  1. You got to love the last sentence from the mlb.com article: In the final week of the season, the will host the Mets for three games and then the Padres for four games.
  2. He sure as hell took them out of position to win it in the 9th.
  3. Howard vs LHP this year: .212 .285 .410 .694 What a freakin' joke.
  4. It's really annoying when the CBS/FOX games aren't the Packers or any teams that I have fantasy players on. I don't care if Favre's on the Jets now, these games aren't that exciting to me.
  5. Hopefully Wellemeyer walks everyone like his last start against the Brewers. As long as the Brewers split the series they should be pretty confident in their wild card chances going forward.
  6. One random guy I used to hate was Carl Everett. That batting stance had that twitchy thing... ugh. I'd say him being an ass in general, spitting on an umpire, possibly abusing his kids, and him not believing in dinosaurs are a few good things that make him annoying. I can't believe I forgot to mention Pierzynski, there's no way anyone but White Sox fans like him. Has anyone seen his bleached hair, it's pretty laughable. I'm pretty surpsied Berkman is on a lot of lists. He always seems like he's having so much fun and has been very underrated his whole career.
  7. Nick Swisher - once more, he has jerk face and also one of the most elaborate throwing it up to the Big Baby Jesus moves I've seen a guy do for a single. Sorry, couldn't bite my tongue on this one as he's probably my favorite non-Brewer: "Swisher was very close to his paternal grandmother Betty Lorraine Swisher, who raised him after his parents' divorce and died from brain cancer in 2005; he famously has her initials tattooed on his chest. He points at the sky after every hit to acknowledge her and has her initials inked on the knob of his bats and usually on his batting gloves or shoes.[7][/sup] To honor her further, he decided to grow his hair and donate it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a program that creates free wigs for cancer patients" Granted that's from wikipedia, but I doubt someone would make that up. Plus, does anyone else have more fun in any profession? I doubt it. As for my actual list: Hunter Pence A-Ram Zambrano Aaron Miles/Adam Kennedy/Felipe Lopez/any Cardinal middle infielder Coco Crisp Most Twins position players that aren't Mauer or Morneau. Seriously, learn how to hit, you can't bunt and steal every at bat. Jeff Suppan (to be fair, any pitcher that nibbles with a lead, Claudio Vargas was up there last year)
  8. Did Manu Ginoboli get hurt? He played 6 minutes...
  9. Arrested Development G.O.B. Buster Bluth Tobias Funke Seinfeld Cosmo Kramer George Costanza Freaks and Geeks (Okay probably not of all time but a very underrated show) Nick Andopolis Bill Haverchuck The Office Creed Bratton Edit: Good call on Doug Wilson, although I've only seen the first two seasons.
  10. Our kitchen has smelled pretty awful the past few days so we finally moved stuff out of the corner to find yet another bat, this time a dead one. Awesome.
  11. I can't believe how fortunate Parra is giving up only 2 runs, he threw wayyy to many balls.
  12. I don't remember the exact quote, but he said something like "I didn't run to break the world record, I ran to win."
  13. Gameday had strike 3 to Wandy way outside, was it a bad call? According to Powel,l Manny got screwed on ball 3 to Ausmus though.
  14. Berkman and Wiggington pwn Sheets, but he's pitched well against the team this year.
  15. I think we are overreacting a bit. Sabathia was a guy that pitched 241 innings last year. There are very few pitchers out there that Ned would be able to do this with. Sabathia is one of those guys. It hasn't affected him yet so there is no reason to get all worked up over it yet. He had a 9 ERA in 15.1 postseason innings while walking 13 guys. I know it's an extremely small sample to use, but isn't it a possibility that he tired by October? I'd rather not run that risk if the Brewers do end up making the playoffs.
  16. 7 games is a lot to make up in a little less than 1.5 months. It's certainly possible, but it would take a good stretch by one of the teams coupled with the Brewers and Cardinals fading away.
  17. I walked into my house an hour ago to find a bat in the kitchen.
  18. I must admit, I was very shocked to see your name as the most recent post for the thread http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif.
  19. I've never liked Riske more than I do now. Unreal.
  20. Not to mention the "trademarked" side-armed throw later in the game that he threw away, right before Blake's homer. Yeah, he successfully turned the twin-killing with the side-arm throw later in the game, but it's so frustrating. 1) With a perfect throw Martin would've been safe 2) A lot of high school first basemen would've made that scoop. Weeks's turning struggles won't get much better with Prince playing first.
  21. Hah! I've heard that and I had no idea it was the same girl. "You're so gay and you don't even like boys" is how the chorus goes. She's gorgeous. Any potential attractiveness is thrown out the window when you come out with two awful songs like these.
  22. Counsell would clearly be a wing man since he's so good at advancing runners.
  23. Non-Brewers vent, sorry. I went to U.S. Cellular Field yesterday for the White Sox-Royals game. Overall, I thought the stadium was pretty nice and I saw an entertaining game, the White Sox hit back-to-back-to-back-to-back home runs. Anyway, throughout the entire game people were getting up/going back to their seats during every single inning. It was honestly a surprise if you saw an entire at bat without someone partially blocking your view. After the first couple innings I looked around the stadium and noticed that people all over were getting up in the middle of at-bats, not just our section. Was this just a rare occurrence, or are the fans that go just inconsiderate to other people? I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has been there if they've noticed the same thing.
  24. Maybe Rivera doesn't play much cause he's always out late partying http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif. Did one of the girls in the video call someone Canada? Is that his real name? She wasn't looking at Gagne when she said it.
