  1. I asked almost this very question in the IGT Thursday night. I'd certainly rather experiment during spring training than when the games count.
  2. A quick look at my uninked arms would make it obvious to you that I am not. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. If I ever see a Fratalanatto, Trendle, Fatterson or Redmonds jersey at MP, I'm introducing myself, because the wearer is bound to be a bf.net kindred spirit. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. I had an eye exam today and it appears that my eyesight has improved modestly since 2008. I still need new glasses, but for a pleasant surprise reason.
  5. Yeah, it seems to come down to 'which UW team will show up this game?' I hope they don't lose in the first round, though.
  6. Oh, agreed. There was certainly value to finding a venue that would not mess up the girls' season schedule, and wouldn't have them not knowing until the UW hockey and basketball seasons were almost over whether there was room for them to play on campus or not. As a bonus, parking was not a problem at the Alliant Center (except for interested local onlookers who could walk to the Kohl Center for free but had to pay to park at the Alliant...but I know I'm in the minority on that issue). I wasn't looking to imply that it was intended as a slap, but in the end the girls were playing in a second rate facility. The Alliant folks did their best to make it hospitable, but the first time I gave the facility a chance for girls' basketball, the phrase "silk purse out of a sow's ear" kept coming to my mind. Anyway, after Saturday's sectional finals the brewerfan.net alma mater challenge will be over, and either my school (Monroe) or Brian the Automator's (Union Grove) will be in the girls' D-2 semifinal. Go Cheese!
  7. Bill on Corey Hart: /facepalm/ I'd hate to spend the meaningless spring training games getting used to corrective lenses. No, save that for the games that count. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  8. The basketball game I was following is over, so there are actually multiple chatters in the room (as of 8:30 PM).
  9. I'd certainly rather be referred to as a person.
  10. And here I was including April 6 in my season ticket package like a sucker. Still, nice deal for those of you who get it.
  11. Phew. Maybe I'll finally get some sleep tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. No kidding, that's a shame. Usually when a Brewers reliever turns bad I turn on him, but somehow I never felt compelled to do that with Derrick. I was happy to watch in person as he earned what now appears to be his final major league save. Good luck to him going forward.
  13. Amazing, perhaps, but maybe not likely. He seems to favor Rush.
  14. This year's season tickets have mostly player images on them (except Bernie Brewer for the Bernie bobble day, the Italian for that bobble day, etc.) Out of our 20-packs, two tickets have Doug Davis on them. /geeking out/ None of ours has Suppan...or Parra or Bush, now that I think of it.
  15. Our second 20-pack arrived today (still not stolen despite the box being left on the front steps...I guess we have an honest and maybe not baseball-crazy neighborhood), so except for parking passes, we are set for 2010.
  16. What I want to know is how many of the schools participating in this weekend's boys' basketball tournament are located within the heaviest snow band on OWBC's map...or have to travel across the snow band to get to Madison and fulfill their hoop dreams.
  17. People who try to steal (or succeed in stealing) library materials. It's shared property, not your property. Seriously, try to justify that.
  18. Its ok, the ticks are now diamonds. Not to get too far off-topic, but sweet avatar, Diskono. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  19. I'll admit to being immaturely delighted that UW has a higher seed than MSU.
  20. Those look a lot like a pair of prescription sports glasses my S.O. just ordered. Is that a piece of bike chain around Corey's neck? or maybe a friendship necklace from one of his kids?
  21. Well, they hold on. Nice. Real nice. And tip of the cap to everyone who stopped by the chat room during today's matchup.
  22. That was a fun listen. It sounded like we missed some good cough button material when Ueck started talking about 'getting excited' and 'rolling one'......Seriously, if you have a Gameday Audio subscription, check out the archive if you have the time. It'd be worth your while.
  23. Bob Costas is in the booth with Uecker. Between the two of them, we occasionally get bits of the game action.
  24. We got our April 3 tickets the day after I ordered them - though I telephoned our rep to order; maybe that was the difference.
  25. That's kind of sad. Edit: You know what it's like? A public television pledge drive. Back to what's not bugging me: today at Woodman's we got some brats and Silver Spring Beer N Brat mustard. And a lot of people had Brewers gear on, besides us even.
