  1. Dempster is tiiiicked off about those first two pitches. Tight zone today.
  2. Boy, that was a lot of words to not say much of anything. That 2-2 pitch to Corey H.. I mean Casey McGehee was right down the middle, and was called a ball.
  3. He hit the crap outta that homerun. I know it's kind of a scout cliche, but it's true that the ball really does sound different off his bat.
  4. He misjudges multiple balls like that every year. What a clown.
  5. I think it was Xellence who told us about the story about Matt's big-time attitude problem, snubbing some team auto signing in the minors. That always stuck with me, and since, I've hoped the guy busts. Between that, his horrendous "road to the majors" blog (least insightful blog I've ever read), and CC's reign of domination here, I think we made out pretty good by getting rid of the guy. I wish Brantley all the best though.
  6. It's either a slow, methodical turn for Rickie, or a wild throw to first, as we witnessed many times before Randolph came on board.
  7. Cook's sinker is so tough. I was bummed to see we had to face him today. He never seems to leave it up against us.
  8. Yeah, it was about as an easy of that type of play you're gonna get.
  9. Yeah, he definitely has a weird throwing motion. Nice toss though. Good quick tag too.
  10. I got another one that's bugging me, gyp. The new State Farm commercials that have dominated my tv the past month or so. Who is this guy, and why should I find it endearing that he's long winded and constantly talks over people? Seriously, that's like 2 of the biggest turnoffs I find in people.
  11. I think Weeks is fine in the leadoff role. He'd drive a lot of people crazy in an "rbi spot" in the order because of how much he strikes out. And as we saw yesterday, he just gets on base. (3 times yesterday without squaring one pitch up) Gomez obviously had a great day at the plate yesterday. I don't wanna be debbie downer here, but I think the real question is when are Gomez and Escobar gonna switch spots in the order. I just think Escobar is a much more polished hitter than Gomez right now.
  12. Wow, Prince usually really struggles with that pick. Nice one big fella.
  13. I know the pitching spot is due up, but this is probably gonna be too many pitches for opening day.
  14. I agree with you chad. I think escobar will be in there by May.
  15. Bogues missed a wide open bunny that would have made a huge difference in the game. I love the guy, but finishing in traffic is the biggest leak in his game. You have to dunk it there.
  16. I just got done watching all the sitcoms from Thursday since I was outta town when they aired, and I thought this episode was excellent. I hate when Michael pushes the envelope in the workplace. He'd be fired for almost every stupid thing he's done the last few seasons. Since "Date Mike" was outta of the office, and into a scenario where many people act like complete fools, it worked for me. I hate Kevin though. Every second he's on the screen is time that should be given to characters that are actually funny. The writing seemed a lot more clever than the previous 5 or so episodes, so I went back and looked at the credits and BJ Novak was the writer. That explains that. 30 Rock has gotten stale (the last few episodes have been getting better though). There's still the funny one-liners, but I think this was a show that was really meant to go only about 2 seasons. There has been no character development outside of Tracy. They still kill it every few episodes. The episode with James Franco was one of the best half hours of comedy I've ever seen.
  17. "What? I don't hear hippies."
