  1. Wow break out the bats! Now we just have to shut down the potent Nats offense.
  2. It's a good thing Weeks has good reaction time, I thought he was about to be decapitated.
  3. It would be sort of like going from prime rib to -oh I don't know- weird teammate of prime rib?
  4. I don't know if the infielders have extremely powerful arms or the baserunners in general are just slow, but I can't even count how many times I'm thrown out by 5-6 steps on a grounder to the hole at short, or where the 3Bman has to dive toward the line and throw from his knees. Sometimes if I have to bat with Gathright (yeah, I'm the Royals) I want to bunt, and even if it's laid down perfectly down the line there's a pretty good chance he's thrown out. I've even watched the replays to see if the 3Bman was drawn in and he isn't on some of them where he's thrown out, so I don't think it's that. I'd encourage everyone to attempt to trade for Joba Chamberlain. I faced NYY in the playoffs and he made me look like a fool. 97 MPH 2 seamer, what the heck is that?
  5. The Brewers (okay mostly Prince's) defense continues to slide. Is it wrong that every time a grounder is hit to the right side of the infield I cringe? I mean not just in terms of fielding, but acknowleding who should cover first base, or who should flip to who...
  6. Is Pittsburgh's bullpen made up entirely of lefties? It's like they want the Brewers to stay in the game.
  7. And Rickie Weeks says, "Don't worry Prince, I don't want you to be the only one to make terrible decisions on defense." Nate McLouth has the weakest 4-4 day ever.
  8. Remember when there were some rumors of maybe trading for Marte last year? That would've been pretty cool. If Prince would've kept running there Hart might've beat that out.
  9. My god this guy has 17 BB's and 11 K's, yet his opponent average is .192, be patient!
  10. Someone tell Kapler it's April 10th.
  11. Time for a DiFelice sighting. Maybe we can throw Sheets out there on three days rest for the remainder of the season, he probably won't resign anyway. (Mostly kidding...)
  12. It's official, Prince Fielder not only sucks at defense, but also defensive decision making.
  13. Please steal Corey, Hardy and Hall have to be two of the top DP candidates.
  14. It would sure be nice if Fielder got an XBH here.
  15. Raul Chavez. Awesome. Apparently the second time through the order off Bush he starts throwing beach balls.
  16. I can't help but laugh every time Ryan Braun makes a play in the outfield.
  17. It would be a very sad day for baseball if Jason Kendall made the Hall of Fame.
  18. It's funny, because you know (If McClung is limited to that) Seth will probably only make it about 4, maybe 5 innings, so Villanueva will probably pitch the next 2-4. All they're doing is switching around the order that they pitch, so apparently that'll help Villanueva. Well there's the first real hit of the game.
  19. As cool as that slide was, I couldn't help but picture torn thumb ligaments or something.
  20. Hart has quadrupled his home run total on the road trip! I know Mientkwicz (definitely butchered) has never played third, but he might have the worst arm I've ever seen by a major leaguer.
  21. BA just said how the Brewers want to limit McClung to 75-80 pitches on Saturday. They might as well say "We don't want there to be a chance he'll pitch more than 4 innings." Bush should have a perfect game going.
  22. Wow, both Hart and Braun have walked already, you can tell Gorzelanny doesn't have much command.
  23. I can't really complain about the run on contact play with a runner on 3rd, but that's at least the third time this year Hart's been thrown out running home after a grounder to the left side, it's so frustrating.
  24. It's an embarassment watching Prince play "defense." How many home runs does he have to hit so his defense doesn't have a negative affect?
  25. Against the Cubs, Gorzelanny has given up 21 ER in only 11 innings. Against other teams, he's given up 9 earned in 29 2/3 innings. However it's very encouraging that his K:BB ratio is 24:31. Be patient, Brewers! (I'm looking at you, Braun and Hart).
