  1. Unfortunately for Tavarez, I don't have much faith that he could score any other type of Jennifer Lopez.
  2. I went to a Giants game during their opening series 2 years ago, and was able to get good tickets (second level I think, on the third base side, looking right out into the bay) for the second game right through their site. I guess I got lucky on the weather, I remember we took jackets but took them off and I got a mile sunburn in early April!
  3. Send me your info Invader and I'll get it off to you.
  4. I never heard anything back from lisheran, so I'm bumping this back to the top if anyone is interested.
  5. That's really exciting! Well done Jamie and thanks for the work! Very cool of the Brewers organization as well!
  6. Most places will offer to staple the receipt to the card for you, but some don't. Ask them to do it if they don't. Losing those receipts sucks.
  7. Played two more games tonight. Some more odd glitches. There was a pick off attempt on Braun, and the first base ump signaled safe, the announcers said he was safe, but Braun still trotted off the field and I got another out. Twice Fielder just wasn't on the bag. The throw wasn't off the mark, but the game didn't actually put Fielder on the bag, and they got infield hits. Announcing is still goofy. Two games in a row, Phillips starts off by saying pitchers aren't afraid of the Brewers lineup as he's previewing the opposing pitcher, and then when he previews the Brewers lineup, he praises how its full of stars from top to bottom. Finally played in Miller Park though and the crowd is nicer than most sports games I've played. They stood up in some key moments and booed the ump on close call pitches in high pressure situations. Overall, I'm enjoying playing it, but glad I rented it instead of bought it. Edit: I'm pretty sure you could stay in a rundown for about forever.
  8. Hawing, that raises an issue I've thought about before. It seems they fill the seats based more on what package you choose, than any type of seniority. Every year my seats push further and further to the outfield, which somewhat bugs me. Maybe that's indicative of more full seasons coming on board? I can understand giving them priority over my 20 game pack, but I don't really get someone who signs up new this year, to a pre-set pack, getting better seats then someone who has held a SSH account for a handful of years. My seats have never been as good as they were the first year, when I took a preset package.
  9. I'm proud to be a Partial SSH every year, but I don't consider something like the early renewal perk to be entirely free. It's an incentive to try to get my money a few months earlier, and that's not exactly free, IMO. Metavante passes were completely uninspiring to me, and I didn't renew early this year because of that.
  10. I'd have to imagine this will be even more popular than last year, so bear that in mind and get any completed ones redeemed early.
  11. I rented 2k9 last night and played 2 games. Initial impressions are mixed. It's good to play a baseball game anyway. Some oddities; 1 - The announcing is smooth, but it's pretty dumb and makes a lot of mistakes. It seems almost any contact is called a hit by Gary. You often hear a routine fly called a hit, and not like, "that one is hit in the air to left" either, more, "and there's a hit.....caught by the left fielder." They pronounce Gallardo's name wrong. I'm pretty sure at the end of every inning they say, "and the Brewers are enjoying this lead." They treat the "excitement" of pitching a shutout more like a no-hitter, which is funny. 2 - The player models and batting stances/swings I think are pretty good, however, there are some weird things, especially with Fielder. His head seems far to tiny for his body, but the really weird thing, is when there is a play on the field, his model is totally the wrong size. He's like the smallest dude on the field, noticeably smaller than the guys running to first. 3 - I've seen a two fielding glitches, in two games. 4 - Its happened a couple of times where guys have gotten down the line in record time it seems. I've had some fairly routine ground balls where I wasn't able to throw the runner out, on what should have been a normal play. Overall so far, it's been fun to play, I'm sure more oddities will reveal themselves upon further playing.
  12. Oh man, I proposed a urinal in my basement about two years ago. My wife still gets mad at me if I bring up to this day. Maybe I should start leaving the seat up, that'll make her come around!
  13. Lisheran, are you in the Milwaukee area? Send me some info.
  14. Mine came on Friday and I have a Fans Choice plan. As for seat locations, mine sure jump around a lot this year. Normally in same two sections, but I have a couple of games that are on the other side of the stadium, which has never happened.
  15. Hawing, I live like 10 minutes from the stadium. They came USPS, so odds are probably good you'll see yours in Madison tomorrow.
  16. Anybody still looking for one of these? Looks like they're sending out additional copies with SSH tickets. I already had one, so I don't really need the one I got in the mail today. If someone had something small to trade for it, that would be neat, but it's not really necessary either.
  17. I was also secretly hoping to see him do well enough to make the team. I respect the way he's handled himself since he's been a Brewer really, so I wanted to have him around and see him do well.
  18. I've not seen any jarred peanut butter that was recalled. Last I heard all jarred peanut butter was safe.
  19. I always call and order tickets to games I didn't plan on going to, instead of doing it online. You can get them to waive the fees if you do it on the phone, if you're a 20 game or more holder. It saves a few bucks per ticket. And my sales rep was the one who told me about that.
  20. The didn't even make an attempt at the real time concept anymore. In the first episode they broke it in about 20 minutes. I try to let it go, but it bothers me, because in my opinion, its what makes the show so outlandish these days. When they were setting up that Garofalo was the traitor, I was really annoyed, because it meant she spied on Chloe, issued a fake warrant, and got a swarm of police to make a cooridinated arrest in like 4 minutes. The fact that it turned out to be Sean opened that window to like 12 minutes. Way more plausible. Last night's episode was a mix. I enjoyed it actually, but it was an episode of inconsistencies in both the story and the characters. They ramped the torture aspect from really zero all season to "out of control Bauer" out of nowwhere, and then Bauer disregarded a direct order from the President to stop torturing, which I found highly out of character for Jack to disregard the President. Then the President, who so far has been all hard nosed, we don't negotiate with terrorists, and even being astute enough to stick to that when her husband was kidnapped. Yet in this episode, she orders Bauer to release her into a terrorists custody to save her daughter, and of course, now Bauer follows the President's orders, even if he doesn't agree again.
