  1. Caleb Williams visiting Madison today apparently. Big push to get a commit this weekend.
  2. And Noah Fant and Albert O at TE. If I was GB, I might try to get one of those guys in return too. Throw in Deguara if Tonyan is expected to be healthy.
  3. curt schilling had more going on than just political views. and I'll leave it at that.
  4. "Though he’s back on the free agent market, Zimmerman has stated on multiple occasions that he never plans to suit up for another team." I know that guys will generally go where the most money is, but Zimmerman has made enough money that if he can't play in Washington, he's probably just gonna hang up the spikes. https://wtop.com/washington-nationals/2021/11/ryan-zimmerman-plans-to-play-in-2022-but-no-decisions-either-way-yet/#:~:text=2%20months%20old-,Ryan%20Zimmerman%20plans%20to%20play%20in%202022,no%20decisions%20either%20way%20yet'&text=Though%20he's%20back%20on%20the,suit%20up%20for%20another%20team.
  5. I don't care too much that Barry Bonds didn't make it. I don't care too much that Big Papi did. I think though, what it's showing is that there's a significant enough number of voters who are voting for guys who were nice to the press to make a difference on whether or not these guys make it into the hall or not, and that's a dumb reason to vote for someone or not. If you want to *not* vote for guys who cheated, be consistent with that. If you want to not vote for guys who were strongly considered (but never proven) to be cheaters, be consistent with that. But not voting for Bonds (who was a dink to the press) while voting for Papi, is just silly
  6. As far as murder mystery/drama/detective show/time travel/mind bender/ plot twist/horror shows go, I'm one season into Dark on Netflix, and it's pretty good. you definitely can't be doing other things while you're watching, or your'e going to miss plot points and character introductions and key exposition, but it's pretty good so far. Not sure if it got mentioned earlier in the thread, sorry if so. But it's good through one season.
  7. Heh. People were calling for Adams to be cut because of drop issues in his 2nd season. That being said, I'm still waiting for MVS to become what his potential says he should be, because he's not there yet. Lazard is just a big fairly slow guy who's a (admittedly) really good blocker. I'd like Lazard for what he is if he wasn't expected to be the #2 WR. I feel like the development of these guys (Namely MVS an EQSB) have been at times hampered by the way Rodgers will cold shoulder them when he's locked in on Adams, or when they drop a ball and he won't look at them the rest of a game (or 2).
  8. This can't be overstated. As I've gotten older (and hopefully wiser), sports is just entertainment to me, not *life*. Don't get me wrong. I still really enjoy watching my teams do well. I was ecstatic when the Bucks won a title (I'm not crying, you're crying!), but the losses are annoying, they're not soul crushing. 2014 was where I said "I don't need to let this bother me". Like you said, if I have something to do on Saturdays (Badger games) or Sundays (Packer games) I do it, and watch highlights later. I think I only missed a few games this year. I still want to watch the games, but I'm not going to make a football game be detrimental to something else in my life at this stage.
  9. If that's the case, and LaFleur didn't address it during the game, that's still on the coach. Or the coaching staff. To be looking at plays and their little blue tablets and saying "Aaron, we're seeing this is open here" "We're seeing a lot of XYZ and ABC" I want to be clear (again) that I'm not saying a lot of the blame doesn't fall on Rodgers, but.... 1) We don't know if the gameplan was "whip it around to Adams" 2) We don't know if that was just Rodgers doing his own thing 3) We don't know if the coaches addressed it with Aaron during the game or not (They should, if they didn't) 4) and most importantly, we know from having LaFleur here for 3 years now, he's not really going to share this information with us.
  10. Gotta have standards.
  11. Poor Josh Allen.
  12. I Say Again. Wow.
  13. They have definitely been close.
  14. nice toss by Allen
  15. James Brown isn't using Hair Club or a wig or anything like that, he's just drawing his hair on with a Sharpie, and he absolutely doesn't care who knows.
  16. You're starting a franchise next year. Who you taking. Burrows or Mahomes?
  17. Yeah, if it ends up Buf vs Cinci, I can get behind either of them winning. I have to root for the Rams, because I just hate San Fran.
  18. The Brady magic ran out
  19. The Curse of Matt Stafford.
  20. Rams did the Bucs a favor by taking the TO.
  21. It's weird watching these other games and watching them punt and kick fg's and just knowing that their kicks won't get blocked.
  22. And watching them take the Packers to the playoffs would be even more hilarious. Given the cap situation next year, I think that's pretty optimistic. I think I'll just say I want no part of Mitch Trubisky in Green Bay, and leave it at that. I'd rather rebuild with Jordan Love, win 3-4 - 5 games, get the cap situation cleared up and go into 23 with a fresh(er) start and a high draft pick.
  23. I think that's fair. To put your team in cap hell, be full on "super bowl or bust" mode, and not address the elephant in the room (special teams) at all, knowing all season long it was a huge, glaring, obvious problem, is exactly that. An organizational failure. Last night, it quite literally cost them the game. Is that on Gute? Lafleur? Both? Whatever. It's done and over with, but the organization needs to take a long look at their team building and hiring philosophy and decide where they go from here. It's not going to be pretty.
  24. This is fair. Rodgers didn't have a good game. He didn't have an "awful" game. Jimmy Garrapolo had an awful game. Our special teams directly lead to a 10 point swing, which, well, we lost by 3 points, so, yeah. Yes, Rodgers obviously can, and should have played better. There's no getting around that. In any football game that you lose by 3 points, there's any number of plays that you can say "that play could have been the difference maker". Rodgers shoulders a large part of the blame. But like you said, for once, it would have been nice if when he wasn't quite on, the special teams would have even been "subpar" instead of predictably awful, we'd be moving on to play in the NFCCG. That's all we needed from the special teams. Just not allow a blocked kick. They could have even allowed the 50 yard kick return. Or even 2 of them. Just not allow a blocked kick. That's setting the bar pretty low, and they failed.
