  1. Yost was managing in hope for the best mode again
  2. Yost had Biush bat so Stetter didn't have face one RH hitter....
  3. Could someone slap Bill and tell him that the 14 pitchers is meaningless at this point?
  4. Actually it was a much better pitch
  5. Agreed but in both cases it was 3-1 count meaning he felt like he had to get something up
  6. The ump won;t give Bush a low strike hance the problems
  7. What killed Bush that inning (aside from another Weeks' spike) was that 2-1 pitch that slipped out of his hand making it 3-1
  8. Seriously, it looked liked a half swing
  9. Do you think Suppan cusses everytime BA talks about him and Moyer both being old veterans?
  10. If Bush is squeezed like that all night (curveball caught at the shins not a strike?) this will take a long time
  11. Anyone hear about aroster move to fill Gross' spot yet? I still assume its Gwynn but I fear we might see pitcher #15
  12. Robert- I think if Yost starts to use Dillon correctly, ie he is still a better hitter than Gwynn or Counell even with the platoon advantage it will be ok. I just don't trust that
  13. I'm pretty sure Gagne's plan is that since he loves Milwaukee so much he's going to have bunch of blown saves and a high ERA so Milwaukee can afford him again next year!
  14. Someone had to pay for a slow star and Dusty can't be fired right now
  15. Yeah, but as mostly phitter going forward, really the important one and there will be 100 PAs easy after Cameron comes back. Playing Gwynn vs Gross in center is big, but considering it should be Gwynn vs Hart....
  16. If Gross was given about 100 of Gwynn's 135 PAs last season, you could expected a win increase of 0.5 wins in 2007. Alone its not a huge thing but its fairly big for the limited PAs we're talking about. Gwynn was replacement level last year and little reason to expect him to be much better this year.
  17. Given that the current 3B will put up similar numbers, maybe you are the one who really needs to change your expectations?
  18. Not only a higher OPS but a higher OBP as well
  19. Its far from a bag of balls. A 4th Ofer for a really decent relief prospect is hardly a bad trade. It just really does weaken what the assumed bench will be.
  20. Actually I do think if there is a serious injury we may see the Muscle fill in, which is why I think Melvin isn't too worried about an injury situation.. But there is a definite lack of power among Gwynn, Counsell, Kapler, and Dillon. And absolutely no left handed power.
  21. Brewers Simpsons King of the Hill Family Guy Wire in the Blood Venture Brothers (when new) Bones House Reaper Smallville (Though why any more is a good question) Scrubs BSG Doctor Who (torrent) Torchwood (ditto) World of Quest Avatar (when new)
  22. Busnts are not automatic things-they fail like 33% of the time
  23. That throw wasn't even close though. Yeah other 1B dig it out but thats because they are a good 6" taller than Fielder
