  1. Also, props to guy who was insistent on saying we had enough for Greinke (think it was endaround or ennder). Just needed to add a few big league players. Spot on.
  2. Grunching..... I found out about this early in the morning, but wasn't near a comp so I wasn't able to post on it. Phenomenal deal for us. I think Esco is more Ronny Cedeno than Reyes, so they can have him.
  3. That is ridiculous. I'd hang it up before succumbing to that thing.
  4. Also, the Bucks should trade Maggette (who clearly doesn't fit in) for Turkoglu. Turk has a bad contract, but his game is pretty similar to Delfino's and he can hit a 3. Maggette can go hog the ball in Phoenix and not worry about having to play D.
  5. Unfortunately, I don't think Delfino is gonna come back. Has there ever been another player that has had to wear a helmet? I don't think so. It sucks because the guy is a great glue guy who can actually hit a 3.
  6. "Nothing shows ignorance of basketball more than not liking Tim Jarmusz. He's not much of a scorer, but he does everything else on the court well. Of course, most folks don't get the fact that good defense is far more fun to watch than a 110-98 game." - Al's Ramblings This made me lol when I read it. Dirk was 7-10 against Gooden last night. Drew defended him well on a couple tough shots Dirk still made because he's unreal, but overall Ersan defended him much better. And as twri pointed out, Ersan was instrumental in the comeback last night and played down the stretch, while Gooden did not. He also committed a terrible clear path foul that resulted in a 4 pt possession.
  7. Yeah, I'm pretty much the other way around. The only reason I kept watching this season is to see Michael's departure. If it was just scheduled to go on with the same cast, I would have gave it up. I've been pleasantly surprised by the show this season, but admittedly it's still light yrs away from what it used to be. I really like what BJ Novak has done to the Ryan character. He's become an insufferable hipster, and has played it very well. I also think the show has always raised questions. It hasn't been realistic from season 2 on. Erin is an idiot but so is Michael, Creed, Kevin, Meredith, etc. The only people that are somewhat sane are Oscar, Stanley, and Phyllis. Everyone else would have been fired long ago. Also, if you think about it, shouldn't Nashua not even be open anymore? I thought Scranton was the only Dunder branch kept open when Sabre bought them out.
  8. NBC is doing all comedies from 7 - 10 cdt. Community Perfect Couples- ft Olivia Munn and the waitress from IASIP. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The Office Parks and Rec 30 Rock Outsourced They're giving Outsourced the worst spot and Parks and Rec the best spot, which makes me smile.
  9. First six episodes have been released to the critics. Alan Sepinwall said it's the best six epi run the show has seen. http://www.hitfix.com/blo...rly-thoughts-on-season-3
  10. Bump for an excellent Xmas episode. Whole season has been solid.
  11. looks like quite a bit more snow then I've got here in oshkosh. I hope we catch up.
  12. what city are you in, TLB?
  13. If you're serious about making an all out run for it, I think you tell the Royals pick 4 of anyone outside Braun, Yo, Weeks, Hart, Fielder, McG, Marcum.....players they wouldn't have interest in anyways. If they don't do that, move on to Shields or Garza.
  14. I would keep him in the leadoff spot. He's most likely gonna hit a low avg (but have a good obp) so I think he'd drive people mad when he has a runner on 3rd with less than two outs and strikes out. I'm not sure how I feel on extending Weeks. You'd have been hard pressed to find a bigger Weeks supporter than me from 03-09, but I just don't trust him to stay healthy. He basically had the same year he always did but just had a ton of plate appearances to make his counting stats go up. I'll root like hell for him whatever happens to him. He's a class act and one of the hardest working players in the league. At the end of the day though, I think taking the arby picks would be the wisest path to take. Valpocrewsader appears in game threads particularly when Weeks makes an error or strikes out in a key spot. Nothing to see here. I knew he hated the guy, but I never thought he hated him as much to replace him with Hudson. Ouch.
  15. He has control issues but opposing hitters simply cannot hit him hard.
  16. Trade McG to TB for one of their more expensive starters. I've always really liked Pavano, but I don't want FA pitchers on multi year deals. Wouldn't mind Webb on an incentive laden deal, but that's about it FA wise.
  17. I like Marcum's results. Hate his mechanics. This is Anthony Reyes-esque. http://www.chrisoleary.com/projects/baseball/pitching/Images/Pitchers/ShaunMarcum/ShaunMarcum_2006_001.jpg
  18. If we win in the 70s again he's probably gone. I think the answer is pretty simple.
  19. http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/919/150centlaughoff.gif Where's Bert?
  20. 1. Owns "plus" fastball velocity? 2. Can throw a quality breaking pitch? 3. Has "solid arm action and delivery"? 4. Is 6-foot-2 or taller?
  21. Lodiness is right on. Carfax is basically a scam. Hell of a marketing campaign though. Autocheck is much more reliable. For reference, my car has been in a moderate accident. I have a scratch of about 6 inches on my back bumper to show for it. My mom bought a brand new Civic Hybrid a few yrs ago, absolutely smoked a deer right by her house, and didn't have to call the cops. $8000 in damage. Clean carfax. Don't ever think you're in the clear if you have a "clean" carfax. For the most part, they're completely unreliable.
  22. Ask the dealer where it was bought from. It was probably a repo, but if it's a reputable dealer, who cares? I've bought hundreds of repos the last few years. The carfax wouldn't scare me at all. As long as it qualifies for buyback protection and doesn't have previous airbags deployed or frame damage, that's acceptable. It's a good negotiating tool for you as well. Do you have a place you can bring it to in your hometown? If so, ask the dealer if you can have your guy check it out. If he says no, pass. If he does and your guy says it's cool, I'd pursue it. This is a dealbreaker.
