  1. Honestly, I can't think of an image to add after the displays above. Instead I'll pay a little homage to the Brewers on the active roster who were born in 1982: Corey Hart (March 24) J.J. Hardy (August 19) Rickie Weeks (September 13) Tony Gwynn, Jr. (October 4) Manny Parra (October 30) Thank goodness for their contributions. I'd be more than ready to expand the props tomorrow to include Carlos Villanueva and Ryan Braun. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  2. Vinny Rottino did not bug me today.
  3. The Brewers currently sport a .667 winning percentage when we attend games (14-7). This percentage has been unusually consistent since mid-May, and contributes to my hope for today (and/or tomorrow). I'll be the one in the terrace box family section trying to keep a stiff upper lip.
  4. I didn't catch this last night, but according to the S.O., Brian and Bill said that Mark A. came up with the towel idea overnight. If that's so, I'll give him an A for effort, and, well, lower grades for timing and overall implementation. (Mark needs to have someone monitoring this site for ideas, though, as towels were mentioned here with enough time to put things together a little better.) If I'd been at the game, and experienced the kind of charming section mates that windiv described in the chat last night, I would probably be more angry.
  5. Adding "something to wave in unison" Friday night probably added a cool point or two, but making the something a plain white towel forces me to rescind said point or two. I wonder what Saturday and Sunday will bring.
  6. I remain kind of stunned that these giveaways were completely unadorned - particularly if they were ordered a while ago, but really, either way. While I am no expert on promotional products, I find it hard to believe they couldn't identify even a modest screen print design and find a sponsor willing to kick in for it. Plus, white flag? Widely recognized symbol of surrendering? This had to be a last minute idea. It just had to.
  7. You know, I understand the black graphics above, because I am also experiencing the pain and frustration...but the Brewers do have a starter tonight whose last name is Bush, not Over. I'm going to do my best to enjoy the last two games for what they are: two more chances to see the Brewers in action before a long off-season. It will be interesting to see the fan dynamic these last two dates. I'm not sure if that'll be good or bad.
  8. Wow - so you had a substantial distraction from the end of the Brewers' postseason hopes. I think if I had to choose, I'd hope for your situation working out ahead of the Brewers'.
  9. I now see "Unknown error!" instead of "Wrong password!" when I attempt to log in. That could be some kind of progress.
  10. Maybe they could have Vina and EY show up just to make it look decent. Ick. Hate to say, but my first thought was, why would they stick up for the Brewers? Sorry to be a little gloomy tonight.
  11. Friday, September 28: I've cleared caches, removed and replaced the chat room, and still get the "wrong password!" message. I've paged ransom in case he can help, but note that I can't promise success. And this is my last in-game chat opportunity of the regular season. Sigh.
  12. Brewstew2 is a phsycic! He quoted Hawing before she posted! What the rest of you don't realize yet is that by 2022, conversations are going to go in reverse order and sequences like the one cited above will be totally normal. Brewstew and I, we're on the cutting edge. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  13. If they were extra savvy, they'd do something different for each of the remaining games.
  14. The 'embed' field on youtube for this video says "embedding disabled by request", so I'll post the link. Hawing gets out kleenex for this.
  15. Didn't Corey Koskie use a Rush song for his walkup music?
  16. The graphics are fine. I kind of miss the splits, etc; though admittedly, right now looking at a Brewers' bullpen list might hurt my eyes. Dear Brewers: Going 1-0 tonight would help on several levels: 1. 82nd win. Third time's the charm? 2. Three consecutive punch-to-the-gut games is no way to proceed, for anyone involved. 3. Win it for baby Luzinski. How can you say no to a newborn? I know you're motivated, and I know you're capable. Just put it together for tonight. Love you lots, hawing
  17. Brian's a dreamer.
  18. Wish I knew what to tell you, bball. I got in last night, for the first time in about a week, but so far today have been shut out too. I'm leaving for home soon but if I continue to have no luck I'll try paging ransom, our Yuku troubleshooter. Be advised that the problems have stymied him too. I'm looking at it this way: the only game I've chatted in this homestand is the one the Brewers lost. Maybe that was bad mojo. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif
  19. Any really cheap stuff being sold at the fanzone since its the end of the year? Not as of Monday. Indeed, as I searched in vain for my long coveted navy Hart jersey tee (I settled for gray), I still found a lot of shirts for Mench, Shouse, Graffanino, and even a few for Counsell. The Linebrink jersey tees are in now, in case y'all wondered. I think the Brewers would have had to be eliminated some time ago to see Fanzone merchandise on sale now. Heck, on Monday there was still a moderate sized crowd milling about the field level Fanzone in the middle of the game.
  20. 1-0 for Thursday, Brewers. That's all we ask of you.
  21. Deadspin's just trying to be funny, as is their wont.
  22. That bit of glory was the absolute first thing I thought of upon seeing the thread title. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/smile.gif
  23. I remember when I was jumping for joy when we were 81-81 in 05. As do I. That is one of my all time favorite in-game threads.

  25. That Ticket Technology function on the Brewers' website is how we finally stumbled across the online postseason payment information in our account. So I'm guessing the 20 game customers have been eligible to use it all along. The ticket graphics are a bit ugly (houndstooth and baseball? go together how?), but the colors are reasonably Breweresque - and of course the Brewers logo makes them beautiful overall, whether any of them are ever used or not.
