  1. Of course Al knows Milwaukee's terrible plight by living 500 miles away. The fact that Milwaukee houses the world headquarters to three insanely profitable firms in Northwestern Mutual, Harley Davidson, and Manpower must mean nothing.
  2. No, MLB can do anything they please. I see no way Reinsdorf would allow Cuban in Chicago and no way will Selig cross Reinsdorf.
  3. I doi'nt cry small sample I cry Luke Scott!
  4. Consistent now means good. REally Bill was on the radio saying Syuppan needs to get more consistant. No Bill Suppan has been consistant, he been consitantly bad for 6 weeks. He needs to pitch better not at the same level.
  5. Where did the idea of Gross being slow come from? He isn't. Now eer did have Fielder and Estrada back to back for a long time which was a GIDP waiting to happen.
  6. Ok Al. When Roberts is over the hill and Gwynn is in his prime they'll be equal.
  7. It does always amaze me that people take the QB rating on faith when its really just a made up thing but can't believe that there is more beyond batting average.
  8. Sorry but the big market Twins can take on $1 million in salary no problem.
  9. Crawford is a poor man's Corey Hart.
  10. So if the Brewers are down 1 in the bottom of the 9th with a resting Fielder the only one left available, its ok for Counsell to take the last AB?
  11. Its not attendance--attendance isn't a major force anyway. Its signage and other ads. Its selling broadcast rights in Japan. Didn't people notice that there were Japanese ads in PNC when the Brewers were facing an over the hill Japanese relief pitcher? Now imagine what happens when you have the biggest Japanese star on the planet.
  12. DRays will not make that trade. Besides Crawford doesn't want to be a CFer and as such really isn't that special unless he really takes off. Neither he nor Hall really have the bat to play a corner OF position.
  13. Robert's career ISP is .102. Gwynn's ISP is half of that. That probably has a lot to do with it Al. so no, they don't project a like.
  14. Ah Belling! Insulting Cordero while hyping the "huge" "Travelgate" scandal.
  15. But can he actually play the outfield? If he can it would be great, but if he's just a C/1B then it doesn't do much for this year.
  16. Can't blame Balvasi for this one. Nintendo no doubt wants a large Mariner fanbase in Japan. And Nintendo has more money than they can spend right now anyway.
  17. My guess is that for Cordero they'll want a similar return that they got last year for worse relief pitchers. IE a cheap major league starter plus. That deal might ruin their trades going forward like the Kazmir deal ruined the DRays trades.
  18. Vargas is almost certianly gone and if Sheets resigns, Capuano or Bush could also be gone.
  19. I find it a more than fair return, just that it weakens the Brewers this year.
  20. I'd think he called him the Brown Menace. Or maybe that was Lou Dobbs...
  21. I wouldn't trust that Topher Grace.
  22. Don't blame the internet. Blame everything. Remember the FSU student who went to the game in a half shirt and cutoffs, got camera time and then was hunted down to do modeling work?
  23. I could see this happening in the offseason, but I don't see how they trade Bush for a guy that really has no place to play in Milwaukee right now.
  24. But DH's vs PHs is not much different than DHs VS Pitchers. Okay it is, but in general PHs tend to be really bad.
  25. Berman is ESPN. Thats why he gets all the big calls. Don't be surprised if he gets the Bonds call. He has a huge chunk of ownership.
