  2. Yeah Schlitz, I'm a fan of Poehler as well, but this show is pretty bad.
  3. Sub .300 OBP. Ugh. He's still hitting the ball very hard rather routinely, but he needs to take his walks if he's gonna continue to strikeout at such a high clip. If we don't see a couple of walks in the next four days, I'll be in panic mode. I too find it hilarious that the clowns on the JSOnline Blog think he's finally putting it together, like he's never had an above average offensive season for a 2B. No doubt they'd rather take a .300/.300 line from Ricke than .240/.380.
  4. I agree with you on Hall's defense this year GormanHarvey, but that underhand toss was just mind blowing. I have never seen a 3B do that. Rickie still turned it, and it should have been an out (I'm pretty sure, no TIVO for me), but with how this team has been struggling we can't be giving away an out.
  5. I couldn't even tell the first pic was her. And I don't mean that in a bad way, as she was certainly attractive last year.
  6. I looked that up last night as well, rluz. Kind of odd, as it goes against what the naked eye would have you believe from watching the first dozen games. His LD% is up to 22%, which is nice, and he's also hitting more flyballs, so hopefully he can up his HR total. But yeah, he really needs to walk every 10 at-bats or so because of how much he strikes out.
  7. I agree that Counsell should definitely be in during the 9th if we're up in a tight game. He's had only 1 misplay turning two this year, and that was Saturday when he couldn't get the ball out of his glove. The play against the Cubs was a joke. I was at the game and slightly buzzed and could see that the Cubs' baserunner was out by a half-step. Sure, it wasn't a good throw, but it shouldn't matter. Prince finally bailed him out, and the ump just blew the call.
  8. He also had that big semi-truck horn late in 2007, which was excellent. But I am really liking the THX sound effect he has.
  9. Hopefully Bill Schroeder just had a startling revelation. I think he said something like "Who says you have to save a game in the ninth when you can do it in the seventh?" Yes Bill, that's why your best relievers should be used in high leverage innings, and not just limited to the ninth.
  10. If there's any sun, Corey Hart will find it. My god, how many times has he done that in the last year? Soup has pitched a hell of a game. Let's get him a win.
  11. It almost seemed like it was like the exact pitch, swing, and landing spot as the one he hit against the Brewers 2 years ago in June during that huge comeback.
  12. After today's loss I'm starting to feel a bit uneasy for the first time of the year. We start the year hitting pretty well but can't get any decent pitching and now that the SP'ers have strung together a couple of good outings we can't hit. Really frustrating. Suppan be damned, we have to beat Nelson Figueroraarar tomorrow.
  13. What, no replies yet? I think we just like to complain about winter. Today is my ideal weather. 70 and partly sunny here in Oshkosh. Of course, I'm stuck at work til 3, but I think I'll get out golfing today.
  14. And the fact he's just not that great of a bunter. As long as he keeps hitting to all fields his average and OBP will be fine.
  15. Mets announcers were really giving Hardy heat for that ill-advised throw.
  16. 97 mph in his second start!?! That is really great to hear.
  17. 97 mph in his second start!?! That is really great to hear.
  18. 97 mph in his second start!?! That is really great to hear.
  19. The only problem with that Rydogg is if they keep their pick they're definitely losing CV, and most likely Sessions as well. And Redd isn't a lock to be ready for opening day. Their bench depth is horrible as well. Giving Malik Allen a 2 year deal was just unbelievably dumb. patrickgpe's scenario would be ideal as far as I'm concerned. I think Blair will be a good pro, and give Bogut another banger.
  20. It'll be nice to finally have a 25 man roster again. I figured something like this was about to happen after Macha didn't even have the confidence to go to Riske last night up 6. Probably doesn't bode well for Julio's future when Hoffman comes back. I figured Riske might of been DL'd then.
  21. I really agree with you on Rickie looking more confident or comfortable this year. I know they say Spring Training doesn't mean anything (especially to guys who stunk), but I was glad to see him have a big spring at the plate.
