  1. Brewers have played played 16 of 22 games against teams above .500 and the Reds are close to .500 as well. After tonight they are done with the Twins and 11 of their next 18 are against the Tigers and pirates. 4 against the Reds and 3 against the Indians. This is the part of the schedule to make a run. The last 20 have 10 against the Cards, 3 against the Royals, 3 against the Reds and 3 against the Cubs. wha will t the Cards have left in them as they play somethibg like 30 games in 25 days to end the season? The Brewers have not played great but are currently a playoff team. The last 2/3 of the season is much easier schedule and way more games at home
  2. When has a Brewers offense performed this poorly? I know it is a shortened season but man this is brutal
  3. Bullpen has been the big highlight of this season so far. Completely agree. Especially considering knebel has struggled. I thought he was the key
  4. Williams to Phelps to hader sounds like a solid 7th to 9th inning bullpen. Add suter and others there is depth there
  5. I am not sure how I feel about lindblom but he is a really bad non strike call from giving up 1 run through 3.
  6. I agree. Obviously things can change with injury (Jimmy Nelson) or a guy regressing or never progressing (too many to list) but right now Woody feels like a perennial all-start and Houser looks like he is now a mainstay. The next group of Burnes and Lauer and Peralta hopefully sees two of three take off. The first two being the most likely in my opinion. That would leave one spot and depth to be filled by the others. Short-term Lindblom could fill a spot for a couple years two. Add that to a bullpen that will have Hader, Rasmussen, Williams, and Suter to work with and probably Burnes or Peralta. Guys will get more expensive with arbitration but Woodruff, Lauer, Burnes and Hauser are all under control until 2025 and Peralta is until 2027.
  7. The Disney World example isn't an apt analogy, as you'd be voluntarily choosing to go there. Many companies, and likely a lot of school districts, are concerned about requiring employees to choose between their own safety and losing their job, especially if those employees have a condition that makes them high risk. There's a very valid possibility that an employer could be held liable if an employee is 'forced' into a high-risk situation as a condition of employment and becomes gravely ill or dies. And yeah, homer is right about the liability issue of the property owner being responsible for what happens there. I have been told directly by people who run festivals that insurance went through the roof for covid. They still insure events that are optional because you still have liability.
  8. A couple thoughts 1. This makes a lot more sense than some people realize. When you keep games in conference the league can mandate a protocol for each team and you know the facilities and abilities of each school to adhere to the guidelines. Some of the smaller schools you play in non-conference simply dont have the same capacity. 2. This might be tipping point. I am still on the fence as to if a season will happen. The Ivy league and junior college systems are cancelling their fall sports season. Some have also pushed all winter sports to starting after January. Could be interesting to see if more basketball players declare for the draft knowing there may not be a season 3. This is a huge loss for the gophers. Instead of 4 cupcakes they might have to play Ohio State and Penn State. They only had Michigan on their schedule of the big 3
  9. If Giannis leaves Milwaukee it is because he believes he cant win a championship here. He will go to a place where he thinks he has a better shot - LA, Golden State, etc. I dont see anyway he see New York as that place
  10. 5 of the top 150 players in that class and one more 4 star. Top two are olineman. Would seem like good bets to be able to land them. Looks like the 2021 class will add another player before the end of the week.
  11. The 2020 class was really good and it looks like 2021 is going to be even better. They are ranked 12 right now (some teams don't have as many recruits) and look very likely to end up top 20. They are in on quite a few more 3 to 4 star recruits, as well as Nolan Rucci a 5 star OL whose brother is on the team.
  12. The thing with Mitchell is that people have seen the power in BP, so is not like it isnt there at all. He says he was asked to be more of a contact guy. It will be interesting to see if the Brewers can get it to play in games because all the other tools are there
  13. I am confused. Is this actually happening? Dont see it reported anywhere.
  14. What trend line are you referring to? I'm guessing it's that - on Thursday - the state had its most report cases in a single day - and the 3-day total (from Tue.-Thur) is the highest recorded. https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2020/05/29/wisconsin-coronavirus-733-new-cases-new-three-day-high-deaths/5282911002/ As someone who thinking the way we reopened was foolish I still pause a little when looking at the numbers. I have followed them this whole time and noticed that it seemed like weekends were always much lower and then the week days much higher. So I was expecting the week following a holiday weekend to have a high Tuesday to Friday. To me the best way to look would be the Sunday to Saturday just because it ses like how numbers are reported puts a lot on week days. So how does this past week as a whole compare to weeks during covid-19. If that is significantly higher than we have an issue
  15. Well I care and so do a lot of people I know. If the Bucks win a title I have no idea why there would be an asterisk. They were already the best team over the course of the entire season.
