I saw on BBTN it said he's yet to give up a hit on his curveball. That thing has a much more sharp break than in years past. Good for him. The Giants are one of my favorite teams besides the Brewers, and I've always been a Zito fan.

I've been pleasantly surprised by Gomez' offense this year. Would I rather see edmonds bat second? Sure. But I'm not gonna get too worked up over it.

And he's 20. Odds are the player is pretty special anytime someone starts in the big leagues at that age and doesn't totally suck.

Singler is going back to school, rwa12. I would have liked him as a second round pick as well. Some blue chip prospect is bound to drop to that 7 to 10 range. If it's Greg Monroe from Gtown, or especially Wes Johnson from Syracuse, I'm trying really hard to trade up. Take back a bad contract by sending out Gadz or Redd if need be. If we have to throw in a lottery protected first next year too, that's fine. I really want Johnson on this team. -

Corey Hart had a really poor at bat there. I know that is a master of the obvious statement, but wow, that fastball was neck high on a dude that's 6'6". The pitcher made a sick pitch on Gerut on 2-1. Tip your cap, I guess.

Why are Corey Hart and Jody Gerut hitting behind Zaun? I know it's not a huge deal, but both are better hitters.
