  1. I'm curious about this as well. Running new guy a lot.
  2. It's 10 minutes of the first quarter of the first game. I'll give it some time before I start worrying about the offense.
  3. Hey. Replay review that gets it right. Wuuut?
  4. Those are all pretty decent schools, but absolutely nowhere near the prestige that Texas and Oklahoma have, obviously. For football now, they won't really have a marquee program that year in and year out you think "that's a top 10 program". They may occasionally have a Baylor or a TCU sneak into the conversation, but there's no powerhouse now.
  5. I've heard this pointed out about Sofia before, but as the previous poster said, she's reporting pretty often on things that have been told to her by players, managers, coaches, and various stadium and front office personnel, so it's just something she's going to say. There's only so many synonyms for "he said" that a person can use before it sounds forced, IMO.
  6. Yeah, I don't have a problem with thanasis being like the 13th or 14th guy on the team. He can run around, he can rebound a bit, and he can dunk and stuff. He doesn't embarrass himself out there. We don't need to sign another brother just to keep g happy.
  7. If you're watching on YouTube you can go into settings and change to the Brewers broadcast
  8. They're probably just an outfit that pays players to play games against high profile comp that needs or wants to pad their schedule and pays "Bishop Sycamore" a decent amount to just show up and get walloped.
  9. While I don't necessarily disagree with the premise that both of our new acquisitions were being put into situations that they weren't expected to be used in, they are also professional relievers and whatever the number You see before the inning they are pitching in is, they should be expected to be able to get outs. It's not like either of them was being asked to close. I will say that Curtiss for sure had a heavy workload placed on him his first week here, although I don't know if that had anything to do with his injury, perhaps just his performance. I know there's a human element to it. I know there's more to performance than just going out there and doing the same thing night after night, but whether you're pitching in the 6th inning or the 7th planning, you got to be able to get outs. Giving these guys a bit of a free pass because we are putting artificial limitations on when they should be expected to perform such as, what inning it is, I think is just being a little generous. I mean, Jake Cousins is being used as a setup man on days when Williams can't, and he's getting it done.
  10. I think we don't really notice the borderline calls that our pitchers get to their benefit a lot less because it doesn't provoke an emotional response the way our batters getting a borderline call against them does. That's why a lot of people are surprised to learn that the Brewers are actually at a pretty good net positive on the ump scorecards for the year.
  11. Would have been nice to get 2 from Strick, but that's not gonna happen now.
  12. The problem I see arising here tonight is that Suter went 2 yesterday, so he's not going to be available tonight. I can see them trying to push Anderson through a few more innings potentially.
  13. well, he gutted through it somehow. He's gonna sit down and stiffen up. It'd be nice if we tacked on a few more runs and give the bullpen a cushion for the night.
  14. I'm guessing if he gets through the inning they're using this time to get someone ready to go and we don't see Anderson in the 3rd.
  15. Championship or bust
  16. Ashford had been pitching in the minor leagues, and was game ready. Braun has been at most, swinging at a ball on a tee and doing CrossFit Even after pitching in AAA, we can see that throwing ax Orson's a great idea. Getting braun up to game speed at this point and probably doesn't have a lot of utility
  17. Votes are cast before the playoffs
  18. You have to have one inning pitched per team game played to qualify. That's why Peralta doesn't show up in any of the rate stat categories.
