    Kremblas would be a great replacement for Ned Lost. This is exactly the type of message that Brian was talking about when he stated, "Please, let's just keep things orderly and post negative comments with the idea in mind that posts should be well-thought out and put together. The same goes with positive comments as well." "Well-thought out and put together" would be the operative words in this case.

    As I've never seen AOL's browser, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and hope it helps. From the Oakham School History Website... Change Text Size in AOL: Under 'My AOL' in the AOL Toolbar, select Preferences. Then click on the WWW icon in the scrolling list on the left. On the right, click on Advanced Settings. A dialog box will appear with a collection of controls on the right and a column of options on the left. Select the Browser Display option on the left. You can set the Text Size to 'Large' or 'Largest' for more comfortable reading. Click the OK button in the Advanced Settings dialog box and then click the OK button in the Preferences dialog box to make your new settings take effect. Stephen Poley says: 16px is the typical browser default. That should render the bulk of Brewerfan's content at about 12px. Fiddle around until you're comfortable, and let us know if you need more help.

    JJHardy7, the Nashville area is in Reds home territory. You're also likely to find that the Braves are blacked out. Check out this map. When things work as intended, the Brewers would be blacked out in all of Wisconsin and Iowa, along with parts of Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota.

    Read through this section of the Usability FAQ: How do I post an image? The most important thing is that you have to find a place on the Internet to store your image. If you want to use Yuku for storage, Chris W962's albums tutorial is helpful. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to start a thread in the Issues forum. We can get into more detail there.

    Yuku doesn't convert links that are pasted or typed directly into the editor's WYSIWIG view. ezBoard would do that under some--but not all--circumstances. If you want to do a 'Cadillac' job of creating a link, this is what can go in the text field: Turnbow gives up three runs in 8th inning Putting the headline in the text field and the address in the url field will produce this: Turnbow gives up three runs in 8th inning If you hover over the link with your mouse, you'll see that I've also added a tool tip (By Rick Braun, 2007-09-07) by filling in the title field.

    I think you're missing the text you have to link. The title field creates an optional tool tip. The text field shows what appears in the message itself. If you want to create a link from scratch, hit the link button and you'll see this: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a244/casey1992/boardpics/bfnet/link_from_scratch.gif Note which boxes are required. The url and text fields are the ones that must be filled in. (Note that REQUIRED BOX and OPTIONAL TOOL TIP won't be in the link box that you see. I typed those in myself for clarity.) I believe most people will type the text they want in a message, select (highlight) it, then hit the link button. That will fill in the text box for you. I can't see any use for a tool tip that says the same thing as the link text itself. Unless I add something like the author's name and date, I usually clear that field, leaving it empty.     I believe you're always going to be blacked out in your own team's market. That "protects" local telecasts even if there isn't a local telecast. You should be able to see the game on a delayed basis once it's over.

    Please note that when creating new threads, we need to avoid the "@" character in titles. Type out "at" instead. A Yuku bug breaks the page layout in some browsers.

    Usability note: I changed"@" in the thread title to to "at". Because of a Yuku bug, "@" in thread titles causes layout to break.

    Offering insight, a chance to further 'audition' for a major league position, and a reward for a job well done would certainly all be factors. And yes, it's standard procedure. Rules allow for a minor league coach or manager to join the major league club in September. (Maybe more than one?) A couple years ago, AAA pitching coach Stan Kyles was called up. And Frank's been up in the past. A couple of other notes: I stuck the 'brewercoaches' tag on this thread for lack of another; we don't have room to tag each coach and minor league manager individually. Also, let's keep this from being a Yost referendum. There are plenty of Yost threads for that.

    You should. DirecTV has been showing most of the WMLW games on channel 658 rather than 642, though. The issue I was alluding to is that both satellite services have had problems in the past with getting 'added' games to us. I hope they're paying attention.

    I see the link, too, exactly where Peavey sees it. Also, there's a "Mark All Forums Read" link at the bottom of the main board page. I hardly ever use this feature since the migration, though. Threads and forums do a good job of marking themselves read.
