  1. Mo isn't really playing any better in Cleveland than he did with us. He's just benefiting from getting a ton of open looks from Lebron and having guys on the team who can handle the ball. Mo's always been a very good shooter, but he's not a true PG. Cleveland, or a team like the Lakers, were a perfect fit for him.
  2. RJ is gonna prohibit the Bucks from resigning two young and improving players if he's still on the roster, whereas Gadz is either gonna ride the pine or play very few minutes. Good game for the Bucks tonight. It's good to see they're not folding after all the injuries, and it's nice to see RJ have a good game.
  3. My god is baseball getting some bad PR right now.
  4. I would argue RJ's is more killer. He's got a guy behind him (LRMAM) that's probably better than him, or will be in the near future. While Gadz deal is terrible, it's not nearly as much money and he can be okay against certain opponents.
  5. Do you have the same doubts that Pettite only took PED's to rehab from injury? Everyone seemed to accept that excuse and no one has talked about him since. But as always, A-Rod gets different treatment for the fans and media. I think him saying he started using right after agreeing to his huge contract seemed very plausible. As others have said, I just wish he, and other players for that matter, would just admit they knew what they were taking. I don't know of anyone on earth that takes "supplements" without knowing they're intended effects.
  6. His ability to get to the rim and the line reminds me of Monta Ellis. He's not as quick as Monta, but he's definitely more of a true PG. Either way, I'd like to pair him with a good combo guard that can occasionally handle the ball. James Harden would be a good fit, but we'd have to get extremely lucky to get him.
  7. Weeks and Durham produced almost identical numbers after the trade, with Weeks getting more AB's in the stretch. I agree he was a good pickup, but with his defensive limitations, and injury history(it seemed he had trouble getting through a full game last year), he's a player that only fits a very specific need.
  8. So there were over 100 names on the list and A-Rod's was the only one that was leaked to the media? I'm pretty neutral about the guy, and to me that seems pretty unfair. I agree DJ43, you can't really assume on anyone anymore. Griffey and Thomas seem to be the cleanest from that era, but who knows.
  9. Yep, this is the best for the team longterm. Bogut's deal kicks in next year, so no reason to have it linger over. As I said before, I'd like to see Bogut stay in Milwaukee this summer and really work on his game (jump shooting and conditioning). He owes it to the team. Now, if Hammond goes out and makes a big "win-now" move, I want him gone. What should be done for the rest of the year is very cut-and-dried. Play the young guys, trade RJ for expirings/picks, and hopefully get lucky in the lottery.
  10. Manny was better in the field last year, but his UZR/150 looks to be a bit of an outlier. And as you said, he's clearly a better hitter. I don't really think it's even that close. If I'm an NL team like the Dodgers, I'd rather have Manny for 1-2 years than Dunn for 3-4 years. Even though Dunn will get less money for more years, I think I'd rather not be committed to a guy when he's already suited for the AL, and is most likely gonna be more of a sieve with each passing year. The Dodgers also have a pretty balanced lineup with Loney, Ethier, Dewitt, and Furcal hitting LH/SH, so I think the advantage of Dunn's LHness isn't that huge.
  11. I have no idea why LA would spend money on Hudson when they have Dewitt who's a ten times cheaper and probably gonna be better anyways. And Manny>>>>Dunn.
  12. I thought Dwight harvesting the organs was a lot more realistic than him CAUSING A FIRE IN HIS WORKPLACE. The only thing that didn't make this episode A+ imo is how unrealistic it was, and that is what The Office has done well for years now. Michael driving his car in the lake because of a faulty GPS received a ton of hate, but at least that's been done before. Dwight having a knife in the workplace and destroying a $3500 dummy just days after starting a fire that causes the employees to ransack the office all the while keeping his job was just too out there.
  13. Yeah, this guy doesn't want to be idolized in any way. He despises the spotlight, and describes himself as being very introverted.
  14. Man, I wanted Westbrook so badly for the Bucks, and I believe that Hammond and Skiles really wanted him as well. He's a stud. And yes, any team should kill for that nucleus. As long as they keep their core and don't give out any bad contracts, they'll be a powerhouse in 3-4 years.
  15. Another poorly run company bites the dust. Hopefully U-Verse will come out to my area now.
  16. That looks incredible. I picked up The Show 08 in October when I purchased my PS3, and wasn't very impressed. Bored with it after a week or so.
  17. I think Wes Matthews has a chance to be a good pro as well, and he's almost a lock for the second round. It would be great if the Bucks drafted a Marquette player who turned into a good player. It would definitely create a little more excitement considering there are more Marquette fans than Bucks fans.
  18. The one taking the verbal beating probably wishes he would have stood up when he heard the recording of that. I use to be like that, and now I just let it loose if someone's acts like that around me. You're exactly right bullox. I can't believe people think this awesome. It would be epic if it was a scene from a movie, but holy crap, no one deserves to be treated like that.
  19. He's been on Keith Law's breakthrough team every year since 2006 as well. Maybe Weeks is a second half player like a lot of other guys, but it would be really nice to see him .378/.451 for a full year. It didn't seem like he played too much over his head in the second half last year, where as that was the case in the second half of 2007 where his numbers were astronomical.
  20. I can't remember ever hearing someone go off like this. This guy has some serious problems. Very NSFW Language.
  21. Bogut is out again?! Just shelve him for the year and have him do his offseason workouts in Milwaukee instead of Australia.
  22. Did they bid against themselves? I thought 3/24 would have been more realistic for him. Nobody wanted the guy cause he would have cost a 1st round pick and he's not good enough to justify that.
  23. Chicago is just terrible at developing their talent. And as you said Chorizo, they are selling low and buying high. Weren't Hill and Pie rumored to be the main pieces going to BAL for Roberts last year? And now they're one injury away from giving Aaron Miles 500 AB's instead of Roberts? Thank you Jim Hendry. The Yankees take all the heat for "buying" players, but I think more of their core is homegrown moreso than the Cubs.
  24. Nice avatar. Definitely the best since U2. Tom Petty was about as lifeless as you could get last year, so I think that made it seem much better as well. For a 12 minute concert, it was very entertaining.
