Heh.....I realize it literally makes no difference in the 8th inning of a 9 - 1 game, but why have Lyle ".459 OPS vs lefties" Overbay waste an at bat there? Herrera and Maldonado rarely get a chance to see in game action. Let one of them get a hack. -

Great that we're winning and all, but good lord, this game is seriously just crawling along.

I just can't see this as a viable option. Even if we "ONLY" have to pay Howard 4 or 5 million a year for the next 3 years, he's a negative value player now. He's horrible defensively, can't hit left-handed pitchers, and is just not good, period. Why give up ANYTHING of value, plus ANY cash for a guy of his skilset? Are people just enamored with the name? He has absolutely nothing left in the tank.

I'm not sure who we have in our rotation that Peavy is better than. Marshall averaged 8.8 assists per game in only 29 minutes. That's pretty darn impressive.

Getting bad reads on pitchers moves and releases. Getting bad jumps.

I really dont mind the solo shot with the four run lead. Go after guys when you have a 3-4 run lead. Don't nibble around the corners and try to get picky.
