  1. 6 was fine. 6 actually "felt" right too. Maybe my perception is wrong, but it felt like we still had plenty of good first round matchups. These games are just gross, and not compelling at all.
  2. Well. That was interesting for a few minutes
  3. All around, the Packers are a better team than the niners. I don't like how the Packers defend the run, which is what the niners do well. but the Packers are a better team.
  4. That's what I don't get. They had time for 2 shots, unless they completed a ball in-bounds. I don't know if that was called from the bench (it's possible.......McCarthy), but that was incredibly dumb. Just incredibly dumb.
  5. Close on my first two predictions for the day.
  6. I would expect nothing less from a McCarthy coached team lololol.
  7. Deebo could run for 150 yards going outside if they gave him enough carries.
  8. The Bengals game had a good finish, but that game was hard to watch. The refs just bungled it up so, so bad. I was looking forward to that game, just because I felt like that could be a competitive game. Refs just made it boring and unwatchable.
  9. Philly gonna get run off the field by halftime.
  10. At 7 - 6 I thought the Bills were cooked. They just didn't look like a Super Bowl team. They have as much talent as anyone in the NFL, but like FTC says, they're inconsistent. IF they play with the ferocity and focus they played with yesterday for 3 more games, they're gonna be tough to knock out.
  11. Let's see today -- Tampa Tom and his dinged up Bucs 31 - Philly 20 Upset special San Fran 24 - Dallas 21 KC 35 - Pitt 17
  12. 7 possessions, 7 touchdowns before the kneeldown.
  13. Patriots are making me look foolish picking them to lose by only 8
  14. Cincy was in control of the game most of the way through. Every time Vegas scored, or got within a score, Cincy scored or answered. They didn't take unnecessary risks, and kicked field goals because that's all they needed to keep it 2 scores most of the way through the game. I don't think the game hinged at all on that one play.
  15. I picked Bengals by 7. 1 for 1 so far. Now I have Bills by 8.
  16. not enough to hedge a timeout against it.
  17. 3 times a player who is not a RB or QB has won the award. One of the three was kicker Mark Mosely, in the strike shortened 1982 season. I don't think anyone has any explanation for how the writers got together and awarded the MVP to a kicker.
  18. Kupp might get OPOTY. I think it's gonna go to Taylor, just because of the amount of hype and press he's gotten. Kupp won't get more than 1-2 MVP votes, if that. As FTC said, receivers don't get MVP consideration. Jerry Rice finished 2nd in 1987, and that's as close as a receiver will probably come.
  19. Anyways..... I got Bengals over the Raiders with some offense today --- maybe 34 - 27 Bills over the Pats, delaying Mac Jones ascension to taking over the league ala Tom Brady style. Lower scoring -- 24 - 16
  20. My fear is that the Packers will play next Sunday and their NFCCG opponent I’ll play next Saturday. that's not fear, that's optimism.
  21. Bucks traded Allen because he didn't get along with George Karl. It might be said that that isn't a good reason, but there was some "ego management" issues, and Karl and Allen didn't see eye to eye. When the Payton/Mason package was available, they took it, probably hoping they could sign Payton to an extension (which we know they didn't).
  22. To be fair, the Bucs went 7-9 the year before, and scored 458 points. 3rd in the league. They had a dreadful defense. They got Brady, and upgraded their defense all over the place. They went from 458 points to 492. A jump, but not a huge jump. THeir defense wernt from 449 points allowed to 355. Brady made them better, but they went out and got a BUNCH of pieces. Not just Tom Brady.
  23. haha good catch on "Paul Pierce". I'm home sick with the covids and admittedly not super with it.
  24. I'm sure a lot of teams can say this, but the Bucks are like 16- 3 when Giannis, Midds, and Jrue all play. Everyone is dealing with injuries and Covid, but when they're healthy, the Bucks are (obviously) one of the top 2-3-4 teams in the league. If (and that's a big if) they can be healthy at the end of the season, I'm not worried about the seeding or whatever. They just need to be healthy.
  25. Well, 2019 Packers made it to the NFC title game in LaFleur's first year, Bucks made it to the ECF for the first time in forever, and the Brewers made it to the NL wild card, so that's probably it.
