    My intent has to say he should have done one or the other...shut up or tell the whole story. There was a comment that Braun can't comment on the issue at hand... I had pointed out that he and his team have commented. If you're not going to talk about it don't, but don't tell me, my lawyers advise to to not talk about it and them put out selective comments and have your people feeding information to the press. The same "selective" comments that Braun's lawyers have made have been stated by MLB sources. Tom H had an MLB source who said the exact same thing Braun's people did. Braun hasnt said anything of substance yet. Saying it is bs and that he is innocent is it. His people have said the test results were highly unusual and that it wasnt a PED. You are right that is saying stuff. I just hate how people call the stuff coming from Braun's camp spin but take ESPN's report as complete fact. Like ESPN has never spun anything before. Why does Braun have to do either? This shouldnt have come out. It was leaked but someone else. His team wasnt ready for the public firestorm yet so they are making sure they have their ducks in a row. That is what any team would do.

    Has it been stated he is only looking for a 5-6 year deal? I was expecting a 6-8 year deal, with 6 being only if a team went really high on the yearly payout. We were never in this thing. We had much more a chance with CC than we did with Prince

    Witrado has a bruised ego from Braun not showing him love. Passan decided Braun was guilty right away and has been on the attack ever since. That is their choice as journalists but dont act like they are unbiased news people. Passan himself is spinning stuff that Braun's team is saying. I am biased because I want Braun to be innocent, and I wont deny that. But Witrado and Passan are people who act like they are looking for truth but have made up their mind what the truth is before all the facts are out. I do love the comments like I wont delude myself into believing Braun which makes it seem like anyone who actually believes him is blind to the truth. There are good sportswriters out there that arent ready to crucify Braun yet either. They must be as deluded as some of us are Also burnzy is there clarification that this is true "The likely reason that he is not having a press conference is doing so would be in violation of the arbitration agreement which was agreed to in the CBA. He is in a lose-lose situation which makes it even more upsetting it was leaked MLB's final verdict." If so that would put to rest some of the disagreement here

    So what happened? Did Braun's team hold back information that would have made this go away so that they could spring it on MLB at the appeal? If you were going to court, would you state your specific defense and tactics to the public before your trial? Tactics? I thought he was completely innocent...what tactics are needed besides stating the truth? Why is Braun's team not simply remaining silent, why did they, as Passan put it: "Leak, leak, leak...to FoxSports.com and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and the New York Daily News, little tidbits intermingled among Sunday’s NFL action". Also again, given the meeting that was supposed to have occurred, one would presume the basis of Braun's defense would already have been presented to MLB at that time. Whats funny is you quote Passan who says Braun should just shut up in that same article while you say Braun should hold a press conference

    I highly doubt it K-rod that the Red Sox would have wanted since they could have just pursued him in FA before he accepted arbitration. If they wanted a closer we werent a great match because there is no way we are trading Axford while he is cheap and effective for a 28 SS with very little major league success who is coming off a bad year.

    Again, I ask why would people think Braun's camp leaked the info when stuff like this is the natural result? Even on a message board of knowledgeable fans we have devolved to the journal-sentinel comments section. Braun can't comment on the issue at hand so the rumor mill is going crazy. It stinks for everyone involved that this was leaked. If Braun is guilty it should have came out in January and there would not have been this insane rumor junk

    I am just surprised they used the money on a bat instead of a pitcher. Their rotation was a mess last year and they dont have much help in the minors. Willingham hits for good power and that team is sorely lacking a power bat. He is not as valuable as Cuddyer to me simply because Cuddyer can play anywhere. Willingham is 33 and will be 36 at the end of the deal but overall seems like a decent signing

    It's great! Sorry, that was another one I loved this year. I got to see them live in August before the album came out, and they did a lot of the new ones....good stuff! I've read lots of reviews of Hello Hurricane, and didn't really get to listen to it. I loved The Beautiful Letdown as a beginning to end album, and the last few that I've heard didn't really do it for me. This one is really good!Hello Hurrican was really good. Their best album since Beautiful Letdown by quite a bit, but what I have heard of Vice Versa it sounds even better. Pretty amazing how far they have come as a band since their early stuff. It always throws me off when I hear them on abc college football stuff. Sounds like we have pretty similar taste in music. Cool that you are in church music ministry - I am in ministry as well.

    Hey Craig, going off your musical tastes I was wondering what your thoughts were on the new Switchfoot album? Not sure if you are a fan but with some of the bands you listed I thought there might be a chance.

    Every Needtobreathe album, I say, "There's no way this band could get better", then their next one comes out. So far, top to bottom, it's their best yet. I really like Mat's sound and vibe, but Young Love is the most upbeat and cheery sounding album top to bottom. I've heard a few interviews with him about it. I really like it.I completely agree on Needtobreathe. I look forward to more time listening to Reckoning. I wasnt a huge fan of Mat's last album but the stuff I have heard off this album has been really good.

    This stuff is the exact reason I dont see why Braun's team would have leaked the information. Braun cant talk about it, his team wont discuss details so everyone speculates. At worst he is a cheater and right now at best he has an STD? Why would you leak the story with this being your possibilities in public opinion

    It is looking to see if there are other possibilities since Braun and others claim he is innocent. Now he could very well be guilty but 3 well respected posters have what sounds like similar info that they are hearing. What is wrong with holding out hope that Braun is actually telling the truth? Even you said the suspension will most likely be upheld, you dont sound definite on it.

    Man do I wish I had insider information like woogie and Invader. Instead I have to wait until January. Woogie quick question. When you say Braun will get hear from fans either way - do you mean if what you have heard is true he will still get heat or that some fans will think he is guilty no matter what so he will get heat?

    Prophet it is a good question I have been asking myself. If he is guilty I will still cheer for him because he is a Brewer. If his numbers stay consistent over time I will probably be able to root for him in the same way pre-incident. If his numbers drop-off then it will be harder because I will feel like his career numbers are inflated with steroids. I am a big Braun fan and hope he is innocent but I will still cheer for him as a Brewer

    UW-Milwaukee looked dead in the water the first half but they battled back really well. Glad to see that program rising back up. It would be great to have 3 teams in the tourney this year

    Hart does not have plus speed any more. Braun looks faster than Hart.

    Signing Ramirez pushed us to trade Casey for what looks to be a quality reliever as well. I like this signing even more now. Looks like Taylor Green and Mat Gamel will play roles on this team next year. We dont have a back up at SS so that will have to get figured out

    Seems like a quality return for Casey after last year. Bullpen is starting to take shape. We had two guys to replace in Hawkins and Saito and hopefully Veras can replace one of them.

    Didnt see this posted. Greinke left his agency in the spring of last year, after being traded to the Brewers. Wow, he wanted a trade from the Brewers 7 months ago!

    I tend to agree. The division right this minute is muddled enough that Epstein will soon realize he can steal it and will go out and sign Fielder. I see the Brewers as no better than dark horses at this point. Ramirez might have moved them from 80 to 84 wins. Big deal. That's not going to make me run out and buy tickets.If Braun is suspended 50 games this could be accurate but if he isnt it is makes little sense. We have upgraded at 3B drastically, upgraded at SS (especially defensively) and downgraded at 1B drastically. It is probably going to be a wash. Casey was horrible last year. Right now we need a couple bullpen arms and Braun to be exonerated and we are the favorites to win the division. And the Cubs are horrible. They dont have a 1B or 3B. Their rotation is bad outside Garza and their bullpen has issues. On offense they have one impact bat in Castro (and even his numbers arent great). They have guys like Byrd, Barney, Soto, and Soriano. Even with Fielder they are not that great next year.
