    Adam McCalvy on the IL for a few months with a sudden, serious eye problem. Had surgery, said he'll be ok, but it will take time.

    I don't care because I don't know anything about these guys and even if I did, I have no idea how they'll be as they mature in the majors. And it was just one year of Burnes, so can't expect to get their top three prospects or anything. I'll miss Burnes, though. Like him a lot. (I mean, he's not dead or anything, so I can still watch him.)

    I couldn't really care less about who was hired because honestly, I have no idea who is or will be a good manager. But those wanting to go outside the organization in a "change for the sake of change" scenario, look at the Bucks right now. Murphy may do well, he may not. He may be the reason for success or failure, he may not. But just because he's not a "fresh face" doesn't mean he's a bad choice. Plenty of fresh faces end up terrible.

    If Counsell doesn't return to Milwaukee, it's probably not some indictment of ownership. It's probably just a combination of: a) more money b) new challenge c) doesn't see a great short-term outlook for the Brewers and would rather not deal with a rebuild Now, of course, even if the new team is in a rebuild, points a) and b) outweigh it.
