  1. I don't know if it saved the season, but apparently it told the pitchers to pitch very well for the next two games. And for the defense to improve, sans Hall I guess.
  2. I refuse to watch anything he is doing. If the CBS and Fox NFL pre-game shows are at commercial, I won't turn on ESPN. I watched the WGN feed of the Cubs game tonight, which should really speak volumes that I'd rather listen to Len Kasper. Men aged 40 and up seem to like him from my history. A guy I went to high school with and his older brother, both in their early 20s, love him (or at least did a couple years ago). When we did fantasy football drafts they'd use his terrible nicknames.
  3. Russell Branyan. Any guy who models in a man thong isn't nearly as macho as Branyan.
  4. Bold Prediction: The Brewers will hit three home runs tonight.
  5. Menotti has my favorite one so far with the "I wish I was a little bit taller..." one. http://truce.files.wordpress.com/2008/04/piechart_meatloaf.jpeg
  6. There was just a commercial on ESPN for purchasing Club Jenna (Jameson) T.V. I know it's 1:10 in the morning, but I never would've guessed that'd be on during SportsCenter.
  7. That's a good point, logan. I guess I never really thought about Hall's throws to first, but after watching Branyan field at 3B, he just looks more sound and smooth with his throws.
  8. Yeah, Weeks continues to hit into some bad luck after he smoked that ball right to Matt Diaz to end the 7th inning. On a brighter note, I'm 2-0 at games this year and I'll be going to two more this home stand http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  9. Hah! That's one of the funniest analogies I've heard recently. Speaking of misidentifying players, after Dmitri Young hit his home run yesterday and they were showing the replay, Bill called him Christian Guzman. Shouldn't they have someone correcting him in his ear piece? Even if they did, Bill didn't correct himself.
  10. There's been like four games in the last couple weeks that the Brewers "turned the corner". Weeks walk-off hit against the Cardinals, winning the first two games of the Pirates series, McClung's win in D.C. Until they win something like four in a row or 6 of 7 I don't think they'll have turned the corner.
  11. I had heard UW didn't want him cause of iffy grades and he can be a head case on the floor at times.
  12. True that. They came in first in Batting average, 3rd in OBP and 5th in runs. To limit them to 2 runs in 7 innings, with only one (intentional) walk is pretty great.
  13. I was just going to mention that game too, I was at it http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif. He even out-pitched Hudson, maybe it'll somehow happen again tonight, hah. If he pitches poorly again I have no idea what they'd do his next start. Villanueva has been just as bad as a starter, and I can't really see how Weaver, DiFelice or Jackson could do any better. Since Bush and Villanueva seem to be alright the first and second time through the order maybe they can throw each of them three innings or something? Bush's OPS against in innings 1-3 is .749, and innings 4-6 it's .926. For Villanueva it's .771 as opposed to 1.038.
  14. At least 1/2 of my teachers in high school spelled my last name wrong, even by the end of the school year. I even had a teacher who would spell my name "Glen" instead of "Glenn" all the time so as I joke I'd hand in tests that say "GlenN" at the top.
  15. You think someone's job title is "Changing the count next to the score on the top of the television screen"? If so, they're pretty terrible at it. At least once a game it's incorrect. How hard could it be, I'd love to apply for that job.
  16. It was 80 here earlier today, but I was just outside five minutes ago and could see my breath, yikes.
  17. You mean if Kapler didn't bail out Hart?
  18. You know what's a cool name? Conor. I can only think of two people in the world with that name, why isn't it heard more often?
  19. If I remember I think you can start applying to UW schools sometime in September. If there's any colleges you're currently thinking about but have never seen the campus, I'd encourage you to at least check them out and take the tour, unless there are any travel constraints or whatnot. Size and atmosphere of the campus are generally pretty big factors so it's always nice to see it up close.
  20. When I saw he had an open container of alcohol as well I thought it meant while driving, so at least he wasn't in a vehicle so it could've been a lot worse. Like others have said in a different thread I'm sure a big majority of NBA players smoke pot, he just happened to be dumb enough to have it on him in public. My favorite story is when Damon Stoudamire got busted with it in an airport because he had it wrapped in aluminum foil and went through the metal detector...genius.
  21. That's fine by me, I love that ballpark. In all seriousness they're now 3-12 in their last 15 road games, pathetic. Hopefully Sheets can pitch well again to split the series (against the worst offensive team in the league...)
  22. So far 7 K's and just 5 hits given up through 5 2/3, not a bad start.
  23. Omg Weeks and Fielder. I think they have to win now.
  24. I'm actually the exact opposite, hah. I haven't liked anything Less Than Jake has put out since Hello Rockview, which was about 10 years ago and after seeing them a few times live it gets kind of old. Goldfinger is like 10 years past their prime too if you ask me. I'm not exactly in love with Alk Trio's last couple CD's, but I'm a big "From Here to Infirmary" fan.
