  1. I think the Mets cancel out the monopoly claim.
  2. What was the actual cause of the accident and death of Ayrton Senna in San Marino 1994?
  3. I always thought "Big Bird" by Eddie Floyd would work well as an at-bat song. It starts out with a nice intro barrage from the Memphis Horns and then Steve Cropper starts cooling it off by the time the sound guy starts fading it out to resume the game. "Ace Of Spades" by Motorhead would do the job of warmup music as a closer. That or "Feel My Heat" by Dirk Diggler.
  4. I've seriously lost count after a while. I've been fairly clean the past 5 years, averaging 1 or 2 pull-overs a year since then but no tickets! My attorney is relieved.
  5. Just get the highest estimate you can for the damage. Maybe they'll total the car. If not you'll just get a check for the estimate. You don't have to spend any of this money on the car at all. If the car is drivable as is, drive it and pocket the money. Or you have the option of taking it to a different repair facility where they will be willing to do the bare minimum to get the car legal to drive. Then you can pocket whatever is left from the insurance check. PM me if you're in the Fox Valley. Maybe I can help.
  6. Always fight your tickets no matter how blatantly guilty you are. You'll be surprised what you can get out of. Trust me. I've been pulled over 30+ times. And yes your insurance company is always looking for any kind of reason to increase your premiums.
  7. I was at that game last year where some dude hit 2 grand slams in one game. Can't remember if it was against the Nats or the Marlins. That's gotta be rare. I witnessed Randy Johnson's only home run. I also witnessed the only home run he ever gave up to a pitcher.
  8. That's quite the reach for Houston.
  9. DeShields Jr. only because his daddy was my favorite player. I feel really old when I can remember Sr.'s rookie year. He's totally not the guy the Brewers should be going after in the first round, but I'll sure be rooting for him no matter where he gets drafted.
  10. How do the Angels look as trading partners? I've been hearing they've been shopping for a 1B like Konerko & D. Lee ever since Morales got hurt. Do the Angels have any nice chips they'd be willing to part with?
  11. I must say I am very impressed with the maturity Gallaraga showed after getting the hosing of the decade. There is no way I would have been able to stay that calm in the same situation.
  12. Detroit is a rough town to begin with. Joyce is gonna have a hard time getting out alive. Funny thing is he's gonna have to work the game tomorrow.
  13. Missed it by about an entire step. Brutal missed call. You could tell he was about to call out before he waved him safe.
  14. It's a total pipe dream for me but are the Brewers even allowed to talk to Kremblas now that he's managing in Indy? I always thought he should have been the one managing this club since 2007. Excess booze and strip clubs be damned. He was the right guy for the job in my opinion.
  15. I still have mine but it's a size 7. I've got a small dome.
  16. How can this team not be in the cellar? Put some wins together Houston. Brewers want that #1 draft pick!!!
  17. If Macha had pulled him after the 6th like he should have, Wolf's ERA would have been in the low 4's I believe. Yeah it would have been cool if he could have gone deeper in the game but Macha let him out there to die after giving a 6 inning quality start.
  18. Gerut has the best at-bat song of any other Brewer at the moment. It is clearly more superior to Gross' at-bat salvation rocker.
  19. Your 2010 Milwaukee Brewers It's All Coming Undone!!!
  20. Do those pre-arby can't miss guys even exist? If they do it's gonna take more than Fielder to get one. Braun & Fielder for Strasburg?
  21. I think it's a good move for the Royals. He should give that young team a pulse and get them to play some competitive baseball. He'll be fine until the team actually becomes competitive and there are higher expectations. But it's gonna take a while to get that far.
  22. I was born in Milwaukee but missed out on 1982 because I lived in Colorado as a child. I didn't move back to Wisconsin until the early 90s and didn't really get into baseball till later. So I don't have any great memories of the Brewer's glory years. Yet, I still prefer the ball and glove logo only because it's visually more appealing. To me it seems that the majority of the people I see in the stands prefer the old logo too. Looking at the age of some of these fans I doubt many of them are hanging on to any kind of glory days by wearing the old stuff. If you ask them, they'll probably just say that they think it looks better than the new stuff.
  23. I can't stand teams that are constantly updating their uniforms. The Brewers current uniforms are acceptable. If they wanna incorporate the ball & glove logo back into the new colors, they can do what the Twins did for a few years with their traditional TC logo. Their home cap was the M logo they had been using since the eighties and they used the TC cap for the road games. Or was it vice versa? The one thing I cannot stand with the Brewers uniforms is the typeface they are using for the numerals and names. It looks hideous on the uniforms especially when it's outlined with another color and then drop shadowed with another. It's terrible. Stop trying to be unique because it's just gonna look cheesy, dated and amateurish. Just stick with the traditional block letters and give them a simple outline if you must. If you wanna add in some simple navy piping to the jersey as a small homage to the Milwaukee Braves that'd be fine too. But it really isn't necessary.
