  1. We just got a Pixma this weekend. The little bit of printing I've done so far has made me happy. The online reviews all looked good and someone in my office is happy with his.
  2. If I may piggyback a bit on Bikeage's thread, this terrific picture appears in this week's print issue of The Onion: http://www.theonion.com/content/files/images/SB-Fruity-Stripe-R.jpg Chicago Cubs Sell Stadium Naming Rights To Chewing Gum Company
  3. Bud was on the UW-Madison campus in February as the first speaker in a new history department lecture series "What Can You Do with a History Major." Indeed. Link to Daily Cardinal story
  4. At home, this fan forum. At work, the staff website for my agency.
  5. At Maryvale last year we saw some green merchandise in their gift shop. Some of it I think specified St. Patrick's Day 2007. As for why, I join Hall4President in having no idea. I get that the Brewers usually if not always play on March 17, but I would never have thought about having green Brewers gear for one day a year. Then again, I generally do not get hyped up over St. Patrick's Day. March 17 was my late grandfather's birthday, and that's the significance the date holds for me.
  6. No offense to 9-pack customers, but I think the Brewers might mail the 'bigger' packages first.
  7. Like Junior Spivey all those years ago, I'm devastated.
  8. We received our order of Girl Scout Cookies and half our order of Brewers tickets, all in one day. What is not to love about that?
  9. This year we ordered two 20-packs - a Sunday Plus package in addition to our customary fan's choice package. Today we received the Sunday Plus tickets, in this wire bound format. It seems unnecessarily fancy, but baseball tickets are baseball tickets. My guess is that the fan's choice tickets will not be as done-up, since as the Brewers keep reminding us, "seat location not guaranteed." But I suppose we will find out soon enough. Edit 3/12: Our fan's choice 20-pack arrived today; just a rubberbanded stack of tickets, which is what I expected. A letter was included, saying that some fan's choice customers will find new (presumably less desirable) locations for their package this year (due to a substantial increase in season ticket demand) and promoting the pre-set 20-game plans if you value your seat location more than the flexibility to choose your own game dates. Our fan's choice package is relatively immune to this because we request family section seating. All that's left for us to receive now are our exhibition game tickets and parking passes for all games. I am getting the fever now.
  10. Riske on the other hand looks incredibly happy. Well, he's not a Royal anymore.
  11. I dunno. they're up against the Casper Ghosts. It's like having two 1-seeds meet in the first round. Wouldn't a nice, piping hot, buttery biscuit taste great right about now? I rest my case, which appears to also be b19's case.
  12. Thanks for sharing, and welcome to the forum. It was a year ago right now that we were in Arizona. Realizing that, plus reading so many of your experiences, really makes me want to go back.
  13. I would expect a toilet seat cover to be a heck of a bacteria trap. I'd want to wash it every day or so. Yuck.
  14. Don't forget your cholesterol and triglycerides. Know your numbers!
  15. The next question is, can Eleva-Strum manage the trifecta? They're already the first school to win a football title and boys' basketball title in the same school year; now their girls' basketball team is playing in Madison too. 2007-2008: The year Eleva-Strum took over the universe?
  16. Brewerfan.net : looking out for jason21nl since March 9, 2008.
  17. Neither Bob nor Jim is very good at speaking with an Irish accent.
  18. Woohoo! The Monroe Cheesemakers get a second round of state tournament excitement, as the girls' team edged out Delavan-Darien in a thriller tonight.
  19. Does anyone know if there will be a site carrying either audio or video of tonights final? Try the streaming audio link at espn1070.com. They usually carry state tournament games, and I'd expect this game especially since a local team is involved.
  20. These radio commercials that air during Badger events, for a home security company, featuring pro golfer Jerry Kelly. Are there very many people looking to break into a PGA player's home, or is Jerry just a little paranoid?
  21. I suspect basketball will wipe out Madison area radio access today. 1070 is carrying high school hoops and 1310 the Badgers.
  22. Oooh, the AP called our site popular. Never have I felt so in with the in-crowd. Good eye, AJAY.
  23. Put him near a window and I bet no one would break into your house. No, really, it's an imaginative way to display the uniform.
  24. I can't help you with that.
  25. I was at the Kohl Center for all four daytime games today. I'll get the conciliatory part of this post out of the way right away: Burniebrewer, I hope the win by New Berlin Eisenhower helps make up for the pain you felt at Camp Randall in 1986. It looked like Monroe got out-Monroed. Of the games I attended today, my favorite was Adams-Friendship's win over Plymouth. One player hit a half court shot at the halftime buzzer, then followed up with what proved to be the game-winning 3-pointer late in the 4th. The halftime buzzer beater was kind of funny, as the player didn't appear to realize how little time was left on the clock until possibly half of the Kohl Center yelled, "SHOOT!" Then it goes right in. That's some kind of lucky, and part of what makes the state tournament fun to watch. Also - I was walking through the second floor concourse just before the afternoon session began, when I came upon none other than Bo Ryan, just walking through by himself. I smiled at him. He gave me the kind of acknowledging look a famous person would give a non-famous person who recognized him. Yes!
