  1. If the Brewers and the wild card teams from the west play .500 the reds will need to go 37-24 to even have a shot which seems unlikely. So they are banking on someone collapsing. That is harder for teams to do the 2nd half of the year because contending teams will play a lot of teams that have sold their good pieces - Pirates, Twins and Cubs for the Brewers.
  2. Gibson makes a lot of sense. Under control for next year at just 7 million. Allows you to either move on from Anderson or move houser to the bullpen or both.
  3. That is an incredible stat especially considering we traded a few bullpen arms during the season and guys like Bickford having success on new teams as well.
  4. I have always been confused by the negativity I had heard about the ownership but I am relatively new to the Milwaukee area.
  5. I dont follow Cubs and Reds rivalries much but what is the history between Baez and Garrett? Javy looked like a complete clown walking down the baseline but there has to be more to the story right?
  6. Up to 7 after 100 now! If the brewers play .500 ball 31-31 the Reds would have to go 38-24 to catch them. The Cards at 8 back would have to go 39-23. It is just hard for me to see either team making that run. The only benefit the Cards have is they play the Brewers 13 times before the season is over. The problem for them is that their team isnt very good.
  7. Most places have him as a late 2nd. Wieskamp the other Iowa player is more likely to be drafted in the early 2nd. Could be an interesting prospect for the bucks. Comparison for him include Duncan Robinson
  8. Durant, Dame, Taytum and Booker were pretty bad shooting. LaVine should be nowhere near the starting lineup. Going forward Dame and Jrue in the backcourt. Durant for sure. Then some combination of Taytum, Bam, Green and Khris. Booker can be the backup guard.
  9. Does degrom not qualify? No but he really should. He is not that many innings behind Burnes, Woodruff and Peralta
  10. If Lauer is one of our true top 5 starters our worst era is Houser at 3.88. The 2018 team only Chacin at 3.5 and Miley who only pitched 80 innings who hatter Eras than houser. This rotation is special
  11. Ryan's numbers are really impressive. Might be a nice haul for the Twins.
  12. Cruz and minor league pitcher Calvin Faucher for Joe Ryan and drew Strotman. Ryan and Strotman are 10 and 17 in the rays system
  13. Any updates on the start time for the parade. I read it is on thirsday
  14. What a win! Giannis proves so many people wrong who questioned if he could dominate the same way in the playoffs. Watching the press conference with him after the game was so fun. His shots toward building "super teams" won't make him a lot of friends but shows his mindset. Also, watched the game down in the District and the crowd was awesome. We were on the side by Panther arena and it was packed. The bucks did an amazing job working to create that outdoor atmosphere. It is cool to see how that has helped shape a national perception of Milwaukee Bucks fans.
  15. Funny we have been down for all but a few games and there has been zero problems around us. Sounds like I am getting lucky!!
  16. I think what people are saying is that's just the one area they show on TV. There's another area where the Bradley Center used to be that's much more chill. Yep. There are two deer districts in a lot of ways. Different experiences
  17. And then whining even more when he commits a foul defensively. Also, the arm bars he uses to create space when he has the ball are annoying. Both him and Paul use the arm bar and don't just use it to block the defender. They blatantly extend the arm bar to initiate the contact to create space
  18. The dislike for Deer District here is kind of crazy. I am almost 40 and have been down there 10 or so times. I have even brought my son a few times and it has been a great experience for him. I think out in front of the arena is a little nuts but the new spot where the Bradley Center used to be is great. Crowd skews a little older, and definitely more tame. I was there last Sunday and it was one of the best environments I could think of to watch a game. We had friends in from out of town who are about my age and they loved it too. Bathroom breaks definitely take a while if you try to go at halftime though.
  19. Respectfully, I think this is blown up a bit because he's the opponent. That's 100% part of being a fan invested in your team so I don't begrudge anyone for "hating" Booker but I really don't see anything to really earn the vitriol, he's not doing anything different than Giannis (flexing) or Khris (looking for foul calls). My personal "hate" is for MU alum Jae Crowder, I've found him frustrating to play against going back a long time, I imagine Bucks opponents have the same feeling about PJ Tucker. Have to disagree on Booker. He is constantly whining about fouls. I think Khris does this too much but Booker is on a different level. I have had non Buck fans say the same thing. I dont think it is just because we are playing them. Against the Nets Durant worked us over but I never felt like he was a whiner. I never felt Leonard was like that either. They have had video montages of Booker complaining to the refs even when in Game 4 he could have easily had 9 fouls
  20. With what Urias has done the last month - OPS .838 (and the last couple weeks have been even better) I just don't see a move for a 3rd baseman. We know other positions that are set - SS, 2b, C, corner OF. That would leave 1st and CF. I don't think we see CF with Cain and JBJ there but maybe. 1b seems by far the most likely. With the pitching staff my guess is we get one or two bullpen arms but even there we are in pretty good shape. If they can get an 8th inning guy great. Maybe there is a true lefty they could get. I doubt a rotation arm is coming. Too expensive and not a huge need. The only other random option is a backup catcher. Pina is so good defensively but his bat is just so bad right now. His OPS the last month is under .500 but he is a back up catcher so not really a position of need.
  21. The Cardinals are the only team with a lot of games left vs the Crew. The Reds have just 3 and the Cubs have 7. The Cardinals have 13 including 10 of the last 24 games. That makes it very hard for the Reds and Cubs to make up that much ground.
  22. Can't believe the worst offense in the league has scored at least 23 runs in the series & if they hold on for the sweep will take a seven game lead over the best team in the NL Central. Miracles happen every day, I guess. Very well played
