    Boy, has Brady Clark cooled off For the season, his SLG% is down to .359, and his OPS is at .728. HOW bad is Grieve hurt, anyway? Oh, a .359 SLG% for a corner outfielder is totally pathetic

    This game isn't even on WGN? What is it about the Cubs, usually they're on about 17 national channels, but when they're playing the Brewers, they're not on TV at ALL!?!?

    Branyan could very well be 2nd on the team in homers in 2-3 weeks if he stays hot. I don't know how to feel about that........

    igor, yes, Branyan is playing. But Neds language and quotes have been easily interpretable to lead a person to believe that that's not exactly the way Ned wants it. Backhanded compliments to Branyan (He's just hot right now) and constant mention of "There's still a platoon" and so on. NOW, actions DO speak louder than words, and if Branyan continues to play everyday, I won't have a problem, and I WILL pipe down about it. But if Ned continues to bench Branyan against lefties, there's going to be some questions about why he does that.

    I think if Yost tried to justify playing Helms over Branyan right now, he'd get run out of town on a rail. I mean, is there ANY way he would NOT look like a complete fool?!?! Sign him for next year Doug! Do it NOW!

    Part of being a boss is making mistakes. Being a GOOD boss is admitting a mistake, and correcting it. BAD bosses compound the problem by pretending they didn't make a mistake, or hiding the fact they made a mistake, and continue to allow that mistake to fester and cause problems. Doug, fix this mistake. Cut Helms. Eat the contract. Whatever.

    Can we PLEASE cut this dead weight? I mean, SERIOUSLY, he is nothing but a drain on this team. First pitch weak grounder, and the sad thing is, I predicted that (well who didn't, right?) GET RID OF THE GUY EAT HIS SALARY, WHATEVER, but he is NO GOOD.
