    Well come'on now. I think you are deserving of a little bit of slack when you hit a HR that pretty much gives your franchise a Division Title for the first time in about 30 years. I watch pretty much every game. I agree that Fielder stands there longer than Braun. But do I personally care when any player does it? No, not really.

    I won't be. I've been hoping for this for awhile now. Someone also needs to convince Hart he's not a leadoff hitter and he needs to get over... whatever it is... because they need him to bat somewhere between 3 thru 6.

    We were talking about Hairston and next year, during the game last night. He is going to be 36 years old next year, probably doesn't have too many years left. He might be tired of moving to a new city every year and decide he wants to finish his career here. I'd like to see him in a super utility role getting 4 to 5 starts a week. Platoon him at 3rd with Taylor Green. Then move him around between SS, 2B, and OF depending upon who needs the day off. If he performs and can handle more, great.

    Feeling really good about tonight. I think last night boosted the teams confidence and they gained back some of their swagger. Plus it seems like the team plays with more confidence when Greinke pitches, even away from home. No concerns about Zack. He is going to pitch well enough to keep his team in the game.

    Go Crew! Bring it back home 3-2. P.S. Speaking of "Under Pressure". I really wish we would play the David Bowie/Queen version instead of the "Ice, ice, baby" sampled version at Miller Park. Plus this just makes more sense as they normally play it with a full count or with 2 strikes on an opposing batter.

    I know we could use some guys hitting behind Braun/Fielder, we also need guys in front of them getting on base. Hart, maybe it's because he's sick right now I don't know, but he just isn't. I'd put Hairston up in the 2 spot, maybe even leading off, and leave him there for the remainder of the playoffs. Juggle the rest of the lineup however you like. I don't think it matters much who is hitting behind Fielder, they are not going to pitch to him no matter what.

    I posted this little story from a game I went to in St Louis during the 2008 season. It was the July 24th game when Braun won it with a 9th inning 2-run HR. We were sitting about 25 rows up from the field. There was an older Cards fan sitting one row in front of us. Probably in his late 60's/early 70's or so, the hard-ass type of guy, you know. Well there was a group of four Brewer fans who were not doing anything too bad. Just cheering for the Brewers, loudly yes, but not sticking it in any Cards fan faces. The hard-ass Cards fan yells over to them, "you're not getting out of the stadium alive". When they left, the hard-ass and his family walked right past us. The son said we were okay but those other Brewer fans were, out of hand or something like that. I said, "well every team has those kinds of fans, it goes both ways". OMG, I thought the old man was going to have a heart attack or punch me. Huffing and puffing, you know what I mean. I didn't say anything, but I wanted to say, "you don't think so? Well instead of sitting down here in your expensive seats, try going up to the cheap seats once and then tell me you don't have those kinds of fans." Also heard the son mutter under his breath "mmm, 10 championships."

    For a fan base that claims to "know it all" they still don't take the two minutes to find out why the Brewers do what they do on the field. Take the shirt untucking thing. Never bothered to find out the story behind it, just made assumptions. Now the Monster's Inc. Beast mode. Completely gloss over the fact it started because Fielder's kids wanted him to do it for them. Then the rest of the players and fans caught on to it, liked it, and started doing it. Just assume it's all because the Brewers are arrogant and "showboating". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif Pompous, know-it-all, asses is all well over 50% of them are.

    Greinke must go tonight. Not even a second thought. Bring it back home leading 3-2. Start thinking about Game 6 at around 10:30pm CT tonight. However if we must talk about Game 6, you can't start Marcum there. He's got to come down with some mysterious arm injury. For Game 2, you could feel something wasn't right from the beginning. I'm talking about the crowd. Wasn't the same as all the other playoff games. It was like we expected to lose from the start. A lot depends upon tonight of course. Lose and I think we see Gallardo on Sunday. Win and I would put Narveson out there for as long as he can go. Hopefully he can give you at least three innings, then whatever you need to do to bridge the gap to Hawkins, Saito, Rodriguez, and Axford for 6 thru 9. Go Crew!!

    Nice inning for Wolfie there. Good locations. Going inside and outside. Getting the first pitch over for a strike. Staying down in the zone. Moved Pujols off the plate with that 2nd pitch. Made him dance a little bit. Great start. Let's get him some runs boys.

    I am tired of seeing poor defense in CF. Give me some Carlos Gomez out there tonight. Apparently Hart does have some kind of real sickness right now. It was mentioned on the FSN post game show. I think Hart will get the night off. Would rather have Morgan in RF, would be okay with Kotsay. Set the batting lineup however you like, I don't care.

    Dancing on the line of delusional and whiny... Excuse me. What exactly am I whining about? And you don't think Gomez catches either one of those balls?

    No doubt. With Gomez in CF, Gallardo is out of the inning with no runs scored. And it's probably a 1-0 Brewers lead.

    Here is my best case scenario: Kotsay goes 2-2 with a HR and 2 RBI. The Crew gets an early lead and we see Gomez come in for defense around the 5th inning. He makes a run saving, diving catch, to end an inning, and preserve the lead. Hope this works out.

    "I'd sure like to know what was going on between Marcum and Lucroy before that pitch." It looked to me like Marcum and Lucroy talked about the pitch they wanted to throw on the mound. Then when Lucroy went back behind the plate, he put down some signs as a decoy or something, but Marcum was ready to throw the pitch they already decided upon. So it threw him off. I think Marcum over-reacted to the situation slightly, then allowed it to cause him to loose his concentration for that next pitch.
