  1. L.A. was just swept by the Cubs Remember, don't just say "L.A." It's either LAD or LAA. Or if you're Uecker, the O.C. Angels. (I love how he and Jim refuse to use the new name for that franchise in Anaheim, or L.A., or Orange County, or Disneyland, or wherever the heck it is.) Go Brewers! (of Milwaukee)
  2. You could definitely do worse than batting around in the 1st.
  3. 5/28/05 Astros (Rodriguez) vs Brewers (Sheets) 6:05pm CST That looks SO great. Welcome back, Ben.
  4. We're in our reg'lar seats, Jamie, TB 417. You know, those cheap seats you made fun of after the last game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif If I'm away, it's just temporarily to pick up some tix to an extra game (I'm bringing some of my student employees in July); but Tom will be there if I'm not. Hope to see you.
  5. Who's Sharpie? DD. So named for his facial hair last year, I believe. In his 2004 team mug shot, it looked like his facial hair was drawn in with a Sharpie pen. This year it's different; maybe he drew it on with a Sharpie Magnum.
  6. Go, Sharpie, Go. (And the rest of the home team too.) Please justify my leaving work early and battling the holiday weekend traffic.
  7. Why, sure enough. Thanks.
  8. I finally signed up the other night. Shouldn't I have a little supporter icon by now? I just want to be like the cool kids.
  9. I'll have my lucky Sharpie close at hand tonight.
  10. I could go for this. (Jamie, I won't leave you twisting in the wind.)
  11. Hawing- wish I'd have known you'd be there, I'd have come to your seats and said hi. I think I posted it earlier in this thread. Well, I wouldn't have wanted you to miss out on your 100 level seat. Look for us some other day in TB 417. Our next game is Ben bobble night (May 7). So who was wearing the 3TO shirt in 418 last night?
  12. I'm back now too. (Took a bit longer coming from Madison). The highlight of the night was seeing a smart fan wearing a 3TO t-shirt purchased from this very site. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Terrace box 418, represent. I was going to try to hail you after the game but couldn't find you then. Otherwise, I don't know why I'm relatively sanguine about the loss. Maybe it's just the relief of not being no-hit? or the relative comfort I took in watching the Cubs blow a 5-0 lead (via out of town scoreboard). Oh, and the weather was great. Was that the first open-roof game of the season?
  13. We're going tonight too, and having read this thread I can't decide if that's good news or bad news. If nothing else, one of the flavors of the day at Kopp's is Ultimate Cookie Dough. Yum.
  14. Well, if someone had told me at the end of the first that G-love was "only" going to give up 3 runs in 6 innings, I would have been surprised. I guess my first experience watching him could have been worse. And I hope that saying this doesn't doom the next game we go to (Monday, which should again feature Glover). Frankly, I thought the Pirates' play tonight reflected some rebound effect of that team meeting they had last night. So maybe it'll be temporary. Less than 24 hours would be nice.
  15. This is so great. I can hardly wait for Tuesday night!
  16. I just took my first peek at Sharpie's 2005 head shot. He appears to be using less Sharpie on his face.
  17. Thanks, JDLR. Can you please hold the fort down a little longer?
  18. "This is Glendon Rusch's game." Got to like the sound of that...
  19. First of all, congratulations (in advance). Is "Metro" one of the sections whose content varies depending on whether you're in Milwaukeeland? (i.e. is it worthwhile to buy a copy distributed in Madison because our first game isn't until Tuesday?)
  20. Ah, I should have looked at this before I posted a few minutes ago. Not being on my home computer, my password didn't enter automatically and I was a little taken aback when I saw that I needed Approval! But I'm OK now, just caught a bit off guard.
  21. ...How, in the name of Russell Branyan... I really hope Russ at least looks at this board sometimes. He should know that he is loved, worshipped, and has his name invoked. Also, that mothership is ready to fight over him. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  22. Should we be worried about Sharpie's performance? Or is it just spring training rust?
  23. I got a logo t-shirt during the 2003 store era. The colors were a bit lighter than I'd expected, but they have held up fine through washings so far. (I wear it to about half the games I attend. So far no one seems to have noticed. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif ) I also didn't have a problem with shrinkage - though I usually line dry most of my cotton shirts. And as I have a women's shirt, I guess I can't give an iron clad guarantee of the same results for Colby or JoeH. So unless cafepress has changed its suppliers in the last year, I'd endorse the general product. Hope that helps.
  24. Looks great. And nice to have the store back too. I was going to ask Brian to keep us informed of thong sales, but I see there's at least one sale pending already...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
