  1. A small insect got sort of smooshed on my LCD screen and a dry cloth isn't getting it off. Any suggestions on cleaning? I heard that distilled water on a cloth works but anything else?
  2. If Cameron and Hardy would have been retained the team would have been better off. Cameron gets injured, that means more Edmonds and then Cain. Hardy would have played with Escobar filling in during injury. It wouldn't have changed anything greatly but the Brewers would have been better.
  3. The biggest difference is defense calculatiosn now can use PBP data while past defense has to be extrapolated from existing data.
  4. Hudson has pitched well but not sub 2 ERA well. He has a 95% strand rate. Narveson has pitched basically as well in August and Septemember (albeit in fewer innings).
  5. Right, but it was a lot of innings and there were really important innings. If he got the no hitter....
  6. A more relevant question is would the Brewers retire Sabathia's number if he makes the HoF
  7. I don't have children but if I did I would never allow them a webcam and if its built in I'd disable it.
  8. The audit was in the days before $30-40m in revenue sharing. The Selig's had issues, having to borrow form Pohlad to make payroll from March until June when TV revenue checks came. Different scenario now.
  9. Until Netflix or Hulu actually streams in HD there won't be much demand. And the people with true 1080p videos in digital format likely have a media server set up anyway. Yeah its probably like $3 per unit difference but until there is a true need it won't happen. Keep in mind most TVs aren't 1080p anyway.
  10. Hart likely won't be moved. He has the right to demand a trade next spring if he's traded and that jist makes finding a partner much more difficult.
  11. Rogers has been starting the entire season. Are you confusing him with Braddock?
  12. Yep it has more to do with Pena and Zorbrsit having down seasons compared to last year.
  13. Because of his no trade clause
  14. You can get a Roku box for $70 from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Rok...F8&qid=1284067140&sr=1-1
  15. I just don't get why the ump made such a big scene. Get an usher's attention, tell him to watch that guy and then let the usher's handle it. Yes they're the octogenarian Miller Park ushers but still.
  16. But Farris can still be insurance because its highly unlikely any team is going to use a 25 man spot on guy who can only play one position and can't hit. If he was about to be a minor league FA then maybe you give him a 40 man spot, but right now I'd rather have the next Inglett than Farris on the 40 man.

  18. Narveson FIP by month Apr 5.90, May 3.13. Jun 4.79, Jul 6.03, Aug 3.85, Sep 2.43. Looks pretty much like you'd expect a journeyman starter to look like. He'll have a string of good starts and a string of bad starts. He is what he is, a 4/5 type due to his problems with RH hitters.
  19. Which is the entire point. Rivera turns 41 in November. His year this year is very similar to Hoffman's last year in terms of results.
  20. We'll see. He's at 555 now (or thereabouts), but not getting any younger. Still seems pretty healthy, though. He has lost some velocity this year. He'll end up with around 560 saves after this season which probably means another 2 seasons for him to get above 600.
  21. Of course we expected Hoffman to have surpassed 600 by the end of April.
  22. 1) How new are you're TVs? Most newer sets(last 3-4 years) have tuners in them. In that case all you need is a $20 antenna. 2&3) Keep in mind the bigger the screen the worse streraming video tends to look 4) It isn't hard at all, you can get a decent card for $60. PCI-E seems to be the preferred type. The biggest issue is the lack of a guide. Windows Media Center is great at reading and getting SD signals but not HD so you can't get the guise form there. Basically you;ll ahve to schedule you own recordings. You may want to check with Charter to see if they have a life line service. Time Warner's was like $15 a month last I saw which gave you local channels and a few other basic ones. You should also get HD with that if you have a QAM tuner in your TV.
  23. Sounds like something on FSN's end
  24. Right now if a team wants Katin they have to keep him on the 25 man for a year. If he is put on the 40 man and then waived a team only needs a 40 man spot. Dillard could also be offered 40 man money with the Brewers and an NRI to Arizona and they coudl keep a 40 man spot open.
