  1. Fernandez time. Wheeee!! Indeed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  2. Just got here. What the heck is going on? (Rhetorical; don't answer that.) I wonder if lil Ben could benefit from hypnosis. His woes at the bigs continue to make me think it's at least partly mental.
  3. Jimbo, I knew you would know that. Brewerfan's secret weapon. Thanks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Winds NNW at 25 to 35 mph. So would that mean the wind will be blowing out, in, or across?
  5. Wouldn't it be nice if this were a turning point in the season? (I mean a positive one.) Way to battle.
  6. Hate to say, but if you rely on milwaukeebrewers.com, Capuano-Park is the matchup for Wednesday 5/10. Both milwaukeebrewers.com and ESPN indicate that tonight's matchup pits Doug Davis (2-2, 5.35) against Clay Hensley (1-2, 4.28 ).
  7. Seriously, I can't think of a single post that has merited banishment as much as the one that loser made today. No kidding. Even if we frequent participants had been able to read between the lines (even) faster and see through the false post, just having it there threatens the site's credibility. So thanks for the swift response today, and good riddance to this guy.
  8. Can the subject line at least be edited to include a question mark or something? Edit: Thanks, Toby. That'll cut down on the migraines, heart trouble and general freakouts.
  9. Go Brewerfan! Make us forget the woes of our 'professionals' by capitalizing on this, your first of a series of must-win situations. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  10. Bold prediction for 2006: JJ will hit .300. Will that be with or without the eye patch? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  11. Laurel said he's working hard. Wendy's raising young Natalie (because Laurel's at work at lot). They listen to Bob and Jim a lot on satellite radio. Baseball runs deep in the Selig bloodline. Stuff like that.
  12. Check out the Brewers Radio Network pregame...JP is interviewing Laurel Prieb. Way to keep those western states engaged, man.
  13. i'm pretty sure that we have no choice but to try and create action-pose softball cards of each player, and then sell them with a piece of bazooka gum. Put the images on a t-shirt. They would be the latest CafePress craze.
  14. I'm thinking back to the TV commercial taped during last year's spring training. Oh, I know. It's just that Ned was all about battling for a while too (though the B word did not appear in that ad last year).
  15. Don't you guys battle anymore?
  16. If it's not the kids, it's the senior citizens turning out for the discount days. Features Brewers Bingo, don't you know. We are going on the 18th and if the park wasn't crawling with youngsters today, it surely will be by then.
  17. I'm playing a little snippet of Fuel right now. (Yes, it's a bit tardy but I can't ignore library visitors.) Two wins for Sharpie!
  18. You might want to check your sarcasm meter. I think it's broken. What this board needs is a sarcasm emoticon. Thanks for the extra runs, Geoff. I wish it were the 8th, but I'll take it for now. C'mon, bullpen. I want a W for Sharpie here.
  19. Well, stay on first until you *have* to advance. Like for the next base hit. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  20. Wasn't Lidge lit up recently? or is that wishful thinking? (OK, even if I recall correctly, it's probably still wishful thinking.)
  21. I smell an E in the 9th I was going to say "Quiet, you!"; but you have a point in citing FSN's highlights as the likely source of the jinx.
  22. wgn just showed a graphic of chris capuano . . . 21 walks allowed . . . most in the national league. Well, that's definitely whacked out for Capuano, who has 9 BB. Sadly, it's the man in my avatar who currently leads the NL with 26 BB. (Maybe he had 21 going into yesterday's start?) Even Hothead Zambrano has 20 BB. Hmph. EDIT: d'oh, I see I'm a bit slow on the post.
  23. hey a winning april Yeah, despite the April photo on the Brewers' calendar (Wes Helms masquerading as Chris Magruder). That's some negative mojo, yet the Brewers will still finish (slightly) above .500. Mr. May on the calendar is Capuano.
  24. Wow our offense is potent. No offense against the offense today, but it helps to have my ex-man Glendon on the mound. Perhaps the Brewers could arrange to face him more often?
