  1. I agree but lets be fair they lost their qb, top 2 rbs, top 2 wrs, and their all pro TE was out for a while and his backup got hurt. On defense they two great defensive lineman and have two others hurt. One of their top cbs is also hurt. I dont know a single team that could not be seriously affected. I actually think how competitive their team has been is a testament to why people said this team is set up to dominate for 4-6 years. Imagine what the Packers would look like with similar injuries. All regular things that happen all the time. You are one blown knee from going 13-3 to 9-7 or 6-10 if it happens to the wrong guy or guys. There is too much volatility in the NFL year to year. Nobody has really lived up to that "they're set up" stuff besides New England. I am sorry but what has happened to the 49ers through 4 games does not happen all the time. I dont think i have ever seen a team without their starting qb, top 2 rbs, top wr with other injuries hurting depth, all pro te for two games and his back up hurt. Literally every starting skill position player has missed multiple games or parts of multiple games. That is not regular. Not to mention down at least 3 starters on defense either out for the year or on IR.

Well we have lost our best defender, our best inside linebacker, #2 receiver, a starting offensive lineman, and now 2 games of our top receiver. I wouldn't say we've gotten off easy. I wouldnt either but it just doesnt compare. Bosa is comparable to Clark. Sherman maybe comparable to Kirksley. Thomas is a good player as well and now they have lost Ziggy as well. On offense Kittle and Adams are similar. They were missing Deebo for a while along with other wrs so similar to Lazard now. Then you add two rbs and qb and that is pretty huge.

  4. The Bears are about to drop to 3-1, but it looks like they are probably the worst team in this division. If not for some late game collapses by other bad opponents and a freak drop in the end zone, they would be 0-4. I think it is a real battle for worst team in the division. All of those team's wins have come right at the end against poor competition. When they have played good teams they havent looked like they belonged. Both the Bears and Vikings got handled by the Colts. Both the Lions and Vikings got handled by the Packers. The Lions easily have the most impressive win but that was against a Cardinals team that may not be very good. Outside of the Cardinals those three teams have beat winless Houston, winless New York Giants, and winless Atlanta. Not very impressive. The Viking's offense looks to be turning a corner but I still dont see them being able to play well from behind. That offensive line cant pass protect and their defense is not good. The Lions are terrible on defense and their offense just isnt consistent enough to make up for it. The Bears offense is really bad. Allen Robinson is good and that is about it.
  5. ‘Fatigue’ may be having an effect, but my personal observation is that it’s the people/demographics who didn’t care to take precautions in the first place that are taking less precautions. This! 100 percent this. I have family in rural Wisconsin, live in Milwaukee, and spend time in the surrounding suburbs. Compliance is all across the board. I have been numerous places were people are not trying to find a middle ground, they are essentially flaunting that they dont care.
  6. He didn't really have a huge scuffle. Bad throw and bad pick attempt kept the inning alive. Two weak swings turned into hits. Then he did give up a hard hit to maybe the best hitter in baseball. It should have been a zero run inning
  7. We are in a playoff game and tops is pitching, Nottingham is catching, taylor is playing rf, and vogelbach is dh. Didn't see that coming 4 weeks ago.
  8. Yep, there's a huge disconnect in saying 'it's safe for football' while campuses, including UW-Madison, are having major problems and are actually closing down. We all know what's really going on here.... $$$$$$$$ Exactly. I get why they are doing it. The players and parents and many of the fans are pushing hard for it. Other conferences didnt follow suit so they were either going to have to stand by their convictions or cave. They can say their is new science and i hope that is true but a the end of the day in the past week big ten schools have locked down dorms, told student orgs they cannot meet in person, cancelled spring break and have said it is safe for college football. Something seems off there
  9. I am all for them starting the season if they think it is safe but it is ironic to me that Ohio State is part of the huge push to bring football back while indefinitely banning any student organizations from meeting in person. The initial suspension of activities started on August 28th and was supposed to last two weeks but they just continued it indefinitely. So it is only safe for athletes to gather? I get they have testing but every campus I have been at athletes party just like the rest of the student body. I know a guy on a Big Ten football team right now who has been quarantined for 6 straight weeks because his roommates keep getting it. He hasnt had it yet but probably will soon. His campus is also one of the campuses pushing for football to come back
  10. There has been talks of excluding the B10 from the playoffs. I had read the earlier start was to make the playoff
  11. Sounds like that is the plan. Mid october start so teams can be eligible for the playoff. Crazy that there will likely be football and some big ten campuses are cancelling all other student activities, spring break, and locking down dorms.

  14. Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have also been terrible, while David freaking Bote looks like Carl Yastrzemski. 2020 is a weird, sucky year. I am pretty sure you mean Ian Happ not David Bote. Bote has a .732 OPS.

  17. For as non-yelich as Yelich has been he still has a higher ops than Bryant, Rizzo, Contreras, shwarber and Baez
  18. Too be fair he wasn't facing the most fearsome lineup and in his last at bat the pitch tracker said his first 6 pitches were outside the zone
  19. Lots of buzz about Chris Paul to Milwaukee (Philly is another potential). If the Bucks could trade Bledsoe and others to get Paul a starting lineup that had Paul, Middleton, Giannis, would be really dangerous.
  20. Strike 3 to Peterson was one of the worst strike three calls I have ever seen. Should have been a walk. Then the first pitch to taylor was called a strike and it wasn't close. Bieber is so good he doesn't need helped. As I type Nottingham gets bailed out then strike outs anyway
  21. Way too careless with the ball
  22. Jimmy Butler making any jump shots was also kind of maddening since he didnt do that at all this season. But you are right he seemed to own both Middleton and Pat when they guarded him. We need Giannis and Lopez to stay out of foul trouble. That will mean better technique and less reaching but it will also mean the refs not falling for every exaggerated reaction from Butler, Crowder and others
  23. Here is what I will say as a positive. This was a 1 point game with 5 minutes left with - Giannis being about as bad as he can be - Giannis and Lopez being in foul trouble. - Jimmy Butler shot better than he has all year - maybe it is a sign of things to come but probably not. - No Eric Bledsoe really hurt our defense. Hill is just not as good at defense. - Pat C seeing the court way too much. I am sure Miami has a list of things as well like Duncan Robinson not giving them much of anything.
  24. This team needs bledsoe back. I can't imagine dragic owning him the same way he dominated hill
