Cappy with 5 innings w/o a run and 3 hits so far. 5Ks and 0BB. Nice outing to start the long road back. -
The Harley Museum is good if you like bikes or history. There is a ton of both. Even my wife enjoyed it. And I second having lunch at Motor, very good food, reasonably priced.

I can see Pinella using him 6 of 7 days until his arm falls off sometime in July. This has a train wreck written all over it.

Salome was in New York for the birth of his child for a few days, I don't recall how many games he would have missed though.

Macha has to go, his decision making sucks. As stated earlier he's horrible for a young team. And remembering the wonderful things McClung had to say about him in the interview that was posted here this offseason. I think alot was left unsaid by McClung and this team doesn'l like Macha and he isn't getting what he should be from anyone. Not sure how much more of this I can take.

He wouldn't. So glad this team goes off to Washington after today. Hopefully they don't play down to their level like they've sometimes done in the past.

Has it ever been explained why Suppan is being activated for the game tomorrow when they really don't need a 5th starter until the 24th or 25th (iirc). Wouldn't it make the most sense to have your newly signed ace going against a division rival's ace instead of a bad pitcher coming off 3 plus weeks of not facing MLB hitters? It seems too simple that I must be missing something.

According to MLB Insiders Magazine the average April temp is 46 degrees in Minneapolis and is just 2 degrees cooler than Denver and Detroit and 3 degrees less than Boston, Chicago and Cleveland. And has just 10 rainy April days fewer than those cities except Denver.

Zaun in the 6 hole is what he needs to break out of his slump. 3 for 4 today. This is the closest to a must win this early as can be.

If they can 'stash' him on the DL as insurance in case anyone gets hurt and/or lit up in April and May I say do it. Is he a great backup plan, no. But is it something besides young AA pitchers or AAA retreads, yes. It sounds like a better use of the 14.5 million than paying him to go back to the Soup Kitchen. And it is definately better than having to see him pitch at the start of the season.

The decision wouldn't be based on Suppan's minor league start, it would be based on the last 400 innings he's thrown.That is what I was trying to say but not so clear. What scares me is that they have decided he is the 5th starter so they don't need to see him pitch to ML batters tomorrow.

Somehow it scares me that Suppan is pitching in a minor league game, they have his career to base the decision on and he's proved he is a ML pitcher and deserving of the 5th spot. It seems like Macha likes to keep things close to the vest or just has no idea what he is doing yet with a week to go. Same with the batting order, when is that going to be settled?

I liked Lucroy's comments and attitude. I have a feeling he will be my favorite Brewer next season.
