Crowder and DJO both make big east first team. Gives MU a 33% chance of having the player of the year.

From the highlights I saw, Gardner did fine. His knee got real sore before halftime but his limited minutes seemed very efficient. Congratulations to MU for a great season (so far)

I would support it more if the 2 wild card teams would play a 3 game series. -

I dont this diminishes the regular season at all. If anything, it puts MORE emphasis on winning your division because now if you are the 4 seed, you have to win an extra game to make it into the playoffs and get into a 5 game series. Everytime a team gets the top wild card spot and loses, that's gonna be an enormous letdown. -
does anybody have a good source for finding the weather outlook (detailed) for the Milwaukee area up to 1 month out? I am interested in knowing if the mild weather thing will continue here through the rest of winter, or if we will get a late cold spell or big snow dump.

The only teams I could see buzz leaving for in the next 5 years would be Kentucky, or a major D1 school in Texas or Oklahoma. That's a pretty short list

If Zoo A La Carte is during that same time period, a visit to the Zoo that weekend is a MUST. It usually is during the same weekend as Irish Fest, so I would recommend both. If you do go to door county, I spent my 1 year anniversary there last summer and we could dig up the 2 Door County threads that are out there somewhere. Also make sure after one of the weekend games to hit up some of the Bluemound Rd Bars after the game. Perhaps take the shuttle to the game a few times from one of those places. -

3. The Wild Brew Yonder: What a happy, uplifting tale those 2011 Brewers were. A team in the second-smallest media market in baseball draws 3 million customers, finishes in first place for the first time in almost three decades, produces an MVP (Mr. Ryan Braun, ladies and gentlemen) and even employs The Artist Occasionally Known As Tony Plush. And now? Hoo boy. What a winter these guys just had. Prince Fielder takes the money and bails for Motown. The MVP awaits word on whether he's about to get suspended for 50 games. And suddenly, this tale doesn't feel so happy and uplifting anymore. Even the serenity of spring training figures to last about 30 seconds -- until the Braun verdict bombshell drops on this team. But it'll be interesting to see how the Crew sorts through it all, anyhow. why do i even bother reading ESPN?

The other day ESPN had a MLB preview, and kurkijan didn't say he is facing suspension, or may be suspended ; he just casually said that Braun will miss the first 50 games of the season. How the heck does ESPN let him get away with that?

I would recommend having someone kneel behind you on the range, and practice your take-away by slowly starting your swing and having him/her hold their hand out to stop (and hold) the clubhead when it gets to almost waist-high. Its been a long time, and I am not saying he is the better long term NBA prospect, but it seems like DJO is playing at a higher level than Wade did his final year at MU. He gets to the basket like Wade and finishes, but when he gets hot with the outside shot he is unstoppable. Last I checked, he was looking like a mid second rounder though. I hope he can sneak into the first round. There is no way DJO is playing lose to what Wade did his Junior year. I saw every home game and NCAA tourney game that year and while DJO is playing amazing this year, he is not playing on the same level as Wade.
