I somehow just realized I was at the Brant Brown game. I was 10 and I remember getting called out of school to go to the game and remember Sosa hit two home runs, yet I somehow don't remember that play...? Maybe we left early or something.
I think the reason the Cubs did so well against CC in two games was because most of their best hitter are right handed, Ramirez/Soriano/Lee/DeRosa. Granted, I don't know if Lou will be starting all those guys tonight.
That's basically as realistically optimistic as I can get. I'm hoping for the Brewers to go 4-2 and Mets 3-3 to force the playoffs. That should be decently attainable, 2/3 from Pit and then 2/3 from the Cubs assuming no Harden/Z/some other regulars. A sweep of the Pirates would be huge but I won't expect that considering the Brewers haven't even won a series since August. The best chance of the Brewers winning outright would be 5-1 vs 3-3 for the Mets.
Wouldn't you rather just have the Cubs win all their games against their Mets so you don't have to rely on the pretty difficult task of the Brewers winning out? It sounds like you hate the Cubs more than you like the Brewers.
Stupid work at 4. I heard about way too many devastating losses in '07 via text message from my brother (A-Ram walk off, double header in StL) to want to do that again.
The Brewers will pass the Mets tonight for the Wild Card lead and hold on to it. Today's the first day I'll have cable in a month and the game will probably be blacked out on ESPN http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
