Normally, when a full lineup is posted to a thread, a mod will refer members to the Major League Forum Rules, which ask that full lineups be restricted to the lineup thread in the Designated Threads List. However, this thread has gotten into several players, the old lineup thread has dropped way back in the discussion list, and full lineups seem relevant. I'm going to designate this as the new lineup thread and replace the old one in the list.

Yes, it's a reasonable question. To have avoided the borderline condescension, it would have been more appropriate to say something like, "Linebrick hasn't worked out the best, but I think the need for bullpen help was pretty apparent."

James (who posts as ransom) and Kristin (who posts as Kristin) are the Yuku staff members who've been Brewerfan's gurus. Kristin helps with 'look and feel' issues; James helps with functionality issues (like the forums and chat rooms breaking). Both have posted here. I paged James for help, and although I was in bed while he was working on the problem, the time stamp on his e-mail to me and the time stamp on billyhallfan's lead post in this thread indicate that he got things up and running within a half hour of my page.

Who's Online can be toggled on and off by those who have administrative access to the forums. James (ransom) probably toggled it off in the process of getting the site going again last night. While none of us on the Brewerfan end have ever tried doing this, I've seen the suggestion that temporarily turning off Who's Online may help during periods of Yuku slowness. If it disappears another time, one of us may be trying to see if that suggestion helps. It's certainly a very useful feature that we want on all the time, though, unless turning it off temporarily gains us an advantage when the servers are slow.

When Corey's in proper form, I like him in any of the top six spots. He may even be the best alternative for any of those spots that don't contain Braun or Fielder.

Bob sings at Wrigley every year; I don't know why this year should be any different. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who might have heard Bob's comments, though.

Things you wouldn't see or hear on TV shows produced today: I Love Lucy: Ethel sang Shortnin' Bread with the word Mammy rather than Mama. Leave it to Beaver: Ward grilling out and asking Beaver to get him the asbestos gloves. Andy Griffith Show: A character offhandedly mentioned that he was adopting a child. Aunt Bea commented that she hoped the child was the right color. This one was just temporary, but there was a time in the 1960s where stations refused to air the I Love Lucy episode where Lucy, Ricky, Fred, and Ethel visited Cuba.

I'd say that from an ownership perspective, it'd be a heck of a lot easier to fire a Ned Yost than it would be to fire a Robin Yount or Paul Molitor. The Packers had to go through firing a head coach who had been a star player (Bart Starr). That sucked.

I can't be sure, but I think the College Years and the movies were also prime time. And you're right about retcon.

Seven showed up on a later episode when he was pictured as a missing child on the side of a milk carton. I think he appeared in similar fashion a second time, too. I believe Saved by the Bell spent most of its first-run life as a Saturday morning sitcom. There's a word for TV continuity purposely changing' date=' but danged if I could find it. It's actually 20/21 days that a player can stay in the minors without burning an option. Because the CBA verbiage has lots of 'more thans' and 'less thans', along with a rule addressing the time of day of a callup, it's hard to tell when to say "20" and when to say "21". The CBA does say 20, however. If an option isn't burned, time spent in the minors counts toward major league service.

Here are a few off the top of my head: Dick Van Dyke Show: Johnny Carson was originally considered to play the lead character. Obviously, that would have required a different name for the show. Carl Reiner played the lead character in the show's pilot. Gilligan's Island: Carroll O'Connor was originally considered for the role of the Skipper and Raquel Welch was originally considered for the role of Mary Ann. Bewitched: Dick Sargent was the preferred choice for the role of Darrin when the show first began. He wasn't available, so Dick York was selected instead. Years later, when York's health prevented him from continuing, Sargent replaced him. Bewitched: While it was never mentioned for obvious reasons, Uncle Arthur (Paul Lynde) is widely recognized as TV's first gay sitcom character. Bewitched: Censors let Endora and Maurice live a blatantly open marriage because they were a witch and a warlock. Bewitched: This was the first 'modern' sitcom to allow a married couple to sleep in the same bed. Cheers: William Devane (Knots Landing) was first considered for the role of Sam Malone. Married... With Children: In the early episodes, it was mentioned several times that Peggy Bundy's family lived in Milwaukee. As time went on, her family lived in the fictional Wanker County, Wisconsin. However, she did attend Polk High School with husband Al in Chicago, but the connection was never explained. She was pregnant with Kelly when they got married after graduating. Married... With Children: There were several episodes where Peggy Bundy was pregnant. It was fully intended that the Bundys would have a baby on the show. The neighbors, (the D'Arcys) were expecting at the same time. When actress Katey Sagal lost her baby in the seventh month, it was decided that neither pregnancy ever happened because it would be too hard on Sagal to have a baby on the show. The episodes were 'erased' when Al woke up from a 'Dallas-like' dream. Segal's subsequent two pregnancies were covered up by creative camera work and maternity leaves. Leave it to Beaver: Censors delayed the airing of an early episode for several weeks because it showed a toilet in the bathroom. The toilet was germane to the plot as the toilet tank was home to the boys' pet alligator. Brady Bunch: Their bathroom never had a toilet. Leave it to Beaver: Did episodes on alcoholism and divorce years before the topics became 'fashionable'. Dick Van Dyke Show: Drove censors into a hyper-tizzy by doing race-related comedy ahead of its time. In one episode, Rob Petrie was convinced his baby was switched at birth. Laura Petrie was relieved when they found out that Mr. and Mrs. Peters, the couple allegedly possessing the Petrie baby, was black. On another episode, Rob and Laura accidently got black permanent dye on their hands and arms before they were to accept a racial equality award. Petticoat Junction: Sharon Tate (who was murdered by Charles Manson) was cast as the first Billie Jo, but appeared on publicity pictures only. Some say it was because she posed in Playboy. Others explain that her agent preferred that she persue a movie career. The Lucy Show: Vivian Vance played TV's first divorced sitcom regular.

Yuku should have been a bit more proactive about these filters when its structure was first designed. Chances would have been lessened that the domain would have even been listed in the first place. Adding to what Kristin mentioned above, besides marital status, "I'm here for" and "Orientation" have been removed from member profiles. Additionally, the word 'profile' can cause a problem in and of itself. One way people might have success at work is to contact the company who does the filtering and ask that brewersfandemonium.yuku.com be recategorized. As an example, I see securecomputing.com classifies this site as Dating/Social Networking, Dating/Social, and Dating. You can request re-classification, but one of the problems I see is that you need to "Specify the database version in use." I'm going to try making a submission based on 'all' of the categories and databases and see what happens. Does it try to block the Off Topic forum or does it just get obnoxious? I do see that tags are listed as meta keywords in each forum's header, so it's certainly possible that Norton could be looking at those. On the other side of the coin, I'd think a lot of tags written as single words (cablesatellite, spywarevirusfirewall) might be hard for software to recognize. I'd say 'videogames' and 'youtube' could be very recognizable, though.

Lots of times we get a group together and use both canoes and kayaks on a river trip. In a kayak, it's pretty much guaranteed that you're going to get wet, even without tipping over. In a canoe, you stand a very good chance of avoiding it; some people prefer that. Anyway, the canoes can handle the beer supply. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif The learning curve for kayaking basics is pretty easy; getting steering skills down pat comes much more quickly than in a canoe. I highly recommend the (Bois) Brule River at Brule, WI (near Superior). The river is tamer south of Highway 2 and more 'exciting' north of Highway 2. I like starting in Brule, going north, then taking out just before the river widens as it enters Lake Superior. Brule River Canoe Rental offers equipment and shuttles. I believe there's also another outfitter in town, too. I see on their website that this is the time of year they sell used equipment. Did you happen to 'practice' tipping the kayak on Lake Minoqua? Getting out of the boat while you're 'upside down' is a good skill to become familiar with before you're forced to do it. It always seems like you're under water forever, but it's really only a few seconds. That's the first thing you have to tell yourself when you dump.

That editor is what's supposed to load for Safari users, but not for other browsers. I have no clue what might have happened. Things have been fine for me in Firefox. You could try clearing your browser's cache and seeing if the WYSIWYG editor comes back for you. If the problem persists for any length of time, you might want to file a Yuku support ticket. If you do that, make sure you identify which browser and operating system you're using.

Kayaking is way cool, especially in some nice rapids. The only downside is that there isn't room for a cooler of beer.
