location is wayyy off. Looks like a worse version of Narveson right now. Nice ab Weeks!
  12. Ed has been a human windmill all year and then he puts the stop sign on that?!? Ugh. Horrible base running that inning by the Brewers.
  13. Weeks has been garbage at the plate. Once Morgan's healthy, I'd bat him leadoff against RHP.
  14. I'll love Gomez once he's hitting 7th or 8th and playing only against lefties. The main problems I have with him are all pretty much Roenicke's doing.
  15. Yep. He's had nearly 500 pa and the signs point to him being aaaa. Watching a brandon wood ab is torture. I don't think I've ever seen a player more overmatched. Alex Gordon = Rickie Weeks. Both were labeled as busts because they didn't rake from day 1 but in reality both are avg players.
  16. Betancourt has hit a ton of linedrives right at people. His bat SHOULD be an upgrade over what we had to put up with last yr at SS (Esco had .288/.326 line last year).
  17. Braun doesn't swing at balls, Roy. Wow. I've always been of the belief that Fielder's bat>Braun's bat, but I might have to change my tune. Braun has been great from day 1 this year.
  18. Why not Counsell there? RR continues to make puzzling decisions over and over.
  19. Roenicke should really give Weeks the day off tomorrow. He's hit like 2 balls hard since the Braves series.
  20. Milwaukee, like almost all other cities, is a fair weather city. If the Bucks could get a new arena and ownership they'd be fine. Unfortunately, that's probably not gonna happen.
  21. lol thanks for posting. One of the oddest clips I've ever seen....it's almost like everyone's been drugged. Verlander seems completely outta it, Braden is in a trance in the dugout just staring on. Judging by his reaction, the only one who seems with it is Martinez.
